I really like the story flow. The MC development is nice and reasonable for me its not overpower at all (compare to others :D) . I hope the writer will continue to add more story about wang yao. There is still alot can be tell. There is alot place that he is not yet discovered and alot of people that he is not yet interact. But its nice to read it.

The novel is quite nice. It has a slice of life feel as the MC obtains the system and gets used to a life of planting herbs, practicing taoism and healing people.
Some conflict are unnecessary, but there is little face slapping compared to most other chines novels which is a plus. There is not much world-building or descriptions of any sort, mostly because it is set in real places.

Now, for the main purpose of this comment. To rebut some of the statements tides made in his/her review.

As of where I have read to, the MC is not arrogant. Some of his actions are selfish, and it is in due cause. He can't help everyone, so he might as well decide who he would help. That's the same thing any doctor or logical person would do in that situation in my opinion. So that is okay.

He reveals his arrogance by refusing to treat people who don't follow his treatment plans? What? What is the point of treating someone that won't do their part to be healed? If they are going to die anyways or are not going to get healed why do you still waste expensive herbs and effort to treat them. Kindness? Humility? A treatment is two ways. A doctor gives a prescription and the patient takes it. If the patient does not want to take the prescription but still wants to magically get healed, they should go to someone else and not waste his time. The disease is serious that is why lifestyle changes are required. If the patient cannot adhere to that, their determination is not strong enough to overcome that problem yet. Should the MC pamper them and call them regularly to ensure they are not drinking? If you want to be that kind of person, so be it. Saving someone that is drowning does not mean you would invest yourself in a knowingly fruitless endeavor when there are so many other people to save.

The MC using his medical knowledge to hurt other people that don't conform with his morals is wrong. I agree with you on that.

He only attacks goons because they are in his reach. He attacked the rich kid Li Shaoyang cuz he was nearby. He won't go out of his way to attack the rich people behind them cuz he doesn't have time for that. Why would I travel all the way ti another town just to get back at someone? You made it seem like he was scared or doesn't attack rich people. It was a matter of convenience.

He had some oversight regarding his formation. Especially after an old man had died previously. However you fail to realize the reason why he attacked the old man's son. His formation was in a remote place where rumors had spread of danger. The formation doesn't normally kill, it only makes people dizzy. It doesn't even normally kill old people unless they have underlying conditions. So you could say he mu*dered the man, but it could also be likened to the hastening of the inevitable. Still he was wrong regarding the formation and hiding his engagement in the mu*der from the village. However, the old man's son came to make trouble and get money. For that reason he came to shout at the mc's parent, so the MC got angry despite his guilt, which he clearly felt. He knew the son's motive and the way the son carried it out was aggravating. He is wrong, but not as bad as your comment made him out to be.

As for the romance? I don't know what the author is trying to do.

Spoiler

So s*upid ending, this was one of my favorites but the ending is just sooooo baaaaaad. It looks like the auteur didn't want to work on this book anymore and just wanted it too finish it. It could become one of the greatest book that I read. But not anymore.

Spoiler why it s**ked:

Spoiler

He killed his loved rival (time skip) ohh married (time skip) ohh visiting friends (time skip)... (time skip)...

[collapse]

From so slowed pase book just going so fastw with time skip is not good.
And how do I change rating to 2 stars.
