The holographic gaming league is a showcase for Alpha players, and Polaris, a team that had faded out, actually recruited a wizard whose other identity is an Omega in order to return to the professional gaming world.

The little wizard was very beautiful, but standing in a group of tall alpha players, his head couldn’t even be seen, and from time to time he would have to tug on the corner of captain Lin Mingfei’s shirt.

The entire league felt that they could ridicule the former King of Magic, Lin Ming Fei, who had fallen from the high god-like altar.

Later, Xia Tong used a forbidden spell to bind them together in the arena, and the little wizard knocked them over one by one with his staff, yelling angrily, “Apologize to our captain! If you don’t apologize, you will all be sent home! If you apologize, I will sing for you!

“Shit, he’s so cute!” exclaimed the captives in unison.

Xia Tong, as the only Omega in the holographic gaming industry, is not only the mascot of the P-team, but also the object that all teams are trying to poach and for whom fanboys and fangirls scream about everywhere.

The day after winning the league tournament, an alpha in a suit knocked on the door of the P team’s club.

“Xia Tong is my lost custom mate. Please have your club return him immediately and let him go back with me to have a baby.”

Lin Ming Fei’s bare, lean upper body stood in front of the door, a cigarette in his mouth, his powerful pheromones like a mountain of water: “Do you have the guts to say that again?”

Let me make this real simple for you: Did you ship Honey/Mori from Ouran (OHSHC) and want to something similar to that pairing? Are you willing to ignore nonsensical plot/eSports mechanics for the sake just of the pairing alone? If yes, continue, if no, turn back.

The pros are that the main pairing is cute, the AB side pairing was pretty interesting (They were schoolmates! My jam!), it wasn't a terribly written story and it didn't drag on for ages. Xia Tong and Lin Ming Fei are pretty cute together and... more>> honestly the appeal of small innocent and cute omega x big strong and competent alpha isn't lost on me (it's an oldie but a goodie for a reason). There were funny moments like XT selling out LMF to their manager several times when LMF was trying to do 'bad things' with him and I have a soft spot in my heart for XT's little robot Debonair. One really cute moment is when XT yells to give back (snowman) Zero's head and all his teammates + LMF himself are all like ???? But then just go back to what their doing because 'Head, innocence, body, whatever it's all Xia Tong's anyways'. If you're willing to turn away from the plot holes, weak plot lines and honestly just read for the romance, it's not a bad story to pass some time with.

Now the cons, which sadly there are more cons then there are pros. The big thing is that characterization is really shallow; and everyone is more or less pretty one dimensional. Hell, one teammate (Bo Yu) is even forgotten half the time because he has little to no dialogue. In fact, despite being the MC, XT suffers the most from lack of characterization by basically being a satellite character whose purpose is just to be cute and his ambitions begin and end with "Zero (LMF's gamer ID) ". He starts gaming because of Zero, he joins the team because he wants to stay by Zero, he wants to improve not because he likes gaming but just because he doesn't want to be dead weight to Zero, he spends every waking minute with Zero and honestly every other word out of his mouth is Zero. Yes, he was sheltered and naive and thus it makes sense that he's reliant on Zero; but as a character he reads as literally nothing without Zero and there was a chapter dedicated to XT trying to find a hobby and it circled right back around to 'being with Zero'. Even the villain has better motivations than XT does despite it just being 'I want money'. Honestly the entire eSports/game portion of the novel is nonexistent because most of the battles happen off screen and the story just cuts immediately to the after portion of the matches. The game mechanics also don't make sense, like for example you can equip things other than shoes in the shoe slot and it's just supposed to be an Easter egg mechanic. However, the author themselves state that it's all made up nonsense and to not look at it too much so make of that what you will.

Despite my harsh words that make up 80% of my long af review and low rating (it's a 2.5 to me truly), I don't think this was an awful story; that is if you just read for the pairing/romance and nothing else. The eSports/gaming portions will leave you lacking and honestly the whole Omega in an Alpha-dominated sport gimmick isn't that important to the story because it's either "Omg the Omega is so cute" or "Omega?? In my Alpha eSports?? Rejected." And used as a plot device to keep the story moving. Do not read this for the setting or plot, you'll just get upset because honestly there's little to no gaming and the plot is pretty shallow. If you're reading for the romance between XT and LMF you have a better shot at being happy with what you're reading, but be warned that other than being a cute couple, they have little depth by themselves. I do want to point out though that it's actually not legal to buy Omegas in the story; it's a "grey" market and the set up is like an orphanage where the kids are sold under the table. For lack of a better term/comparison, it's similar puppy mills where it's illegal and arrestable but you can still find/buy from one. <<less

Overall 3-3.5 with rare 4 stars chapters.
Silly white cute fluffy novel. You see the title, you read the summary, you get exactly that.

Also Leave your brain at the door.

Technology is advanced but society is backwards. People can like genetically make omega or custom made child brides. They can legally buy them (?) but also have omega protection association (??) lol tf is this society. If you're uncomfortable or triggered please be advised.

Game is like MMORPG Ragnarok style with capsules where you can level up and have pvp or group fight or just roam the game. Alphas are the one commanding the league because your body and IQ directly affect how you play the game.

So MC is a silly white cute but OP kind of MC. Imagine a baby chick and that's basically mc

Spoiler

It's been said that he's the best in appearance and IQ but extremely sheltered. He's a canary child bride owned by scum rich alpha but considered a defect because he's can't give birth. After it's confirmed the alpha want to throw him and he suddenly can run away and ended up playing games lol.
He's only 17, been imprisoned and watched his whole life, no formal schooling either it seems (?) so I'm giving his shoujo ish naivety and skewed common sense a lot of pass. This naivety and childishness will bring troubles for MC but He'll be more perceptive and self aware but still be childish later on.

MC is an OP wizard with no CD attack because his high IQ and it's been said that the higher IQ u have the less CD you get.

[collapse]

Their relationship

Spoiler

He's good to ML mainly because ML is probably the first human being good to him without expectations. He also have nowhere to go and no directions as it seems he's been told to be breeding machine.

And so he kind of latch onto ML like a baby chick lol.

[collapse]

ML is the previous male god in the circle but due to health problems semi retired and left the circle for two years. Handsome, capable and OP. Arrogant and not afraid to incite hate. It's kind of refreshing since we usually have cold type ML but this ML just hit when he wanna hit and hit efficiently lol

Spoiler

He had scandal with a fan that ended in the fan accident and he ended up worsening his eye condition.

He is a shooter/sniper with OP talents. He gave the rights of the club to the manager but the manager ended up selling it.

[collapse]

There isn't much focus on esport but more of fluffy romance and circumstances regarding MC and ml. The comedy is kind of slapstick but it works. Antagonists are as 2d as they come.
There are tons of small details left unwritten and a lot of plot holes but it's the kind of mindless fluff ML coddling MC type of story.

Shallow plot. Cant even be considered e sport. All gaming was done in background. Mc's sole purpose is to be cute and beautiful with no personality. Very shallow and immature writing overall.

Okay, this is either going to be a hit or a miss. It depends on the person. If you like brainless, fluffy novels with absolutely no substance, this is totally made for you. 4 stars from me, as I enjoy these stories when I want to recover from something heavy and angsty.

Spoiled and sticky MC, he's your average epitome of innocence and naivety. Everyone thinks he's cute and his looks are always complimented.

The ML is strong and mysterious, yet another cliche. It's the usual MC-ML dynamic that you'd expect from... more>> these types of novels. Strong, doting ML x Spoiled, coddled MC.

Plot wise, the novel doesn't go much into actual esports. It's just the setting, nothing is really delved into. I feel the most for the MC's past. He was basically a canary for his previous spouse (spouse not by choice). He acted like a sheltered doll, because of his position as a child bride for an alpha. This alpha spouse constantly cheated on him, verbally abused him- he's just a really disgusting guy. Thankfully, the MC had enough brains to escape that situation, since his spouse wanted to use him as a plaything because the MC had a defect and couldn't reproduce with him.

Not much substance, every side character and antagonist is 2-dimensional. Don't go into this novel with high expectations, it's as cliche and brainless as you could possibly come by. Honestly really shallow, but not bad if it's what you're looking for. <<less

3.5/5. The e-sport is really just a setting, its constantly there throughout the story, but its use is just to incite drama, the actual e-sport parts aren't really in detail. Read it for the romance and the drama, I guess.

The novel isn't particularly bad, but it isn't really good. The characters have personality, but they don't have depth to them. The plot is there, but it's full of plotholes. The novel itself is a typical ABO with a typical dense protagonist, so don't use your brain to read this. It... more>> passes as a novel if you don't think much into it. Works as a novel with a good amount of drama and fluff to read for people who enjoy light stuff. Don't expect a lot.

It's honestly not my type of novel, but it's a good novel for those who like novels with little plot and more fluff, I guess. Sorry for the bad English and have a nice day. <<less

Good and really cute. Nothing much to say but I really like how the MC is not OP from the start but did learn step by step. The part in the synopsis is what happen quite later in the story. There aren't much gaming stuff tbh, more about teamwork between the members. Quite funny as well and just enough fluff

The novel is okay, it's not that heavily focused on e-sports, it's more of a mix of romance and conflicts. At the first half of the novel, the e-sports is still there, but as we go the latter half, the game scenes gradually diminished.

The characters are cute, specially the Polaris team. I like the character interactions between the different teams. The antagonists are kinda low level though, most of their schemes are always childish and focused on Xia Tong. It's okay if it's just one or two times, but repeatedly?... more>> No way.

Overall, it's a 4/5 for me. <<less
