Yi Zhize, an elite lawyer who graduated from a renowned university of politics and law, is a hotshot in the A City legal circle. He is a handsome man with excellent practice and elegant taste, but his personality is indifferent and cold, a flower of the high mountains. In recent times, due to several bloody cases he has taken on, he has had a series of nightmares for several days in a row, triggering mental anxiety. Yi Zhize was introduced to psychiatrist Ou Tingyun by a friend. What he never imagined was that that afternoon’s mundane first meeting would be the start of a lifetime of entanglement. Who has become the cure for who, and who has become the patient for whom?

“Zhize, shall I help you or shall you help yourself?”
“You, help me.”
I sink into hypnosis.
“Tingyun, you…?”
“Shh, do as you’re told.”
You delve into seduction

It's very entertaining and interesting. Dr. Ou among other online novel psychiatrist during treatment is quite believable, his words while he puts his patient under hypnosis but the entirety of the novel, not quite, it seems to follow the older dramatic bl. His character transgress his profession's code of ethics. Their relationship is quite questionable in a sense you'd ask if it's just conditioning for codependency. It reminds me of the manhwa "The Beast Must Die" but that it's a a different state of mind, and that the MC is... more>> the target of obsession while in tbmd the MC is a partner to the crime and his salvation.

The conflict although you know is coming, doesn't really justify the built up. For a short novel, it's not bad.

But I have to say that MC is your usual, stubborn, recluse, with sad past, and although said to be smart isn't in terms of their emotions and any decisions with connection to that and whose pride won't swallow even under any circumstances. He would resist something he likes because the terms doesn't give him the better benefits. I think it's admirable but reading novels for years and always encountering this same personality isn't really interesting anymore.

Spoiler

I enjoyed this greatly, I like characters who mask their face with gentle personality but actually twisted inside. Especially in here where they depict him as pathetically obsessed. Although I would have preferred him to be more of a psychopath than paranoid but that would greatly change the story since that'd make him emotionally detached. It also doesn't help how little we personally know about Dr. Ou.

There's two ending but with all what happened during climax, I personally like the BE, it's better for my opinion. There's peace in that, at least for Dr. Ou. <<less

Translator here! I absolutely love this novel, it was my gateway to this author, who I am totally enamoured with. She doesn't add unnecessary fillers or useless issues just to prolong her stories. Her writing style is really nice as well.

As for this novel itself, it's definitely more drama than fluffy and happy. And there are more heavy topics, such as ... more>>

, but as the other commenter said, their relationship makes sense. They are two unhealthy/hurting people who lock on to each other.

I also appreciate that the author gave us two endings. You can decide if you think their story deserves a happy ending or a bad ending, and can continue their story past the happy ending through the bonus chapters.

The author really put the time into research for this novel. So much so that she is actually taking a law exam, even though it wasn't what she studied in school! <<less
