The review is sick! Why is it rated so low? I guess people just pressed a button.

It's one of my favorite short novels, although short but it captivated my heart. There's no otherworldly plot or any sour drama. But yeah there's some frustration but I like it.

... more>> I like the MC's out-of-control, out-of-the-way feelings for ML.

I've been sick of reading 'love interest falls in love first' and then the author abusing the gong, then the readers punching him like some airbag. So now I think it's good to have some dignity for the gong once in awhile.

This novel clearly satisfied that craving of me. I liked the MC's initiatives and his bold personality.

The gong may not be the first person to fall in love or very active in pursuit, but he's not bad. He actually is silently tender type of person, so it's all good.

It's recommend if you like a MC who's not pushy and passive in romantic relationship. <<less

  1. It's such an underrated novel! MC : MC is a very spoiled child who always causes trouble here and there. His family is very supportive of him so even though he's quite naughty, they always love him and it's very enviable. MC is also a little rich guy.

    ML

    : ML is a handsome and studios school genius who has a soft heart. He's not very sociable but he's gentle and mostly a tsundere. He's poor so he is kinda insecure in their relationship and feels he doesn't deserve mc

    The MC pursues ML for 3 years. He falls in love in first sight with the ML in their first year of high school and keeps pursuing him till university. Although he also feels down from time to time. He's always able to life his mood up

    It's very much my type of novel with an proactive MC who is not passive and tsundere. The MC is fully engaged in the development of their relationship. Although the ML"s feelings are very vague for the MC in the beginning but he has his difficulties. I really love the way MC is so persistent which may make some people annoyed and think it's harassment. Although it quite is but I'm happy to indulge in the guilty pleasure. He's super lovable. Hope to see people get to this novel and a complete translation

4⭐️ but ill just round it up to 5.

Love the romance between them. Both live each other deeply but there are definitely obstacles between them. I applaud the MC for being so persistent and relentless in terms of chasing the ML. Faced with the ML's countless 'rejections' and cold responses, the MC still stayed and tried to court the ML. But I definitely didn't like the ML much... no matter what the situation was and what you are going through, its not right to make someone you love dearly go... more>> through all you countless 'rejections'. MC was honestly just left hanging there. They were neither in a actual relationship nor not in a relationship. But I guess they love each other and got their happy ending in the end soooo...... <<less

He realised he was homos*xual and educated himself, he was clingy but he knew where to draw the line and oftentimes read into what the ML was thinking. He worked and studied hard as well to get into the same uni. He's often called spoiled in the novel, but it takes a lot of effort to get reciprocation from a tsundere and I feel like although he might be coming across as annoying, he wouldn't have been this way if the ML truly hated him.

Again as w all tsunderes ML loved the MC in his own way. I really felt like he loved the MC during the last few chapters. It's explained why the ML turned out to be the way and that's why the MC and ML are a good match.

There's h*mophobia, and it's quite realistic in modern day china, btw this is set on 202X so it's present day but since it's fiction there's a happy end.

The novel is pretty short and sweet and the MTL is 70% readable. Give this novel a try if you like tsundere characters getting together w obsessed characters. <<less

Some of the main characters' family members (not all) are pretty awful. Like, very homophobic. I would say the level of their h*mophobia is pretty in line with what is typically seen in other BL novels featuring homophobic relatives.

I can see why some people might not like the two main characters at first. MC is always VERY forward and appears very inconsiderate of others including the ML. ML is very bad at communicating. BUT! I recommend sticking with this story to the end.

At first I got annoyed at the MC, but then he grew on me as more of the pairing's backstory was revealed. Then I got annoyed at the ML, but then he grew on me A LOT as even more backstory got revealed. There are a lot of circumstances behind why this pairing acts the way they do, and those circumstances don't get revealed until the second half of the story.

Don't go into this novel expecting pure fluff. It isn't a pure dog blood novel, but there is a decent amount of angst and drama. If you're wondering if the ending is a happy ending or bad ending:

Actually 4 ✨ but I’ll give extra to rate it up. First of all, MC may look forceful and coquettish, but as you get into the story, you’ll realize how it actually /works/ for both of them.

Eventhough it’s short, the story has almost everything — the angst, the chasing game, the seriousness, the coming out to parents and the epilogue with hint of side couple.

Why I wanted to give 4 stars was simple. I’m not a fond of flashback plot, especially when there’s no clear divider. It makes me confused... more>> if this is still the present timeline or the past. If I have to even add more, sometimes I skip the whole chapter of the flashback because while it’s good to understand the background, but I prefer to know the future of their relationship more.

So yeah, but anyway, it’s a quick read and quite enjoyable too for me. Tbf, I’m looking for story where MC chase after ML and then gave up so it’s now the ML’s turn to chase. Lol

This novel is so bad - I thought I was in for something good reading the synopsis but the MC is irredeemable. I'm going to add some tags because this should have additional trigger warnings for s*xual assault, blackmail, and revenge p*rn. In the first chaper the MC does all these things. literally s*xually assualts the ML by kissing him multiple times without consent and ML is discribed as disgusted by this, threatens the ML that is he doesnt go along with it he'll make sure ML's entire family doesnt have a job, blackmails the ML with his family's position, and threatens to release non-consentual revenge p*rn of the ML.

There is no way to redeem himself from that and with the timeline of the story, the MC has presumably been doing this for 2 years. That is not being proactive that is illegal behavior and any relationship coming from that is just Stockholm syndrome. Dropping. <<less
