The sequels of the game were mostly worse than the original.

All I wanted was to see the hidden happy ending,

but now I have to continue the love story at the academy.

─ For her happiness, please protect every love that exists.

Might be a translation error, but the parasocial relationship is kind of taking me out of it. Without noting the extra circumstances of being teleported into the game... more overtly questioning if she was truly just a character in a game at the time. It reads as really cringey.

Its also not hitting more nuanced notes for me, and repeating old thoughts sort of circularly. So this last area in the writing feels inept.

We'll see if it turns around, but it's definitely decent up to now.

MC lives up to his name, he'll bring all characters to a pure love ending. No harem, no ntr, no sad endings here.

MC is kind of OP so I'm always expecting him to win. The author makes up for the lack of mystery in the fights with good backstories for the MC and FMC.

Objectively

4 stars. Loved this one so far. Very fun main character, intriguing relationships with both the main characters and side characters that keeps you engaged, and a fairly intriguing plot. Only issue is some persistent issues with grammar and gender, and occasional missing words or parts of sentences, and some issues with the inconsistency of the world building of the game itself as the author seems to change their mind about what kind of game it is throughout the story. With some extra editing this would be easily 5, and... more>> the game itself is far less important than the character relationships which is what I'm reading for. <<less

Objectively speaking, MC falling in love with a game character is kinda weird. But personally? It doesn't feel weird in this novel (speculation ahead, light spoiler)

Spoiler

The scenes with FMC before she became real involve some pretty deep dialogue, including MC's real features which he added to his character, and I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out the game was real all along.

It is very well explained why MC feels the way he does, and you'll melt when you read FMC saying "Sir Knight!" this, Sir Knight that with the most enthusiastic face you can imagine.

Only frustrating thing is that the readers know things way ahead of MC, so it feels frustrating waiting for some reveals. Here's how long you'll wait:

Spoiler

It takes some 90 chapters for the novel to become fluff, with MC finally finding out who the saintess is. But MC bas some clues starting at ch70.
