I started with the manhua, but the novel is even better, obviously because in the novel, there's a lot more details and nuances.

i kinda have mixed feelings about the 'method' the author used to give the MC a lower power, but, nothing so bad. At least the progressions isn't so slow :D

Its good but their certain things I don't like about this novel, for one being the regressor is 15 yrs old that the author for some reason always mention how the MC is smoking a cigarette. Its either the author is nicotine addict, or some tobacco company is sponsoring him. Also, for the MC being in the military in his past life and also being a warrior he kinds of act dumb half the time.

Pretty great so far. I am looking forward to it. I'd love it to be a harem but lets see. Harem or not, I love the story so far even if its just 9 chapters. But then again, all stories start out great. Its about keeping it at that level that matters.

I really like this novel. It has an engaging plot which makes you crave for more updates. BUT! But while reading the only thing I was dissatisfied with was just how annoying the MC was.

Lets list all the annoying things about MC till where I have read:

• • Curses like hell. He curses all the time even in places and scenes that should not have anyone cursing. It's really annoying

• • Is not a very nice friend.

• • He is underage (14-15 yrs) and he smokes!

• • He has no respect, no manners whatsoever. Like I know you used to be a mercenary but now you are a student of Empire's best school

• • He mocks his timid friend who cries easily everytime. Like it's not a sin to be weak.

Another thing which annoys me is that every female except for his biological sister seems to be interested in MC as more than a friend. PLEASE NO HAREM!

I'm gonna start by saying that I've had a lot of fun reading this novel. The story is engaging, the setting is quite interesting and the characters are pretty likeable.

it's because they wete on the right place at the right time. And while it made sense the first time, it's starting to become more and more unbelievable.

Still, the story has been really engaging overall and I have a lot of expactations for what the author will be showing in the next chapters <<less

what I find GREAT about the mc

• he swears, swearing is cool
• he is an honest friend
• his character is consistent with what he used to be, so he smokes
• again his character is rough around the edges and doesn't magically change.
• he wants his friends to be strong so they can look after themselves.

i remember every time a character time travels reincarnates etc and their personality
just randomly changes or w/e people whinge but now losers whinge about the opposite lol

I highly recommend this novel.

As someone who is fairly new to reading novels and web series, I find this one really enganging and very easy to understand in the sense that the translation is on point and the flow of the story dosen't get stale.

Story wise I love the fact that the MC has his flaws and his unique quriks aswell as all the other characters.

The Novel is a good read when I’m bored but honestly I read this novel just to read Peptobismol’s TL notes cause he’s really down bad lmao.

the main character is dense but not in the dumb MC way, he just doesn’t himself being worth the love of the FML.

The side characters are good too so that’s a plus.

So I started reading this as a manga and so far it has been the only novel (alongside the beginning after the end & douluo dalu) that has caught my attention so much that I needed to read the novel.

Typical OP MC, nice storyline and not just "they wronged me" isekai. The world build is nice, as it's not the usual orcs/elven theme, or just magic. I highly rec this series to everyone it is a intriguing story about a man who regresses back in time by another regressor, in order to stop the world from destruction by another race the MC is childish but smart at the same time ad despite being a regressor he is not that masterly smart person who knows about everything as he was a commoner academy life is new to him and he does face some challenges (only some) all in all this is must to read
talking about the translation it really good and makes us feel the story
though there are problems too it substantially improves as the story progresses.

Started with the manhwa and thought it was interesting. After getting to chapter 30 something there was someone in the comments who mentioned a novel and I got very excited to discover that it was way ahead. Definitely recommend giving this a read, if you want to dip your toes in check out the manhwa.

The best part about this novel is our beloved TL!
TL is funny, quirky and very active. Responds to comments left under the chapter under the translation. TL is also very jealous of the MC and thus playful banter is always present.

MC is a regressor who has changed his beginnings which changes his whole future now and which is why he is not a know all which can be very annoying. Do keep in mind that he was a commoner mercenary but he is treated differently now which leads to new experiences.

Story is amazing. Plot twists, world building, a little bit of harem building too and not a cliche story.
Side characters are strong too but overshadowed by MC due to his ridiculous strength despite having a lot of setbacks. However, you can genuinely see their growth when you compare their current selves to their beginnings.

Overall, an amazing read. Highly recommended. You are not going to regret it.

P.S: You can also roast the TL if they made any errors in the translation. JK just let them know it's an error and they will try to improve it. We love our TL and we genuinely don't want them quitting!

I’m really enjoying this novel. The characters, while being a bit overpowered, still feel pretty balanced against the forces they encounter. For a pretty serious in general story line it still has a lot of humour to balance everything out and keep you, as a reader, engaged. It does have a slight “Oblivious MC” feel but it’s more like a misunderstanding of the people involved rather than the standard “everybody loves him and he really doesn’t get it at all”.
