Its good but their certain things I don't like about this novel, for one being the regressor is 15 yrs old that the author for some reason always mention how the MC is smoking a cigarette. Its either the author is nicotine addict, or some tobacco company is sponsoring him. Also, for the MC being in the military in his past life and also being a warrior he kinds of act dumb half the time.

I really like this novel. It has an engaging plot which makes you crave for more updates. BUT! But while reading the only thing I was dissatisfied with was just how annoying the MC was.

Lets list all the annoying things about MC till where I have read:

    • Curses like crazy. He curses all the time even in places and scenes that should not have anyone cursing. It's really annoying.
    • Is not a very nice friend.
    • He is underage (14-15 yrs) and he smokes!
    • He has no respect for others, no basic manners whatsoever. Like I know you used to be a mercenary but now you are a student of Empire's best school
    • He mocks his timid friend who cries easily everytime. Like it's not a sin to be weak.
Another thing which annoys me is that every female except for his biological sister seems to be interested in MC as more than a friend. PLEASE NO HAREM!

Pretty great so far. I am looking forward to it. I'd love it to be a harem but lets see. Harem or not, I love the story so far even if its just 9 chapters. But then again, all stories start out great. Its about keeping it at that level that matters.

its crazy, but we got a good story, good plotline, fresh medieval style with modern academy enrich with swords and magic, dragons and demons, angels and cults, but we freakin got a regressed MC, it seem he regressed with the memories of past life, but the attitude, the character of a warrior veteran did not regressed, a much more mature character should have been portrayed by the MC but no, we got an idiot, immature and useless MC 🤦🏻‍♂️ never saw a regressed person acting like a newbie the whole... more>> story, its crazy. what I find GREAT about the mc

  • he swears, swearing is cool
  • he is an honest friend
  • his character is consistent with what he used to be, so he smokes
  • again his character is rough around the edges and doesn't magically change.
  • he wants his friends to be strong so they can look after themselves.
i remember every time a character time travels reincarnates etc and their personality

just randomly changes or w/e people whinge but now losers whinge about the opposite lol

I highly recommend this novel.

As someone who is fairly new to reading novels and web series, I find this one really enganging and very easy to understand in the sense that the translation is on point and the flow of the story dosen't get stale.

Story wise I love the fact that the MC has his flaws and his unique quriks aswell as all the other characters.

I like the story and the way it is written, it makes you want to read more. I like Ronan's personality, but I feel like the smoking and swearing are a bit too much, also why does he spit on the ground every 10 seconds?! Also the TL is amazing.

I started with the manhua, but the novel is even better, obviously because in the novel, there's a lot more details and nuances.

i kinda have mixed feelings about the 'method' the author used to give the MC a lower power, but, nothing so bad. At least the progressions isn't so slow :D

The Novel is a good read when I’m bored but honestly I read this novel just to read Peptobismol’s TL notes cause he’s really down bad lmao.

the main character is dense but not in the dumb MC way, he just doesn’t himself being worth the love of the FML.

The side characters are good too so that’s a plus.

So I started reading this as a manga and so far it has been the only novel (alongside the beginning after the end & douluo dalu) that has caught my attention so much that I needed to read the novel.

Typical OP MC, nice storyline and not just "they wronged me" isekai. The world build is nice, as it's not the usual orcs/elven theme, or just magic. I highly rec this series to everyone it is a intriguing story about a man who regresses back in time by another regressor, in order to stop the world from destruction by another race the MC is childish but smart at the same time ad despite being a regressor he is not that masterly smart person who knows about everything as he was a commoner academy life is new to him and he does face some challenges (only some) all in all this is must to read

though there are problems too it substantially improves as the story progresses.

Before the review sorry for my English (not my first language).

The foundation of the novel is full of potential but doesn't fully exploit what it can do. I'm quite a grumpy reader and this novel made me so annoyed with many details and plot. THIS IS NOT A BAD NOVEL, I JUST DON'T LIKE IT BC I EXPECT TOO MUCH. Here are the pros and cons:

Pros:

  • Interesting idea besides all the regression novels we've been seeing. MC doesn't know everything and events.
  • The story pace is very good, not too slow, not too fast, relaxing moments still appear quite frequently.
  • MC is not OP, he is still one of the strongest of his age but many people around him can snap him like a mosquito.
Cons:

  • Power level is not clear. We can't really see how strong the characters are. Most of the time u will see how who is stronger by whether they saw an enemy attack or not. Destruction level is barely mentioned.
  • Fights are not clear and EXPEDITIOUS. 90% of the fight will end in 1/3 of the chapter and will not be described well. If you see sword fighting in real life it would be quite fast, and it is not bad when put into a novel, but the author really doesn't know how to describe swordsmanship. The character can slash 20-30 hits with ease in the blink of a second, and we do not know how they do it, or how strong the hit is, everything just happens.
  • Relationship is ok but the author tries to hint at a lot of things just for fun, the MC made a lot of girls blush and nothing happened, I don't like harem but this is just annoying af.
  • People live and die don't really make any sense. Many times someone could die but still be alive, and vice versa. Normally any character dies to mean something to the MC's journey, but here people just die and mean nothing, and most of them die while don't really have a proper relationship with MC. They die just bc the author wants them to die, and he doesn't have to care about their story anymore.
  • Details are s*upid

    In the sword festival people can die while they can be saved. They say it is a sacred festival and say people die bc they are too arrogant while doing challenges while just the academe have tool to save you from fatal injuries but the biggest festival of the continent doesn't.

Started off with the manwha and picking up the novel after.

I’d say the story has been great so far. The plot and the world building is good. Though, its main strength comes from the pacing and MC.

Pacing is very consistent with very little fillers and dragged out arcs. Rarely has the story had been boring due to pacing. With twists occurring on most arcs, keeping the viewers engaged.

The MC is refreshing as he’s not the bog-standard tropey main character with an overly kind nature and goes out of their way... more>> to help strangers, nor they’re an edgelord that hates everyone and everything.

Ronan has a good head over his shoulders and know where his priorities lie. He’s realistic and rational, but also friendly and outgoing. Very rarely he makes dumb nonsensical mistakes that you would often see for protagonists in this genre. <<less

Started with the manhwa and thought it was interesting. After getting to chapter 30 something there was someone in the comments who mentioned a novel and I got very excited to discover that it was way ahead. Definitely recommend giving this a read, if you want to dip your toes in check out the manhwa.

Highly recommended!

The best part about this novel is our beloved TL!

TL is funny, quirky and very active. Responds to comments left under the chapter under the translation. TL is also very jealous of the MC and thus playful banter is always present.

It's because out TL is very h**ny but we don't blame him due to the **personalities** a lot of characters have, for example the **fire pouches** of Lady Navardose which seems to be harboring her fire mana apparently. I don't know how that works, but yeah it's because of her mana. Most definitely. Undoubtedly!

MC is a regressor who has changed his beginnings which changes his whole future now and which is why he is not a know all which can be very annoying. Do keep in mind that he was a commoner mercenary but he is treated differently now which leads to new experiences.

Story is amazing. Plot twists, world building, a little bit of harem building too and not a cliche story.

Side characters are strong too but overshadowed by MC due to his ridiculous strength despite having a lot of setbacks. However, you can genuinely see their growth when you compare their current selves to their beginnings.

The setbacks are curses. An n amount of them. Also I don't know why but I feel like his curses interact with each other forming the tree of death I guess but I can't be sure because I don't know how many curses he has. I forgot. I apologize!

Overall, an amazing read. Highly recommended. You are not going to regret it.

P.S: You can also roast the TL if they made any errors in the translation. JK just let them know it's an error and they will try to improve it. We love our TL and we genuinely don't want them quitting! <<less

I’m really enjoying this novel. The characters, while being a bit overpowered, still feel pretty balanced against the forces they encounter. For a pretty serious in general story line it still has a lot of humour to balance everything out and keep you, as a reader, engaged. It does have a slight “Oblivious MC” feel but it’s more like a misunderstanding of the people involved rather than the standard “everybody loves him and he really doesn’t get it at all”. Also seems like MC is still learning about himself too.... more>> Over all a very good novel that I look forward to reading every release. <<less

Novel is interesting and makes you look forward to it as the story progresses.

Originally, he isn't a regressor, but someone else. He was given a chance (last one) to prevent the destruction of his world and to learn better as he didn't get a chance to do so. There's a lot more to look forward to, like his nth curses, his father's identity, and his powers that was sealed.
