Blegh. The summary seemed interesting but immediately from the first chapter you get slammed in the face with the same old dog drama from ancient times with a powerless weakened prince without support (but is secretly plotting) and his poor consort who got dragged into his miserable life, thus they now have to pave through the palace intricacies. Side characters are brainless antagonist who's only function is to add fuel because we wouldn't have a story without them right?

I couldn't tolerate reading more not because of the same tired old... more>> plot but because the writing is abhorrent with the style of an amateurish 16 year old wannabe author.

there are so many wonderful novels out there, why do translators love translating these type of half assed stories? <<less

LMAOOO I AM SHOCKED SOMEONE GIVE ONE STAR FOR THIS STORY! 🤣🤣🤣 First of all, I'm sure this story is good! I've read it and the storyline is interesting! MC is a great person in treating disease, you could say he is a genius doctor. ML too lololol he acts like a sickly weak man, but is actually NOT WEAK at all. ML is very cunning and he trick the MC and make the MC think he is 'bottom' even though the real ML is Gong who is cunning and poisonous.

ANYWAY... more>> THIS IS A GREAT STORY DON'T BE TRICKED WITH THAT BAD COMMENTS LOLOLOL. Even I thought like this: "Is she reading this with a bad mood or something?" XD

The beginning was full of dog blood drama but since the MC wasn't affected I was fine. Anyway, happy reading! <<less

the story is soooooooooooo good and one of my few favorite novel, , at first indeed there's drama, , but that just in the beginning, , , where there is a story without drama, where there is a story without problems, if the story is smooth, then the plot will be monotonous and make the story bland and not fun, , , Plus, the drama is only at the beginning, with the MC and ML being OP, what hardness can't be passed...

I even feel, that I'm now addicted to this... more>> story, I need this story to stay updated, but it's a shame, I don't know whatever happened, this story has remained on hiatus after a long time, , (TT----TT)... I've even searched for this novel in online bookstores, and found only incomplete book volumes... I'm so sad.... <<less

Too much drama. Drama can be good too, but this surely isnt. Its annoying that the ML and MC act all high and mighty when they are being stepped on like scum. Say what you want, only face slapping at the end is no fun at all. And I dont particularly like the MC & ML.

This story really has huge potential, but unfortunately because the author has a personal busy life, this story stops for about half a year before finally being finished in a range of 3 chapters.

Which ruined the whole story.

If not considering that most of this story have a very complex and well made plot, I will not even want to give three stars for the story.

Another thing that irritates me the most is the ending where MC become a bastard who makes ML sleep with other women... I'm really confused what... more>> the author really thinks??? why did she have to make a scene like that??? Was destroying all plots in the story is not enough that she had to write something like that to be cursed by all readers??? ☠️☠️☠️ <<less

Honestly one of the best novels I have read in my entire life (and I only have 5 primal survival instincts: eating, sleeping, working for money to buy novels, reading said novels... and reading some more novles).

It has intoxicating romance, intrigue, court politics, martial arts, medicine and we can't forget our beloved "transmigration" theme... the novel will absolutely blow you <in a good way ;) > away!

So trust me (you obviously don't know me, but this is how the persuasion styles goes, yeah?) and read this awesome book!

The plots and conflicts really intrigued me, hope the previous mysterious life of the MC will be revealed soon. Poison genius meets the medical genius, I really like this kind of power couple, even though they were forced to be married, their sweetness, and the way they look after each other is heart-melting. The villains in it aren't just cannon fodder, which makes the plots even better.

I liked this one, was a full 5 stars for me. (Yes, past tense). It really would have been better for it to stay not completed rather than the ending we got. That ending. Gods, that ending. I can't tell if it was fake or rushed. I'm leaning towards fake because if thats the ending the author had in mind and they just rushed it... *table flip*

So much potential and good storybuilding down the drain for nothing. If you decide to read this one, do yourself a favor and ignore... more>> the last 2 or 3 chapters. (If you're reading on Flying Lines like I am stop at 156) <<less

I love this novel, maybe the plot isn't so complex as other transmigration or historical books but I think is funny and refreshing, I'm really enjoying it so far, also the MC and ML are so sweet and protective with each other, they are in deed a pair made in haven.

So far its pretty amazing. I just picked it back up randomly after dropping it months ago and I’m so glad I picked it up. If your not one for so much eye twitching cliche drama and OP/death-defying MCs then it’s not for you. But if it is utterly satisfying to see antagonists and cannon fodders (and there are LOTS in this) being one upped and counter attacked then stick with it. Tbh this picked up in chapter 27 ish for me.

In the end, Li Hengyuan drugs Cheng Zheng with an aphrodisiac and lets him sleep with a woman to have an heir.

The author managed to tr*sh the entire development of the protagonists as a couple with the last chapter. Some may find it justifiable and understand that it was no big deal, but for me this is disrespectful to all the readers who followed their journey.

This novel is certainly not perfect, it has some tedious and repetitive parts, but I still managed to overlook that and continue reading. The author had taken a break for years and I would have preferred it to have continued like this permanently than to end the story with this bombshell. <<less

I wanted to read this, but only made it as far as the return from the maternal house after the wedding chapter, which is only a few chapters in.

Basically, the author doesn't want to put the work into building their relationship, so we just read them facing one danger right after another.

the MC transmigrates because the body was poisoned while being stuffed into the sedan chair. He's then attacked and whipped during the wedding by a jealous woman who wants to marry the ML. Then after he retires to his courtyard (separate from the Prince), an assassin tries to kill him. Then when they go to 'serve' the royal family after the wedding, the guard blocks the carriage and makes them take a four hour walk in the blistering sun to the empress's palace and the woman who whipped him earlier goads the empress to make MC kneel outside for four hours. The prince insists on accompanying MC and faints and almost dies. The emperor has some kind of plan where this prince can't be allowed to die YET, so the MC is allowed to save his life, and they're shipped back to the Prince's mansion afterwards... where the crowned prince shows up and tries to poison the porridge MC made for ML. Then comes the 'return to the maternal home' portion of the marriage, where the MC is originally blocked out of the house, then his father wants to whip him, and then on their way back from the prime mister's house, there are 'figures in black in an alley'.

I really had to give up on reading this story at that point. That's chapter 18, by the way.

What I want to say isn't that you can't have all of that happen! All of that happening is fine! But shouldn't it take 50 chapters to cover it all! It doesn't even matter that the MC's escapes from several of these disasters are awkward! As long as the MC and ML interact and build a close relationship of relying on one another!

As it is, obviously they'll rely on one another, but it won't feel intimate or romantic. How can I get excited and cheer for the ML to capture the MC like this?? That's just one more thing happening in a long line of things that just happen. <<less

Can't believe I searched high and low for this story, only for it to turn out to be so meh. I searched for so many days to find free understandable translation and in the end even tho I didn't find it, I just started MTLing. After so much effort, all my high hopes were dashed 〒_〒

The synopsis is interesting but the story so far is rather meh and bland. It honestly feels like something the author just wrote in passing not with much thought.

I want to read it. And then went to see how many chapters is it. And it's in hiatus/dropped status.

I just understand why nobody rec this.
