I'm so glad that the original ZCJ and TSS from the past was able to connect at some point and even have a 2nd chance by rebirth. It shocked me that the original ZCJ actually had feelings for her but she was already taken😢 good thing rebirth gave them another chance

even up until she got together with the original ML's father she was still continuously chasing after the original ML and making a fool of herself. Like, it's so obvious that the original ML hates her yet she keeps throwing herself at him and doing s*upid things which are really cringey. Even when she finally got together with the original ML's father it was purely by accident, not because she was chasing after him

after he took her first time (which technically counted as r*pe cos she was drugged and not in her right mind) he just left her alone in the bed without any note, any proper instructions to his servants, left her completely defenseless in a place where he knew everyone was out to get her and went to war leaving her pregnant and alone for months. Just imagine your v**ginity being taken (raped) while you were drugged, and then the next morning you wake up to an empty bed and the person who r*ped you didn't even leave any message for you and let his children abuse you. Yeah, very unbecoming of a ML.

Her ghost from the future went back to his past and their interaction was very sweet and short. If it was fleshed out into a real story I bet it would've been much better than the main one where most of the time she's a fool. At least in the end story she had already went through life once so she was much wiser and more mature but sadly it's just a short side story.

ML decided to marry her but did not even mention this to her or even given a hint. How she is supposed to know what does he wants to do when he does not say so ? She is an ordinary person not a mind reader. Every action she took was to lead her to her own success, although I don't approve her drug attempt. And then without explain her anything he changes his mind and decides not to marry. At that time I just wanted to smash his head

this story-FL (Tang ShiShi) actually annoys me up until she decided to give up on pursuing the OG ML, I mean, girll.. How many failed attempts and embarrassment does it need for you to realize, maybe stop trying to one up the OG-FL.

and also, TSS maybe is one of the most annoying character to be a FL ever, made me almost not want to finish reading. She’s vain, but that’s ok, because she is otherworldly gorgeous, I’m ok with that. But she just has to be selfish, and almost always throws insults at other people who didnt provoke her. In retrospective, I guess it was somewhat understandable, TSS is gorgeous, but lack the support from her family. Even if she’s arrogant because of her look, deep down she feels inferior due to her merchant background and always have to be sidelined by her half sister. She thinks she’s smart, but actually she’s not. It’s just people mistaking her as a flower vase, and thinks she’s an honest person.

This is where to me, the story ML (Jing Wang) has a big part. He makes her likable. He can see right through her every acts. But he still chose to indulge her whims. Jing Wang probably will be one of my fav ML ever.

I love their interaction, the way JW blatantly shows his special treatment to TSS (even though both TSS and JW are oblivious to it, certainly other people saw it) I mean the guy can curt his anger just by touching her fingers!

It is their slow progression that keeps me binging tbh. Tho the huge flaw of their relationship is the lack of COMMUNICATION! My God! TSS should stop overthinking stuff, and JW should stop thinking that TSS understand subtlety, the girl aint smart!

I kinda feel bad for the OG ML (Zhou Zixun), had JW made it obvious his intention to make his biological son the heir, maybe ZZX wont have such a bad ending (

Jing Wang did not question her about her side on the Empress Dowager and Tang Shishi did not clarify, however there's an unspoken tacit understanding between the two of them that Tang Shishi will not hurt Jing Wang.

it would have been more interesting if the entire story was written like the extra, but anyways.

Sure it gave her character in the beginning and middle, making her different from the other female servants sent to the Jing Wang Manor—however, there’s barely any character growth and she really is just a fox borrowing the tiger’s might. Her intelligence just stopped once she got together with the ML.

Not to mention that the book that she was reading that gave her an omniscient POV, soon became useless and she barely used it to help.

The first set is based on the MC and ML’s kids, and the second set of extras is basically a short story showing some more about the end of the original bad timeline, and then another alternate timeline entirely.
