The first is the Demigods arc. The story seems rushed, but taking into account there may be several seasons to come, you can ignore it, and treat season one simply as a prologue. Now 3 things: First: There is no harem Only a few friends that readers wished were love interests. And there's no romance. Second: It's good? It's ok... it's not bad, and it's not tr*sh. It's not good because the characters and the plot are dumb. Like, they are not dumb because they do s*upid things, they are dumb because the author is dumb, and this reflects on them. Third: Is it worth reading? I suppose so... It doesn't have something fatal that usually ruins a story, it's just that, the author is not smart to extract a good content from the story. But it's not a tr*sh story, so I suppose it's a good read to pass the time. In short, it's a good story with a dumb author. ... Now going deeper. There are many things that ended up leaving me dissatisfied with the story.
The first was Beniang's death.
I mean, how long does it take for a person to die after their heart explodes?
Beniang's death was only the most impactful of the many times that Frey left his companions to do his things without worrying about the danger they might be facing. This scene only showed more of how dumb Frey and the author are.
They were facing an apocalypse, one of the most powerful demigods before the Lord, and the moment he arrives... is when Beniang was at her last moments after her heart exploded.
Then you ask! What was he doing before that?
Nothing!
He knew that his companions were facing a powerful enemy that they could not defeat, because HE was the one who told them to face him, and meanwhile he was taking his time, only to remember to go help them in her last moments.
You can make some reasonable explanations based on the plot of why he did this, but for me it's just dumb.
The second was the final battle, between Lord, Lucifer and Frey.
I just can't put, in one post, how dumb frey and all the characters involved looked in that battle.
My god!!!!!!
How Frey is dumb when he's preparing for the battle!
How the dialogue between Lord, Lucifer and Frey is dumb when they meet!
How each of them is dumb when they are showing their cards!
Frey and Beelzebub (Hell's greatest schemer) preparing for the battle is the dumbest thing I've ever read. To tell you the truth, you can say Frey doesn't even prepare anything, even though he is the weakest of the 3, even though the other 2 had prepared for a veeeeery long time for the battle.
The dialogue between the 3 then, what a dumb shit.
For some reason, their exchanges looked like a single character talking to himself. What a weird sh*t their conversation.
And the battle then?! What battle? I don't even know how to start. I'll just leave it while I say "how pathetic Lucifer is." My God!!!
Just dumb, dumb, dumb, d...
And poor Iris Phisfounder,
In the end, Lukas leaves her again, and he still asks her to wait for him, for I don't know how many thousands or even millions of years, after all that she went through for him.
Poor Iris, poor Iris...
From the beginning to the end, it seems that everything is in her hands, that she is the mastermind of everything that is happening... When in fact, all she did was release Lukas at the beginning of the story.
All the potential and mystery built up for her from the beginning till the end of the story about her being a great schemer was simply discarded, and it turned out that the only thing she did was free Lukas, while serving Lord and Lucifer in their plans at the same time.
- I like teacher like MCs.
- The world seems interesting.
- The harem doesn't look like it will be "on your face", which is a kind I like.
ConThe english translation is fan translated and can be read at woopread. Com. There are two seasons. The review is going be about season 1 of the book. Caution: If you are a fan of the fantasy genre where magic, elves, gods, demons are aplenty, then this book is for you!
Season 1 is about 239 chapters which is decently big without lot of repeated plot. So no fluff, action packed, emotion packed whirlwind tour. Once you pick up the book, you better keep an eye on the watch, otherwise you might end up skipping your meals, and forget to sleep. A brief summary of the plotline:
Semi God-like beings (called Demigods) want to rule humans and the 'Continent'. Humanity's power is like ants in front of these supreme beings. Except, humanity knows magic, and those who use magic are called wizards. Wizards powers are divided into 'stars'. Starting from the weakest, 1 star to the most powerful wizards humanity can produce are 9 stars. But even the strongest of Humanity's wizards can't guarantee a victory against the weakest of the Demigods.
Lucas Trowmen is a 9-star mage, a genius wizard, visionary of his time. He has brought together the different races, countries in a firm belief that Demigods can be defeated. He and his friends are putting up a fight against demigods, doing the unbelievable, slowly 1 at a time, defeating the Demigods. But then the unthinkable (or is it expected?) happened. The ruler of the Demigods, Lord defeats Lucas Trowmen all too easily. The amazing 9-star power of Lucas is nothing in front of the rule of the Demigods. Lord decides, just defeating Lucas isn't enough. Killing him will be too easy. Instead of locking him away for an eternity of solitude in a locked away dimension. A solitary prison one of its kind. 4000 years later, Lucas is able to break away from this prison and return - but the world has changed. Could he get his revenge? He has lost everything, could he gain all the power back in this more 'modern' current world? When he was at his strongest he couldn't even touch the hair of Lord, will history repeat for him again? Review: This entire novel is a thrill ride. Loved every moment of it. Lucas and his interpersonal relationships with his friends from 4000 years back, as well as the new friends he makes in the 'current' world, is heartwarming. The author does a pretty good job of exploring the human side of the characters in the novel. It's not only an action novel, it's a novel about commitment, promises, never giving up, failing, falling down and getting back up, not forgetting your roots. I can't wait to pick up season 2. My rating 10/10. Heaveho!
