A good transmigration novel, and a good pastime too. The narration is nice, not too much dog blood or drama, and the relationship is rather cute. The only thing I have a problem about is probably how ML treats his child. Otherwise, it's awesome.

A nice light story with full of fluffiness but balanced with plot of vengeance. It's just right and the plot is reasonable. The author did good at storytelling in which not to excessive on details but just right.

I found Song Song's (MC) characteristics a bit dull but his character development is steady especially his feelings towards the ML. Li Xiao (ML), my favorite character here, is very childish, crazy and loves to pamper MC to the bone. Both minds think alike so there's no misunderstanding. Supporting characters are also well... more>> written, villains' plots are nicely done and quite reasonable, my favorite from the supporting characters is Ji Ying (The doctor), because he's the only funny person on the story.

All in all, I totally recommend this novel. <<less

It's definitely a good read if you like BL, second chance and palace intrigue. The characters are all likeable and the antagonist are portrayed well, they didn't feel just like a character that's made for face slapping only.

The protagonist and ML also have good relationship development, both of them are clever and actually have hearts, not all domineering and mindlessly take revenge on anyone who slighted them, it's refreshing.

This is my kind of story!!! Just a short lighthearted revenge story. But tbh the last few chapters are a bit weak.

Usually these kind of ancient china novels have too many misunderstandings and/or miscommunications, thank god this one doesn't.

A short, feel gud, sweet read. The reason for the low rating is bcos I think the story was so so. Since I've read many other more interesting stories I cant help comparing. All in all I recommend this novel because it's still cute.

To be totally honest, this book was indeed a little too cheesy and cringeworthy. In fact, it was even a bit ridiculous at times.

But then I noticed that every time the MC was happy, I smiled... every time the MC was sad, I was sad.... every time the story got intense, I got anxious and when something exciting happened, I squealed. If that's not what you call a well-written book, I don't know what is.

The ML and MC are both very concrete characters and are likable. The ML is someone... more>> who is very imperfect yet perfect. There isn't much in terms of character development in the plot. But if you are someone who has been bingeing a lot of intense drama or books lately, then this can be considered a breath of fresh air.

You won't be missing out on much if you have decided not to read it, but it is definitely worth a shot. <<less

I just read fluff
I haven't finished the story yet, but I had to stop to review it, this is a brilliant read, a must read, it's lovely story of revenge and fluff, since both characters are reborn there is little misunderstandings between them and the story progresses quite fast. And I love the translation, thank you translator-sama, you did a great job!

I feel like the MC stops being MC in the middle of the story, and change into ML as the MC.

The lack of detail for the support characters such as ML brothers after the big showdown is disappointing. And how all the hope of a nation place in one small child is too much and not rly doable.

But this novel is very good, and I would say yes to re-read it again, why I put it in my satisfied list.

I really loved it. The ML was seriously precious and MC was great too. And I really loved the idea of a mad king. It was also pretty fast and the romance was lovely too. Heartfelt thanks to the translators.

Overall, fluffy without crazy drama.

The relationship between the MC and ML was cute and heartwarming. The ML pampers the MC a lot but also respects him. The MC isn't a pushover and takes charge when needed to. There was enough conflict to propel the story forward but it didn't take the ansty/tragedy route. Also, the mpreg and transmigration is handled well without and loose ends.

Ahh, this pair of conniving husbands are so darn cute!! Their interactions are adorable and very natural. Unlike novels where everything is sunshine and happiness all the time, this couple has realistic interactions.

Spoiler

For instance, when ML tricked MC after the birth of their child, MC started a cold war for a month. He thought that MC was too gentle and easy-going but when when MC was really mad, he went full scorched earth, haha.

The plot was easy to follow but still intriguing. This is a very satisfying double rebirth revenge novel and everyone gets their retribution in the end. It's pretty short, but there's decent closure so the reader doesn't feel they're left hanging.

Spoiler

Real funny how at the end when MC and ML realize their son isn't a perfect angel, they wonder if it's not too late to have another one.

5/5 for me in terms of both plot and characters. It’s not perfect, it’s got its cliches, but for a C-Novel, it was extremely good. The translation efforts were also amazing and I humbly thank the translator for all their hard work.

The thing I loved the most about this story is the romance. The ML is pampering and doting, but also extremely protective. I love that the MC slowly but surely opened up to him and learned to trust him. I think at first I was frustrated that he was... more>> slow to open up, but considering his past and what he thinks he knows of his husband, it was better for him to be cautious. Once everything was laid bare, their relationship became extremely equal.

Some spoiler stuff about why I really liked this novel:

Spoiler

One thing I caught myself thinking was that I was frustrated that the MC at first only wanted to use the ML to have his baby/be the golden thigh he could hug. I felt bad for the ML since he so sincerely loved the MC and clearly just wanted to spook him... but as I thought about it more, I realized that the ML is in turn “using” the MC. The MC is the only person who can prevent the ML from going berserk during his episodes. ML’s past life was marred by his bouts of madness, so in this life, he has to have the MC with him at all times to ensure that his episodes don’t ruin his efforts to change the future. So in the end, it was a mutually beneficial relationship.

I really liked at the end that ML and MC were able to discuss reality vs expectations of their relationship. ML really wants the MC to act spoiled and unreasonable because he believes that would prove the MC believes ML loves him unconditionally. However. MC can’t do that because he has directly seen how unreasonable jealousy is disastrous (his step mom).

I was happy that he was able to point out to ML that he didn’t know what the ML wanted, since the ML was still unhappy when he finally threw a fit (which, honestly, he had to right to, ML f*cked up majorly). I was also glad that the ML was able to admit that he had a deep insecurity that he wasn’t sure how to assuage and that was on him, not the MC. I think they were able to affirm their relationship and find security through this.

The two parts I did not like was that the ML pretended he hadn’t recovered after MC gave birth and he lost the ability to speak or hear. The MC was understandably horrifically panicked. He’d just given birth and now his husband, the ruler of the kingdom, might have slipped into true insanity... it’s not something that should be joked about to fakes. I was furious the ML let him think he really was beyond hope. I’m glad the MC truly got angry. I wish the ML had reflected more on his action though.

I also felt bad for their son. I mean of course he is loved by MC, but I really hate those stories where the ML competes with the child for the MC’s love. Luckily this was minor and at the very end.

Overall a very satisfying read. I will be reading it again. <<less

Very enjoyable read with plenty of twists and turns, not to mention tearjerking moments. Personally I would have liked to see a little more steam and heat.

World of martial arts, cruelty of people and those pure hearts fighting for happiness they deserve.

I won't describe deeply, just recommend. :D

the novel is an absolute worth it, you might annoyed at times due to the repetitive self pity of the MC but somehow it would pass as you get into the whole story back story of the reincarnation.

very cute and straightforward fluffy romance. I actually liked the revenge plot better to be honest but MC and ML’s interactions are pretty sweet. it isn’t fully explained (imo, at least) why MC has the ability to be ML’s cure and the insta-love is a bit too... insta. however, it is easy to read and fairly captivating. thank you so much to the translator for their hard work!!

Usually I'm wary of mpreg because the men tend to get more feminized than the usual standard for BL and I seriously question whether I'm reading BG instead.

This one was all right, especially since the mpreg happened later in the story and didn't take focus away from the main characters and plots. Plus, despite this being ancient times, the MC still ran around despite the pregnancy and set up pits/plots for enemies to jump in, so kudos for that.

Overall, a fluffy entertainment read with a dash of comedy. The author... more>> is a bit absentminded, so don't expect any great feats of fiction here. But it's good if you like second chance/rebirth stories where the MC's fate is completely turned around (and you don't have to wait 400 chapters for it to happen).

I'm a sucker for multiple rebirth type stories and reunion after separation, so this was my jam.

Spoiler

Both MC and ML are reborn and tentatively tell each other about it through prefacing their first life as a "dream."
