???/5!!! [6/10 RR] Promising... but the MTL, while not the worst, is a bit difficult for me. I just have a difficult time focusing on it, and I keep getting lost, until, after a while, I notice that I haven't been paying attention to what I was reading XD. Maybe it's the content too? I find it interesting, but it's kinda very inclusive. Once you miss one thing, you miss everything. And there's all sorts of things going on. The MC's cheats are very... unique! And, because of this, there are tons of explanations (which is very hard to completely piece together in MTL T.T). ANYWAY SO -- I think I didn't give this a... more>> fair shot. So I've decided that, even though I've read more than half of the story, I won't be rating it. I'll just come back to reread when the TL is further along.

SUMMARY: The MC, Yu Qunqing, died after being used to the fullest extent by someone he thought of as a friend as well as his brother. The next thing he knew, he woke up to the time when the apocalypse had just begun. Well, it's been at least three months. The world has already mostly gone to hell. There are various "disasters" (which is what the monsters of this novel are called) running around, and he's all alone in the apartment he had bought before the apocalypse began. In the previous life, he would have headed to the shelter and met up with his family and his brother. Later, because of his strong abilities, he was touted as the most powerful ability user by the base and was given priority on things like experimental evolution liquids. He was also forced into a team with other ability users to become the fighting force of the base.

All of this, he took in stride. His personality became somewhat skewed. But he worked hard. Until ... well, he died. The MC after rebirth knows all of this, but there are severe gaps in his memories. So he can only work with what he's got. He intends to find all of his allies in the previous life. All while upgrading his community with the help of a system (the system is his ability, in a way. It forces him to play various mobile phone games to earn stars -- which he can use to buy upgrades for infrastructure). There are some conflicts along the way, of course, not just with Disasters but also with humans from other bases. But the main focus seems to be upgrading. <<less

At least, the MC and... more>> ML dynamics are interesting if a bit simple (it's a short story, so simple is to be expected, I suppose).__________SUMMARY — The MC is a moneygrubber that ended up being struck by lightning. After which, he was teleported into the bathtub of a certain villainous boss (AKA the ML). It's a bit difficult to explain, since the author skipped a lot of explanations. But the basic gist is that the MC ended up in a novel. His new identity is the real son of the fallen Xia family — with his fake brother being the protagonist shou of the original novel. In said novel, he's supposed to run away from a marriage set up with the villanous boss and then get his lunch box as all cannon fodders do. But things don't go how he expected it to.First of all, the villainous boss actively sought out the engagement with the original owner. Second, they met beforehand in a bathtub lol. Though that meeting was fast and they didn't really communicate. Third, the ML seems to be hiding something — somehow, he knows the MC??? Anyway, all this combine into a messy engagement. The two begin to live together from then on. And all sorts of shenanigans ensue. <<less

???/5!!!!! [RR: 7.5/10] I actually like this novel quite a bit. But because I'm not in the mood for this kind of slow-paced, infrastructure novel, I ended up losing interest T.T This novel is very chill, there's a bit of mystery in the background to keep the tension high but the conflicts are minimal and usually very simply resolved so the reading experience feels very laidback. It's worth reading because of the attention to detail when it comes to setting up the world — which seems to come alive under the author's renditioning ~ It's true that it's a bit slow, it feels like very little has actually happened. But it gives you the chance... more>> to know the characters, all of whom are unique and lively!

What I was most surprised about when reading was the premise. I actually didn't read the summary clearly before starting XD (hence why I ended up gettinginto it with wrong expectations). It's very interesting!

SUMMARY — The MC is a socially inept gamer who has locked himself up in an apartment for three years. He rarely goes outside and hasn't made true contact with any people since he shut himself in. All of his food and necessities are delivered straight to his door, and even when he posts his gaming content online for his audience, he doesn't actually interact with them. So yeh. All in all, he's a complete hermit.

The story begins after an unusual bug appears in his favorite infrastructure game. This game was stand-alone at first but had recently been updated to be an online game with a virtual reality pod. He can go into the game himself as the "Creator" of the territory. Of course, because of his social fear and his thinking that everyone around is an NPC, he doesn't really interact with people much on the game side either. Dealing with the bug NPC that suddenly walked into his territory seemed to be his first real direct encounter. And this encounter ended up opening up a whole can of worms.

He found out that the game he was playing was not actually a simple infrastructure game. There's a world beyond his territory where people were suffering from the invasion of alien species that parasitized everything (from humans, to plants, to animals, and even minerals and other non-living things used by people). Now that the bug has been introduced into his territory, the storyline of the outside world has officially opened.

Perhaps the MC could have proceeded onwards like before. Working as the Creator that controlled everything beyond the screen, but as the MC got to know more and more of the NPCs of the game, he began to rely on them unknowingly. And, together, they work tirelessly to explore and conquer the territories outside.

(As for the ML, my guess is that he's the "Holy Lord". He seems to have a connection with the MC's world — not just through the game world. But the details have yet to be revealed.) <<less
