Fang Jing Zai is a bit of an idiot with a kind of feud with Feng Ruo Chen. Fang is constantly being compared to Feng and told he is worthless. Fang also seems to have the bad luck of being spurned by everyone he's interested in because they want Feng.

One drunken night at a bordello after being turned down by one such male prostitute fan of Feng's, Fang mistakenly forces himself upon Feng... who then routs a contract out of Fang to have his body for three nights in turn.... more>> Either that or a debt of a million. Hence the title.

Thus, a bit of a cat and mouse goes on.

Personally, I think Feng has been after Fang's ass for years and has been concocting all these 'feudish' events in order to push Fang into a trap.

Feng is a sad*st to Fang... and Fang is a bit of an idiotic unknowingly masochist who keeps shooting himself in the foot and falling right into Feng's devious traps.

Pretty cute. It was hard to understand what was going on at some times because of ths poor translation quality, but it was still a fairly adequate read (bonus points for being short too --- dragging on would have ruined it).

Oh, and just a heads-up: they're a reversi couple (they switch top/bottom roles).

Pretty good story, had a lot of potential. Unfortunately, translation needs a lot of work; gave me a headache to muddle through it. This was written as a romcom, but a lot of the humor is lost by the translation.

MC and ML are wealthy young masters, though the MC, because he is the second son, is extremely frivolous and spoiled and generally doesn't know anything except playing with prostit**es all day long. However, he's very resentful of being compared to the ML, who is an all-around excellent gentleman and admired... more>> by everyone in the city.

I recommend if you like childhood friends/rivals & non-typical ML (THEY SWITCH POSITIONS). I love a good enemies-to-lovers trope. <<less

It had a solid funny start then it kind of went downhill towards the end for me. It held a lot of promise with the reversible tag but at the end it kind of felt like ... more>>

MC became a typical puppy seme and ML was the pretty uke type. At the beginning MC was like the tsundere uke and then it was like a 180 flip at the end, it kind of threw me off.

Also what I didn't particularly like was how

towards the end when everything went downhill in terms of sh*t hitting the fan plot wise, MC seems to be the punching bag. Like how everything was his fault. How everyone did everything for him and he was the ungrateful brat and how everyone curse him (exhibit A being that guy from the prostitution house? Who was all like "you don't deserve ML", haiz I don't like these kind of lines). But really it's just poor communication and I kind of feel really bad for him.

Well, it's cute.

The plot's okay but nothing too admirable. The transation made work hard to understand what I was reading, but I really apreciate the translator's effort!

What I definitely liked is that they are a reversible couple, it's not that common among bl novels. Their interactions were cute and I liked their personalities, too, even though the MC, Fang JingZai, caused a lot of trouble because he couldn't keep himself in order. The ML, Feng RouChen is adorable overall.

Overall: 3.5 of 5

First of, even though the translation could use some QA, but it was a one man team and the translator did her best, so I appreciate the effort. There are lots of grammar issues and some humors got lost during translation, but the story point still got across so that is good.

Despite the translation flaws, I did managed to get some of the humor and able to laugh at it.

We have a reversible couple. Their relationship... may not be the best as it starts out with blackmail... more>> and the bed manner can only be describe as rough.

Plot is decent. It is an interesting theme of tea and wine. I was able to feel the love emotions, but author never really goes into detail why ML is attracted to MC. I wondered that too.

Overall, it's a decent story. Give it at least a try if you have nothing else to read. <<less

Awesome story! Very funny most times and is quite a good read. I'm glad I was able to read it and I really enjoyed it. It may be a lot simpler than other stories but it was really a good read and made me want to reread it! (&Gt;w<) /

A good read to pass the time, overall it has light feels, some fluff, angst, misunderstandings, though near the end it does add up and gets a bit more intense, though it gets resolved afterwards. I love the MC and ML, they make a great couple. Enjoyed their interactions and how it played out in the end.

I really liked the characters, world, and plot. Sad to see nobody mention that. It was very cool to hear about the family business stuff, in my opinion. And, it's funny. Unless you construe it as r*pe which is not funny

ML pretending to be a put-upon gentleman was fun, we don't see that enough compared to the lustful beast true self. I respect his playing the long game.

The character development was pretty abrupt but I liked the idea of them having personality arcs.

Wish there was more lube. But that's a... more>> big personal pet peeve of mine.

MC was arrogant but goofy, emotionally an open book and bold. The reserved and loss-averse ML admiring that about him was very nice and sweet I thought.

Would love to see this story revisited (and retranslated) ! <<less
