The QT itself was quite nice, I would hava liked more interactions between YN and professor in their real domains but we don't get that.

However there are quite a few things that really bothered me. First was ShuYu's background story in the 1st Arc. That was too much brutal, being miserable in all 3 lives, like the author could have made him indifferent to the schemes in one life or for him to develop independently of the setting but just bcz Anlan needed a subject for a deal seems to... more>> me not good enough of a reason for his sufferings.

Yuecheng could have been given psychological sufferings or such but why did it have to marking/r*pe by a person your parent's age. XY is one of the most abominable villains I have read in my QT novel journey.

Lastly, I loved our mischievous Incubus, him slowly realizing that how love can reflect itself in various identities and granting others many decades of life to live it with their beloved was no doubt sweet and something that I rarely find in web novels.

To conclude, if the SA wasn't a recurring theme, this would have been a solid 5/5. <<less

1. This deals with some heavy topics

2. It’s hard to distinguish which is a subplot, the romance or the supposed actual plot (victim’s life)

3. This author is a big fan of using r*pe as a plot device and they’re really strange about it. They seem to think it’s bad but their very first antagonist was a r*pe victim. Instead of a revenge story to get him justice, they wrote him so that he would make someone else take his place and in the end he most likely was also... more>> r*ped again then tortured when taken by one of his same rapists in his first life. Then, the next victim and our little incubus’ next client is also yet another r*pe victim and again, he doesn’t get any sort of justice and isn’t realistically written as traumatized or anything. They don’t know how to use r*pe in writing at all. I can guess their intention but their execution is always poor and the way they see r*pe is straight up disgusting. I feel like they thought of the worst thing that could happen to someone then never thought of how that would affect them as a person because they just needed one tragic thing done to the victims and stopped there. If you’re going to write about a heavy and touchy subject as an artist, you have the obligation to do it right and do it well or you’ll be insensitive to people affected by it.

I cannot sympathize with SY putting LAL through the same thing he did but I also think SY still did not deserve to get r*ped and I can really only blame the author for writing him that way. Not to mention, it’s not realistic for a r*pe victim to push it onto someone else. They would definitely run away and/or shut down due to trauma but plot a whole revenge plot on someone who wasn’t even remotely involved in his r*pe is just offensive to r*pe victims and pretty much, bad writing.

JC is our mc’s next client. Again, another r*pe victim. This time his daughter which he got from his r*pe also becomes a r*pe victim! Wow! Uncreative and unoriginal. Still terrible handling of r*pe in the story.

it’s just not interesting enough to keep my attention. The romance is also subpar and the MC and ML get little room to really explore their romance. The author just lost me the moment I felt the handling of r*pe disrespectful here. <<less

This novel is pretty great!

It's short and sweet and the translation is good.

MC and ML are intelligent, a bit shameless in different ways and OP.

If you enjoy power couples, QT and OP characters, definitely read this.

This short qt novel is great, absolutely ignore the low rating if you're just looking for a fun qt (though read the tags). Many people rate poorly just because this has yaoi, or has traumatic incidents occurring to characters in the original arc, or involves multiple plotlines (the overarching love between the demon and the angel, the original plot, and the demon-corrected plot).

There's only 3 arcs, but somehow that's the right amount. Each arc shows growth in the Mc's views towards love. There isn't a final "real world" finishing arc,... more>> which is a bit of a shame, but I guess better to skip that than not do it justice. I hate when qt novels degrade into just pampering with very little plot, which this novel avoids by not having many arcs. The last arc, the MC was starting to rely on the ML a bit too much, which made it a very good point to end. Too many arcs in that style quickly becomes boring.

A lot of the original plots are quite grim - I like how the author plays with revealing the original plot little-by-little. This makes the arcs super engaging as the reader has to try and figure out what happened originally to cause such a bad outcome. I thought the plots were all quite interesting and original. The characters are lovely - I found myself rooting for the secondary MC in every arc.

I usually try to find morals in novels in reading, but this novel was so short, and such pure entertainment. If I were to come up with something, it's that we don't need to be constrained by our "role" in life. Sometimes, even an incubus can love, even an archangel can act devilish in pursuit of his love, and even an omega can get fed up with his omega restrictions and become a beta. There are plenty that follow the norm, but no need to restrict yourself if you realize they aren't suitable for you. No need to break them of course (life is usually set up for the average person, so more convenient for those following the norm), but no need to treat them as sacred. <<less

I second earlydiaries's review of this novel. The way this author writes s*xual abuse is disgusting and full of victim blaming. The characters who are abused are described as weak for having been abused. The novel almost seems angry that the victims never did anything against their abusers. And there just seems to be a deep disgust for people who have experienced s*xual abuse/trauma.

I enjoyed the read, but the cruelty of the crimes threw me off in each arc. First arc was the most fleshed out and I feel like the last two were rushed tbh. Ending was a bit abrupt but it was nice to see the gradual progression of MC’s character and his relationship with ML. MC was softhearted on with his hosts and the part I enjoyed most was that there was an aftermath/ending to each arc rather than an abrupt beginning of a new one.

This novel really a good read. It’s actually a very light reading, even the grievance are abit tragic, (read the tag) overall the ending were good. This qt very short, only got 3 arcs. The demon succubus actually quite cute and our ML arc angle fell in love at 1st sight. So each arc were like wife chasing trails for ML (Because MC just eat and dash. Lol) and MC to realise even a demon have a heart. It’s a fast read without much complicated stuff, just goes with... more>> the flow and don’t think too much. A short fun QT. I really liked the MC. There's some horrible crimes done by humans and MC helps the victims as part of their pact. I wish we got more worlds but I'm still happy I got to read this. Felt more like a prequel to a bigger QT novel. Wish we got detailed smut lol

this story has totally 3 arcs. The side characters from every arc is very interesting. All arcs had a dark theme but personally I felt the first two arcs were a bit triggering, not that the third one wasn't, but the third one felt short and focused one our main characters for me, I don't know why.

as a few fellow reviews stated and the tags, the story has s*xual abuse and r*pe. The revenge was not 10/10, in fact there was hardly revenge.

overall, I did have a good time reading... more>> the novel. <<less

Arcs 1 and 2 feels so-so to me.

Arc 3 was pretty enjoyable for me because the MC’s character there is totally my dig.

It’s an okay read if you want something to past the time. It doesn’t really have much going and there’s some plot holes but yeah
