As the translator, I do have a favorable opinion since I wouldn't have translated it otherwise.

There's actually three things going on in this collection. Shorts/extras for Warm Place (not the same extras posted under Warm Place), shorts/extras for Heroine Life, and a pretty long spinoff story of Warm Place. The first two require reading the main stories since the characters aren't reintroduced and most of them take place after the main stories.

As for the spinoff, it is readable as a standalone since most of the major characters are newly introduced... more>> and even returning ones are re-introduced, though some of the callbacks to Warm Place will spoil some major plot points if you read the spinoff first. The summary here on novelupdates is referring to the spinoff.

Personally, I think the way the author organized this collection probably wasn't ideal. I think it probably would have made more sense to put the additional Warm Place extras under Warm Place, the Heroine Life extras under Heroine Life, and just have the spinoff as a separate thing with an actual title. Organizing it like this makes the spinoff seem like an afterthought, but it's a great story and I highly recommend that people give it a chance.

Originally I decided to read this for the shorts/extras, but I think the spinoff is actually what shines the most. The protagonist is bold, pe*verted, and proactive. Despite her flirtatious nature, her attempts at flirting are half-hearted since she's not seriously interested in a relationship early on. Her personality was completely different in her past life but due to not having any fond memories of her past life and growing up in a different environment, her personality becomes completely different in her second life.

The author put a lot of thought into raising some questions early on, giving some hints throughout, before finally revealing the answer. It takes quite a few chapters before fully grasping the personality of the characters and the situation, but the way the author slowly reveals the full story kept me at the edge of my seat and kept me reading.

The spinoff may seem like an afterthought the way it's arranged (first impression I got), but it's actually a great story and I recommend everyone give it a chance. <<less

The side stories? Pretty fun, enjoyable. The spin off? Incredible, mandatory reading for any fan of Warm Place. Seriously, don't miss out.
