3rd book in Yuan Yuan’s series 老梗也是梗系列之(AKA We were supposed to have died in a plane crash, instead we transmigrated). The stories consist of three modern settings and three historical.

This was simply a live-action dog blood TV drama!

She did not die from the plane crash, but transmigrated into an ancient woman disguised as the worst black sheep of a man.

She also had an elder brother who wasn’t related to her by blood…

Her innate anti-evil sensor told her that this ice-cold man was very dangerous.

She had to be very careful or she would be seen through.

But how could she imagine that ice cold man was not only watching her, but peeked at her taking a bath.

She is not only exposed as a woman, but also everything was seen!

This ancient man was really responsible and wanted to marry her?!

Mother! How could she escape now?

Caught in a spiral of bad luck and getting ‘punished’ by the ice man.

But, they are nominally brothers!

Besides he also had a fiance so she must hold on to her heart.

It was already miserable enough transmigrating to ancient times, but why would she want to be a third wheel…

I don't like ML. I wish FL would have, after waking up, left the house, explored, ditched that crazy Pei family, find a new ML, and go be a badass somewhere else. She has money and as a young master of the family, she can do a lot by herself that a female transmigrator is not restricted to.

ML is an @hole. I actually wouldn't recommend.

Not too terribly deep. A case of transmigration into a crossdressing black sheep. It's mostly about Stockholm syndrome, but entertaining in it's non-explicit smut way. It's good for a quick read about a heroine who only wants to run away and a ML that selfishly tortures her body everyday to find her secrets against her wishes. Typical pirate plotline.

It personally wasn't an amazing or deep novel. The love between the two main characters also wasn't convincing. Would have given the story 2 stars, but the translator's hilarious comments throughout brought it up to 3 for ne.

This one is much worse than the prequel- Dark Empress. The ML in this novel.... well, the only thing good about him is that he is rich, handsome, and knows martial arts. And he would be my dream guy, except that he was of showing affection is to rape his step sister, imprison her, intimidate her, make her scared for her life, and control everything about her. Why the MC fell for this guy.... I don't know. But come on. Consent is important. Like, sometimes the MC is all like... more>> all coy and stuff, 'oh noes don't touch me but actually really touch meeee, ' and she give implicit consent before they do the pa pa pa, and I totally accept that. I don't need them to sign a contract on consent before they do it. I just want both of them to be willing participants, that's all. Except in this case, I can really feel how one person is really, well, not that into it. And I can understand to. How wants their step brother to come to their room every night and torture them with their kinky BDSM sh*t. And this fart head ML wonders why the MC trys to escape?? And after reuniting after a year, the fist thing he does it go into her room to forcefully rape her. Nice move you d*ck. I just don't understand how the MC love for this guy? But besides her lapse of judgement with choosing a significant other, I think she's a pretty ok person. Pretty weak though. Not my type of MC. ML is a douche. Alt ending: MC realises that she has been raped, becomes stronger, opens up like, a business and becomes super rich. People realise that ML is a rapist douche and then they castrate him so he can no longer torment any women, then tied up like a dumpling and thrown into the river. The end. <<less

My real star rating is only three, but I accidentally clicked four.

The story has a very yandere ML.

The most cold hearted based on the novels I have read so far.

This is definitely a case of Stockholm Syndrome

Spoiler

One time the MC thought to herself and said how she feared his obsession and evil ways but becomes attached when he shows her some gentleness

[collapse]

Not mucj explanations really everything felt like it was solved for convenience.

Spoiler

Like how Song Die married Qin Yaotang's second brother, but it was never mentioned he had another second brother. MC was the only second brother mentioned. How the MC planned the robbery was not explained thoroughly. It was straight to the robbery scene and suddenly MC just states that she planned it awhile ago and everything to get away because he treats Die'er better. Though she only really saw that when she was in the carriage with them just right before the fake robbery.

[collapse]

Spoiler

There is also the last twist where the real owner of the body came back, because she got injured and made her vulnerable so when ML met her again the real owner of the body came back and tried to fight for the body. Obviously MC won and got married to ML saying she was full of grief and happiness. Definitely Stockholm Syndrome

[collapse]

A novel to pass time.

Definitely has rape so you should be prepared. <<less

Dark Empress is better, but this is quite good too.

I like the possessiveness of ML. Though, I dont like him using dier as a means to test MC (I mean you've never told MC how much you like her and you want her to show you how much she likes you, I mean come on! That's low bro)

Then a 2nd bro pops up out of no where to make it feasible for dier to break off/erased supposed engagement with ML (which by the way seems like the transmigrated bro of weiwei (•ω•))

Translation is smooth and very easy to read. Story after the first smut is meh (smut scenes are abit rapey at this point. Its hot, but its rapey). There's a plot twist by the end where MC and Original soul are fighting.

I like this one, because of how we can relate to the FL. She was not confident in herself, and also did not want a man to help her with her confidence. She wants to do things for herself and does not want to the help of a man. Although in the end she ends up wanting the guy, I feel their relationship was abrupt. Overall, I enjoyed it. Was funny and had some hot scenes. Thanks for the read.

Short but nice, in a reading sense type of way.

I'm not a big fan of rough encounters but considering both the leads were somewhat silly and vague with their feelings, I can forgive this one. The story did not feel rushed, although it only had 10 chapters. The flow was smooth and engaging. Would be reading the others from this series to see if they would all hit mark like this one and the first book.",)
