The only strange thing was that every now and then, he would have a lucid dream of floating above a blue sea.
But one day, Aaron wished that the sun would redden. And so it did!
This was the start of his adventure as an otherworldly Evil God.

1. It's a transmigration story where the MC is takes over a dying aristocrat who was originally a loser.
2. It has a dream world where the MC can take knowledge from the dream world and bring it to the real world.
3. It has a lot of horror elements from other stories like Lord of Mysteries.
In summary:
It starts off like many other stories where the Main Character transmigrates into a dying aristocrat. He beats up all his rivals, creates a kingdom, stuns people with his smarts, and uses powers and mystical knowledge he gets from dream-walking to overpower his enemies.
Then it time-skips, where the MC goes to sleep for 1, 000 years, because magic has barely started to come back, and he wants to wait until spiritual energy is more abundant. And which point it's now the victorian era where its a literal copy of Lord of Mysteries.
The MC creates a cult, has a young girl, police man, and several other members that join his secret society. He is basically a god in the dream world, and the way they word his 'true name' is very similar to how people refer to Klein, especially when they sacrifice something to him, which teleports the item and memories to him exactly how it does in Lord of Mysteries.
Not only that all mystical arts have specific pathways, Shadow, Tower, History, Red (see the similarities with the paths in Lord of Mysteries). Where to get promoted you require certain rituals or items to gain powers.
He then travels around incognito, in different disguises, solving mysteries and gaining more mystical powers, while being chased and awed by religious groups and other secret organizations.
It has pretty bad pacing in some parts and the world building feels hollow compared to the stories it takes inspiration from. It just doesn't feel as dangerous, or as interesting as the world should be, especially compared to the world building in Deep Sea Embers.
Either way, if you are looking for something similar to Lord of Mysteries, it's an okay copy with a bit of a twist.
