It's fun, but the shameless-ness of the MC, his family, and the people around him turns me off

Creativity 4/5

Shamlessness get 2/5

3/5 in Total

Edit: The author over did its comedy, making parents fight for the money the MC have given them so they doesn't need to work hard, and also trying to interrogate the MC if that's all the money he earned. The parents are kind people and it's made in a comedic manner, but it's already pathetic at this point and even disgusting

Dropped because It has way too much Chinese propaganda and hate on all other countries. Somehow China is so much better than every other country this is so far from reality. They literally stole all the technologies from different countries. I don't mind propaganda here and there but 25 % of the 146 chapters I read are propaganda and ass licking the CCP.

Monster Factory is a way better novel but sadly not well translated later on.

Everyone loves their country but every country has its flaws but the government is never... more>> your friend. <<less

I really enjoy reading this novel. It's really fun until the MC... Well how can I say it? Against Japan? It's chapter 162 something. He clearly knew that using such a big thing may damage a human city, etc. I don't know if he have a brain or the Author have some 'hated Japan so much' really a bit racist novel. I give this 4 star for such a flaw. :3

January 02 2021 (chapter 241)

From the last time I read this till now it full of toxic racism. It ruined this novel. I don't care if this bullsh*t author hate this and that country. Your writing a novel not about your bullshit, it about the MC. Don't you get what I'm saying!? Personal life shouldn't involved unless it's about your bullsh*t life. Totally disappointed. Dear, you too immature. Please face your life and see if other countries even care about your well being.

I enjoyed this novel a lot. The family relationships are very realistic.

In this LN, unlike most other sci-fi, there is real science behind it.

The comedy is much better than what you would expect.

I know I'm just beating a dead horse at this point with all of the other reviews, but I just want to make sure that new readers know that while the beginning was pretty funny and interesting, the comedy quickly dies off and so does the quality of the novel. The comedy (which was what made the novel interesting at first), quickly dies off in later chapters and gets replaced by endless nationalist Chinese propaganda. I don't recommend this novel.

It's a fun novel. I know it has a lot of shortcomings, but in my opinion it's nothing major and you still can have a few laughs at it. The ending feel really rushed tho, I would have appreciate it more if it got a proper ending.

Took me a few chapters to realize this was a gag novel. Personally, I don't mind gag novels too much, but the MC seems to be the bu*t of the jokes 95% of the time. After a while it starts to get old. If I wanted to read novels like that, I'd read Japanese light novels where the beta male doormat... I mean, main character gets taken advantage of constantly.

Also, the jokes tend to be too forced at times. For example...

The school finds out that the MC can run really fast and want him to focus on sports instead of studying. He disagrees, knowing it's a pair of future tech shoes that gave him that speed to begin with. In return, they force him into a bet about making the top 25 student list at the end the month, then do ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING IN THEIR POWER to stop him from studying. Teachers refuse to teach him. They refuse to let him study on his own, forcing everyone in the class to go to PE for the whole school day. They purposefully try to interrupt and distract him during the final test. His own parents beat the crap out of him when he says he wants to focus on studying. It doesn't even make sense.

I get that it's a gag novel, but when it's forced this much it just feels janky. It started to make me feel like these people were simply awful people who only gave a crap about themselves, and that the MC was a pushover.

It's silly, but not too bad. The most unrealistic part isn't the futuristic products and transdimensional wormhole, it's that the story is set in 2020 and there is no pandemic, lol.

It's important not to take this story too seriously to enjoy it. It's got a relatively fast-paced humor and everything is a bit over the top and ridiculous.

Yes, the family and most of the people he meets are annoying and selfish. But you really have to regard them as caricatures more than anything. I think they are meant to be... more>> exaggerated.

So I wouldn't say it's really good, but there is a certain originality that is interesting. If you are in the mood for that you might like this, but it is definitely not for everyone. <<less
