Within the red tent, under the passionate eyes of the man on top, she was forced to make love and three thousand black strands turned to white.

Outside the red tent, her husband laughed and drank with the beauties by his side as they watched…

When the red was torn, pieces of it were carried away by the wind. As she stepped out with difficult steps, the silver hair danced in the wind. Exactly whose heart was the one that was hurt in the end?

“How…how could it be you?” A voice filled with disbelief, he who always believed himself to be cold and unfeeling, fell into the pits of hell, filled with pain and regret for eternity.

For this imperial power, there are countless hidden plots. She hid her capabilities and bided her time, only desiring for a safe haven. In the end, her wish did not come true, and she fell into the hands of someone else as a chess piece.

The tale of a time-traveling woman who gets forced to the point of no return, turning her black hair into white. Should she bow to her fate and submit? Or should she fight back and glow brilliantly?

I must say that I have read a loads of CN but this one is slightly different yet interesting nonetheless, especially the summary. Makes me guessing about the ending regardless of the tragedy tag, would they have a happy ending or not (?)

So far so good in terms of translation.

I've watched the drama but I want to read the novel too. I know drama adaptations make considerable changes.

UPDATE: The novel is BETTER than the drama. OMG, if you're into angsty stories with a subjective happy ending, read this novel. It has a lot of twists and turns and you'll love/hate the ML, but I guess that's part of the appeal.

At this point, I'm not really sure what makes our MC that super attractive to men of power, aside from her earth-shattering beauty,... more>> of course. But I like her resolve and how decisive she is even when she's hurt. <<less

As of the latest chapters. I think it's safe to say that this novel isn't the usual, cliché story of CTn. I dint really know why there's so many 1 star rates? But don't trust them. The romance so far is interesting. I cried. A little mature for those who want some little R16. Still waiting for more updates.

The title, the description and the story don't match. I repeat, they don't match.

I started reading this story for some angst. But all I found in this story was dog food, dog food and more dog food.

The first twenty chapters were filled with FL and ML's interaction, in other words, dog food. From chapter 21 to 35, the plot was filled with dog blood plot before returning to dog food again. There were no imperial schemes and no fight for the throne. Hell! There weren't even a single logical person... more>> in this novel. I felt like I was reading a novel written by a teenager with full of potholes.

The FL is one of the most hateful FL I've ever seen. She pretends to be virtuous and intelligent but I didn't saw her virtue neither her intelligent. For a person who can roll under the sheet with another man three days before her wedding can't be call virtuous at all. If she is virtuous, then all the green tea white lotus cannon fodders out there are virtuous too.

And the ML, oh the ML. I can't understand where should I even begin with. The author tried to portray many times that the ML didn't fell for the FL's face (and body) but it is a HUGE lie. He abducted the FL, even though she was already someone else's wife because he regretted breaking her heart. Ok, fine dude, I get it you are a possessive man so that's why you did it. But what about afterwards!? Why did you locked her up in a cold place for three days without food or water? Is this how people now express their love nowadays? Because I'm seeing it happening in most of the novels.

Anyway, this story is actually just the story if a love struggle between two people. Nothing more, nothing less. At every chapter I thought maybe, maybe the next chapter would be better and finally I will be able to read the true story. But after reading almost half of the story and seeing nothing but dog food, I had no choice but give it a one star and drop it completely. <<less

Sooo some people are still wondering the ending of this novel. I MTL-ed in a few months back and yes I can confirm it's a (fairly) happy ending. MC and the ML get to live happily ever after, it's just one of the side male leads that gets a tragic fate. It's a pretty good novel imo, I liked the story for the angst and it's different from the usual transmigration novels in the sense that there's no face-slapping revenge.

I'm probably too dumb for this novel cause I really didn't liked it. It's too bland and boring. I really tried to enjoy it cause I wanna watch the drama after reading. This novel made me not want to watch the drama.

It's probably gonna be someone else's favorite but this is definitely not for me.

Currently enjoying this story!! Because of the tragedy tag I've already put my defense up so that nothing takes me by surprise. Very painful lesson learned from Jiang Hu’s Road is Curved and Feng Yin Tian Xia!

Can't wait to find out how the scene described in the synopsis will happen!

Wish this story was still translated but i'll have to make do with mtling it.

This was an interesting mix of romance, mystery and political intrigue. I read it all in one go so I rated it 5 stars if only for being a very gripping read.

Once I ran out of available chapters, I spoiled myself with the drama adaptation (Princess Silver)... and I have to say that a somewhat implausible plot gets even more convoluted, 'dog-blood', and implausible, and the fate of the second male leads fits the Tragedy tag - IF the adaptation stayed faithful to the novel.

But if any translator picks this... more>> up again, I'll still finish the actual novel (even knowing the most likely ending) because I enjoyed the author's writing style. <<less
