a fairly decent story all together. Many worlds were rather cliche but they were well done within the usual structure (zombies, ABO, ancient history, mermaid, zerg, etc). I admit I skipped most of the chapters with genres I didn't like though. This story not as emotion-driven as some quick wear and not as shallow as some others. The MC isn't as driven and meticulous in his vengeance as the MC in FOD and in many stories if the protagonist leaves him alone, he'll do his own thing. Sadly most of... more>> the time the protagonists are selfish and unable to reflect. However sometimes his vengeance is nothing more than doing nothing in the face of the protagonists own bad choices. None of the protagonists are very good at taking responsibility for their own actions. The ending was long enough and fairly well done and understandable, which is a plus (I've recently read at least one quick wear that left me completely confused and scratching my head and one that abruptly ended with one chapter and most of the plot not explained). There's not a lot of graphic smut and the two leads are very sweet together. The ML is somewhat possessive but nowhere near yandere which makes for a pleasant read with no psycho surprises from the ML. <<less

It's good. Ignore the bad rating and judge it yourself. Don't just compare this with any other QT. You think QT's genre is only revolve around QWTFOD? Every QT story has their own style, not everyone should have a faceslapping moment, not everyone have to be kind, not everyone have to be ruthless, bot everyone in the QT has to be forgiving. Not every QT has to have an OP MC.

FYI this novel indeed has an OP MC and of course, a lot of face slapping moment, I just want... more>> to vent up my anger to the people who always compare other QT to FOD. <<less

I'm going to stop reading this novel because it hasn't caused me the slightest intrigue since I started reading it. This may have to do with the fact that I have read many novels about transmigrations and systems and so on and if you don't give me a novel with a minimally interesting plot, I lose interest.

I'm sorry, I tried to keep reading it but it seems to me that the events are too rushed and that nothing interesting happens. The story is rather mediocre, but I still appreciate the... more>> efforts of the English translator because he/she has done a good job. <<less

Really love this novel to the point of reading it several times.

The MC is clever, decisive and experienced due to his time in the military and the 100 worlds. But he can also be very childish and petty which he himself accepts. He can't handle pain but it's not a huge barrier for him that he can't function, rather he will return it back cause he's that petty. Even though he has gone through 100 worlds of pain, he is not evil but he is also not a good person.... more>> His goals mostly focus on fulfilling the original owner's wishes. He is clever enough to accomplish these goals without the help of a system, where the only help he has is the storyline and memories of the previous owner of the body.

The ML is a very lovable. Even though he doesn't do MC's work for him, he will support the MC and also lowkey carry out his own revenge if someone wrongs the MC.

Both the MC and ML are balanced where they can thrive without the other's help, but are a powerful force once they join hands.

Side characters are adorable! I wish we could get more from their pov.

The arcs are rather interesting, but like others said, could use a few more chapters. Some parts I wish could've been stretched longer. But the overall flow is good. The worlds used weren't as new but still had a twist. The main world plotline is.. Interesting.. I didn't understand much of it from MTL so I can't comment. But it was a new take on why he was selected by the system in the first place.

And last but not the least, the translator is doing an amazing job! Waiting for more! <<less

Seriously this has to be the most boring novel I've ever read (in my opinion). Each arc is so rushed and doesn't even evoke the slightest bit of interest. I'm all about quick transmigration and face slapping, but this? This is definitely not my type of a story. I have tried to continue reading this in hopes that I might like this but honestly, I don't think it's gonna happen so I gotta drop this. Sigh... this feels like a story written by an amateur (I'm not saying that... more>> the writer is bad. Maybe it's just this one novel that turned out this way). But I appreciate the translators efforts. They did a pretty cool job. <<less

I give 5 stars for dear Translators.

(I went in with absolutely no hopes.)

I think the MC is considered a villain in Protagnest eyes, so I replaced the word villain with "cannon folder" while reading.

The world-building, concept and ideas were good but the writing very was lacking.

The side couple was good but unnecessary, it was clear that the author is not good with writing romance.

Spoiler
    • 1st- (*8) /Film/fine
    • 2nd- (*8) /Apocalypse/should have been a little longer.
    • 3rd- (*7) /Concubine son/ I think he should have helped the FL a little then I would have liked it more.
    • 4th- (*5) /Merman/ it was not satisfying.
    • 5th- (*-) (skip it) crossdress (transvestism) is inaccurately portrayed.
    • 6th- (*9.5) /Interstellar/it was good compared to the previous once
    • 7th- (*10) /CEO/the 2 doctors were probably the side gay couple.
female characters were good (Ke Tur/step-mom and Weng Cheng/had a crush on orgl. MC)
    • 8th- (*10) /Primitive/ ML's pp can wiggle in this arc?.... The female character_HeXiao was so cute and hardworking
    • 9th-/Fox, Demon/ (*10) ch.89 is my fav.
    • 10th-/the childhood sweetheart/ (*8.5) This arc is kinda sota con?...... The villain was psycho if he was not stopped he would have killed everyone. At least the side cp "Yang Lizheng and Chen Qi" lived well in this arc.

Spoiler on ML-

Spoiler

The ML is recognised by - a mole on his pp, rubs his forehead, and MC feels comfortable around him.

I gotta say the novel got better from 6tharc onwards.

Please don't heat his novel too much, Translators were so sweet and I don't want this novel to be dropped.

Will come back when it's completely translated, Thank You, Translators for ur work till now.

f*ck I was gonna rate it 2 nvm.

Came for the villain protag, got a shitty cannon-fodder attack instead. That cross-dressing one, where the hell was ZX was a villain? He clearly suffered injustice and committed su*cide lmao. He did nothing except existing.

Military one? Well, his best friend abandoned him and he lost his fingers, tried to kill that scumbag a.k.a protag but failed. Great villain right here.

Apocalypse and space girl arcs. The worst ZX had done there was some verbal ab*se bruh, no kidding. Why would protags just did pits... more>> for him to fall and die? Are they that free?

Mermaid arc. Dude, protag was a f*cking thief, I didn't even get how ZX was made out to be a villain just because he wanted his possessions back. Are we sure these worlds aren't sum 5 y.o girls' twisted bedtime story?

In short, I hate these kinds of stories a lot. It feels like the author takes me for a fool. Like, he disses protags for being useless without their halo and their whole lot would be called despicable if they didn't have this status, which is simply baffling. I dunno what to call it other than bad writing lmao. The author clearly wants to write a villain story + but doesn't want to make him too evil and scare readers off = make protagonists breathing tr*sh bins so that ZX's behaviors could be justified.

Man, it's not like ruthless or evil protagonists don't exist, but this author just tries so hard to twist them it's nauseating. You get what I mean?

Film emperor and empress duo that was doing just fine until they meet our lord ZX: empress turns into a homicide maniac and emperor is a drug addict.

A supposedly sweet college love story, just to make things dramatic, has ZX commit su*cide. Tell me in which book a love rival in a college love story commits su*cide due to depression and intolerable bullying? Who wrote this script?

Also can somebody pls explain to me why protagonists are so tr*sh? Not in a bad sense this time, but their uselessness. I get that author wants to make MC super smart and master strategist, but mate I hate to break it to ya, his opponent is simply sinfully s*upid. After ZX's transmigration, originally well-doing capable protags experience a sharp decrease in IQ. All we get was sum black-bellied arrogant young masters, spineless cowards, lust motivated fickle princes, pheasants blinded by greed...

I'm guessing you get it. Protagonists are so bad that you can't help but view the supposed villain as the Holy Father, which I despise the most.

So yes, I'll just repeat myself, came for a villain got a cannon-fodder-turns-into-a-male-god kinda plot.

For MC and ML? Worst than the tea that's been bred for 3 hours. Even 1 dimension has more angels than them. Chemistry, characters, tension, NOTHING WAS F*CKING THERE.

Damn, it turned into a huge ass essay. Anyways, I recommend "A hundred ways to kill a heartthrob" that I've been reading recently. At least MC there actually has balls and ruthless. <<less

It’s so boring and anticlimactic. Because there’s a ‘romance’ genre tag, the romance should be a major part of the story, but it fades into the background every arc.

I don’t expect much from ‘Quick Transmigration’ novels because I read them solely for the romance. Even if the plot is cliche or the MC and ML are the stereotypical ones and flat, it’s fine, because usually the romance makes up for it. This novel lack all three. I’m even robbed of the smut scenes.

It’s currently 3am and I just finished chap 7.1 and all I can think is “this has yet to evoke even the slightest bit of interest from me.”

Firstly, as I’ve said before in another review, if I’m not hooked by the 5th chapter I try to squeeze out the remaining 5 and then decide whether I’ll continue or drop. I decided to stop at chapter 7.1 because I’ll give this the benefit of the doubt and say that I’m just too tired and that’s why I find this utterly dry.

However,... more>> one thing for sure, I’m really sick of the same old copy n paste character template for pretty much all the characters in qt/system novels. Hell, in most of these novels period, but for the sake of keeping this related to system/qt novels I’ll keep focused

The ML is always this super annoyingly rich super OP mega powerful as*hole that apparently doesn’t even spare anyone else a glance until the MC pops into the world, and then he’s all of a sudden struck dead by the beauty of him and in love at first sight.

BRO! I get it after like the first two worlds, because by then it’s a soul tie at that point so whateve, but in this first world, they didn’t even exchange more than two sentences and suddenly the ML is in love.

Let’s ignore the fact that I find those relationships kinda annoying since the power balance is completely off and welcomes so many problems, whatever. The fact that they just hop skipped and jumped into a relationship was so.... random. there was no chemistry, no sweetness, nothing. It pretty much felt like the author was trying to force these two together, like trying to shove a triangle into the square; it just didn’t fit.

Now if I genuinely ignore all of this, continue repeating “this is the 7th chap. it’ll get better.” over and over again, I still get pissed at the fast pace of it all? This arc feels so rushed and yet it’s like 15 chapters long so I’m not exactly sure why it’s so rushed.

Maybe I’ll come back by chap. 10 and edit this, and maybe I wont who knows. but currently at 3:20 am, I think I’m just going to have to suffer the drought of having nothing to read <<less

If you read this till the first twenty some chapters (depends on your resistance), you may get the delusion that it's good... But then you realise... it's not... it's really really irrealistic

-the villains (ex-protagonists) all unexpectedly start having "inexplicable feelings" for zhou xu

-the plots are all done too favorably (unreasonably) for the MC, like it's obvious, too obvious... Actually there are some overpowered MC who are pretty "reasonable" because the author knows how to write that...

... more>> poor writing+poor plot+ridiculously op mc= garbage story.

Actually there are other way more overpowerded MC than this one, but I don't know they don't appear as unreasonable as this one... don't know if it's understandable? <<less

Look this is decent, it's not a bad novel. A lot of the low reviews are about how it's too fast paced or there's little romance but I think it's all proportional. I mean if I wanted outstanding plot I wouldn't come here, just a lil faceslapping is enough to please me.

and this annoyed me so much, as the arcs progressed especiallyyyy arc 7, it started to seem like the protoganists that the MC was fighting against weren't even doing anything wrong??? Arc 6 was the first clue into this like yes the guys betrayed you but you must be dense to not realise the societal pressure on Gers?? He would've been put out onto the streets and in the end he WAS. So annoying. Sorry to say I pitied him soooo much. He ends up getting severly ab*sed and used as like a birthing machine and the MC is just like whoops shouldn't have betrayed me, shut up =_=. The weird thing the author goes on to say that the protagonist guy felt helpless and jealous that our MC was succeeding while the Gers still weren't able to join the military cause of their fertility or whatever AND THATS A COMPLETELY NORMAL REACTION. In the end he couldn't even feel that way cause he felt completely defeated and battered. Like ofc I feel sad for the poor guy!!!!

[collapse]

Spoiler

Don't even get me started on arc 7. The protagonist in this one is CLEARKY IN THE RIGHT FOR WANTING REVENGE LIKEEE. Think about it this way, if the MC had transmigrated into the protoganist the story would have gone the exact same way like what's with this unconditional violence with no brain please!!

Your average counterattack QT. It's not that special... and I honestly expected more from this.

From the title and description, I thought the MC would be a really cool villain character, but no. He's just a mediocre, overly-exaggerated character with no substance. Some of the characters he played weren't even villains. It was as if the author wanted to make the worlds easier for the MC.

As for the ML, he's literally the most cliche ML ever. Cold, possessive, only cares about the MC. Yet another character with absolutely no substance.

The side... more>> characters are completely 2D and one could tell they were clearly created to be face-slapped by the MC. They literally have no common sense, making them yet another thing that assists MC throughout the story.

I don't know, some people might like this type of brainless story. Honestly, it's just a bore. There are just better QTs out there. <<less

First of all, the idea of the

plot is really good and thats what drew me in but unfortunately the execution kinda sucks.

Like for most of the part it feels as if the author is just narrating the story. Even some of the things such as how ML and MC fell at first sight for each other or other such scenes that should be shown to us are just told by the author, which makes me unable to connect with the characters.

Even the love between MC and ML is not... more>> conveyed properly. It just feels like they fell in love because the author said so. It may be because I read too many novel that ihave become used to the amazing writing style of other authors and have become picky due which I find this story quite bland and am unable to engage myself in it.

Well, that's just my opinion, for those who don't have any problem with long narrations can read the story cuz the plot is okay, but for me I'm not gonna read it any further. <<less

the MC over taking the system was barely touched on (or spun as if to be revealed later) and when everyone "heard the conversation" between the protag and MC they all took the protag's side even though said conversation would actually turn the crowd hostile to protag (who had film empress' support.

This novel is full of hypocrisy and double standards.

The main character's logic is one-sided, favoring only their own self-interest (this, the author also acknowledged it). He is also very arrogant and contradictory, always alternates between being uncompromising and displaying risky kindness.

The antagonists in every small worlds all lack complexity and are portrayed as brainless. Their actions lack intrigue, cunning, or any depth, resulting in lackluster face slaps. In most arcs, It doesn't feel like the MC has actually done anything, and the story just ends with the antagonists digging their... more>> own graves.

Furthermore, the unequal treatment of the antagonists in terms of consequences is really frustrating. Why is it that one can face lenient sentences, while the other suffers from severe punishments without a chance to repent? There are many times when the worst antagonist gets a lighter punishment or an easy death. It's like, just because the other was the original protagonist, he deserves the harshest punishment of all (even though there are times he totally deserves it). The inconsistency in addressing their actions really annoys me, especially when the original Zhou Xu was not at all innocent. Although I get that it's not the current MC's responsibility to compensate for the original's wrongdoings, it would still be more appreciated if the author handled their resolution more fairly in some arcs.

And the last arc, which is supposed to be the climax, is wayyyy too underwhelming. It failed to showcase the intelligence of both the main character and the final villain. Instead, it portrays others as ignorant rather than highlighting the protagonists' exceptional abilities. This is really disappointing, considering the author's attempts to hint at the great scheme of the villain and the smartness of the MC since day 1.

Other than what I mentioned above, I think it's a pretty okay story (I mean, I don't hate it after all that complaints). If you just read it with a leisurely mind and don't have high expectations, you might be able to enjoy it. <<less

The only things I can think why this novel has Low Rating is because, either people stopped reading this after they ONLY read the First arc, or they ONLY read less than 3 or 5 arc and give less than 4 stars.

Because I admits, the 1st arc of this novel, while not bad, has Very Fast Pace, and when people already read lots of QT that has Great 1st arc that make them into the novel to read more than that, compared to all That novel, this novel's 1st arc... more>> has rather lower quality. But it's NOT BAD!

Seriously, just keep reading the novel. In every arc, the story keep getting better, and the plot even getting more exciting; the past of the MC, why he Transmigrated, who is the ML, the similarity of the other characters in every different worlds, etc.

Believe me, I was so worried to dislike this MC because in the summary described MC as such a Cruel and Merciless MC, and well, because the rating of this novel is Low.

But what I got after reading this? So far I already read 9 arcs of this novel, and only the very 1st arc that I would give 3 stars for being Average and Fast paced, while the rest of the arcs are Very Good and even Sooooooo Good!!! And then MC's personalities. We already shown his Kindness and Moral gray in only the 2nd arc.

This novel has something that makes it different from other QT/World Hopping Novel. It's related to MC's past and other characters. That's the only clues that I would gives that won't spoil this novel. But trust me, it's the Good kind of different. (At least I hope so. Unless the author make some weird unnecessary plot twist)

I pray so hard the author would give satisfying ending for this novel!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 Please don't disapoint me!!!

Finished at 26 March 2023

It's certainly unique novel. Does it have satisfying ending?... Hmmm... Can't say that. But does it disappointing? Definitely not to me! If anything... It was Unique. Definitely Rare on the very last chapter.

The Twist of why everything happen was interesting. And I think it make the Villain see something and feel something more meaningful.

Like seriously, the Last arc aka Real World arc, could have been accepted well IF more things about Soul things was mentioned in many other arcs like small slip or something, but sadly they didn't. Or as far I remember at least. The previous arcs only hints us about the existing of the villain, but not his power etc.

So well... At the final arc I end up only get the Power things and how MC and others defeat the Villain, like.... Only understand 1/2 of it. ¯_ (ツ) _/¯

It maybe just me who's slow too though. Lol

But seriously, this novel has a Main Villain who could have be more Amazing Villain, not just in Power, but in his Background setting and his Existence. He could have been so much more!!! But yeah, sadly he only truly exist in the Final.

Anyway it was truly Interesting ride! Definitely not disappointing, but it was truly could be so much more... Aiyah. Oh well....

8/10 for this, the combination of story flows when characters. But I'll keep the 5 ⭐. <<less

Might change my mind if the plot gets better later on, but right now it's not very good despite the efforts of the translator.

So far:

- The MC overrides his system so he can do what he wants in this world

- Proceeds down a very stereotypical bl path despite all of his backstory

- (Pro) He's a villain and therefore good at acting

- (Pro) He's more than a villain, he had his own desires too

- (Pro) He's good at selling meng and hiding his own personality

- (Con) He has experienced at least 99 horrible deaths, yet is still afraid of the pain from needles in a game show scenario

- (Con) He's had a lot of lives and knows everything but doesn't seem to have any specific actual interests or hobbies

- (Con) He's a villain who has been working against the system for ages, but seemingly has no plan to handle it. Has it even been permanently disabled, or is it just this one life? What happens next? Doesn't he hate it? Why is he focused on his bodies goals and not destroying it?
