I am reading the raws and this is quickly becoming one of my favorite CN novels. It is very different from your typical "go back in time" novels as the MC has very little knowledge of anything that happens in the future. He is just aware of really major events like everyone getting isekai'd into the game world, that dual classing is strong and that's basically it. First 50 chapters or so are not very good because they focus on the setting and d&d mechanics but it quickly ramps up... more>> after that. I also really like the worldbuilding in the novel. The general gist of it (minor spoilers) is that the game world is ruled by "npc" powergamers who understand how to exploit d&d game mechanics. (Spoilers, but for the first 10 chapters) The story is about the MC being inducted into an organization of powergamers and all his power comes from that. <<less

The problem with this novel is that it's too faithful to the pedantic rules of D&D. These rules make absolutely no sense in a supposedly real world.

Too many stats, and a lot of walls of text wasted on said stats. I couldn't care less about about the details, this is not a board game rulebook for crying out loud!

His mentor is extremely annoying, she keeps teasing him like she's playing with a kitten. Just say what you need to say, and stop these useless mind games.

The translation takes a dip... more>> early on. The formatting becomes especially bad, which makes reading a bit difficult.

Also, I disagree with his choice to be Wizard. It's a pain in the ass class. In that world, your focus shouldn't being a glass cannon, but a balanced class to help you survive longer. I think a Ranger, Druid, or even Sorcerer would make much more sense, but that's just me. <<less
