Levin de Bervein was the lord of a prestigious duchy and a renowned swordmaster with outstanding looks. While seemingly perfect, he harbored a secret: he was actually a woman!

After falling into water unexpectedly, she met the eccentric princess.

“Sister, please become a fake obsessive maniac!”

Since they were inside this tragic BL novel, the princess wanted her to seduce the bottom male lead instead of the original story’s obsessive maniac to prevent the world’s destruction.

She followed the plan and seduced him, acting like an obsessive maniac.

However…

“Act like you love me. If you don’t, I might just kill the person you love.”

The bottom male lead, whom she manipulated and discarded, returned as the Emperor of a new empire.

“What do I need to do to have you? War? Massacre?”

The original ‘Obsessive Maniac 1’, the enemy empire’s emperor, was truly insane.

“With just one kiss from you, I can dedicate everything I have. This heart, this empire.”

The childhood friend whom she thought was innocent turned out to be the real ‘Obsessive Maniac 2’ from the original story.

For some reason, the obsessive maniacs from the story all come after her.

I MTLed this to 80! Also the translations are good and really knows how to create that ambiguous tension between characters.

More In-Deph Summary:

This is a gender-bender story about a woman who temporarily uses black magic to become a man. (Meaning that her height, vocals, and structure are that of a man except for all the other things that come with being a female). She is described to look androgynous. Due to the patriarchy, being a MAN in power is better than being a woman in power, so that is... more>> the main reason why our FL is dressed as a man!

Moving on, the FL finds out she is in a BL novel. The Kingdom Princess transmigrated into the novel and relied this information to our FL once she found out the FL understood Korean and remembered her past life. The Kingdom princess told her that the novel they are in is tr*shy and angst so they should make a plan to seduce the "bottom male lead" because if he dies the world is over! Comes to find out in the original book, that the "bottom male lead" did die at the end, and since the ML happened to be favored by the Gods, the Gods created chaos in the world.

So that's why in the summary it says that since they were inside this tragic BL novel, the princess wanted her to seduce the bottom male lead instead of the original story's obsessive maniac to prevent the world's destruction.

Our FL is kinda slow if I'm being honest. I wish tags could highlight more because there are always misunderstandings. It's not hair-pulling but you do kinda grow tired of it. The Princess guides and tells our FL what she should do, and the FL will just do it. Like when she was seducing the "bottom male lead" she never stopped and thought to herself "damn I'm really hurting him maybe I should ease it up". That's why I liked how this translation showed how shallow the FL thought about the "bottom male lead" as just a mission to avoid chaos. She made him catch feelings and disregarded him casually! And same with her childhood friend! Like she never follows her own script! I don't want to say she's insensitive but got damn she's slow to catch on to sh*t! The men are obsessed with you slow-poke!

Anyways, I feel kinda bad for the "bottom male lead" because that man is already going through enough mentally. The summary already tells you how he gonna be though, so I guess that's cool or whatever.

There is some type of angst in this book, because you don't know what the ML's will do next and our FL is very slow to catch on. I'm surprised she is a damn Duke smdh. Probably just good with physical shi but intellectually... that's another topic. There's a lot of pushing from her side so expect that! I honestly just wish she could Read. The. Room!

I do think she will end up with a Childhood friend. He was the first one to find out she was a woman and still accepted her. But the future is a little blurry because we didn't get much screen time with the enemy Emperor and the new and improved "bottom male lead"

Will I continue reading this? Maybe. If this book picks up and people are talking about it in the forums I WILL look at the spoilers and just leave it like that. I just feel like it won't end the way I want it too. I do think it will be a happy ending though, so don't fret. <<less
