1. While scheming to get the sister in law married to the Governor, the old mother in law mentioned that it might be hard for their merchant family to climb up the ranks to be the main wife bc the Governor might be related to the royal family. She thinks that her daughter is peerless but might only be a concubine at best.

2. The Li family daughter, who looks a bit like the FC younger self, and who married into her husband's harem as an equal wife, might have slept w FL's husband bc she was instigated by ML in order to crush FL's feelings for her husband.

3. Raws & machine TL make this a bit hard to understand. So the ML knew the FL when he was a child abused by his family. The FL was kind to him and he felt that she was the only light in his life. ML got blame for family's misfortune and got drowned by his uncle and thought to be dead. He was later adopted by a Duke and his wife (a princess) and lost contact w FL who was too young to remember him probably.

FL believes her H to be a handsome man, scholarly man, and she loves him after so many years of marriage which is why... despite giving her body up she's still entangled w the H in her heart. ML will try to put this man in a bad light every chance he gets lol. A bit of comedy ensues every time he plays the green tea bit*h to make the H looks bad.

4. ML tells the FL the reason she's is barren is due to being poisoned for a very long time. Of course, it was the MIL that poisoned her this entire time due to some lazy misplaced anger that her son went against her wishes to marry FL.

5. It should be noted here that ML claims to have been a virg*n. His reputation is clean and he doesn't have any entanglements. There were two maids who were sent him to sleep with but he kept them as maids and never touched them. This caused them to be jealous of FL in the earlier chapters and they tried to humiliate her. Of course the black belly ML won't let them do that.

6. While FL still has reservations about men and their promises, she started to change her mind about the ML around c 71 because of how careful and considerate he is of her... (except for the initial non-con of course lol).

and tries to save him from prison. But she is tricked by the Governor, who makes her drunk and well... He takes advantage of her innocence to do her.

and even though discovers some bad things he has done, she is too weak and ends up with him.

isn't out of love, it's forced by the author.

because the plot part is forced even though it makes the reading a little less boring.
