Furthermore, this fish even had a master. This master was the sinister and terrifying, mute tyrant from a novel. The system gave Li Yu a task. If he wanted to change back into a human, he had to obtain the tyrant’s heart.
Li Yu full of tears: System, please wake up. I’m only a fish. He can’t even speak. How can we interact?
System: Stop jabbering. To take down the tyrant, you must attack his heart.
Li Yu: Can I ask, does the tyrant have a heart–
Li Yu did his best to blow bubbles at the tyrant, but ended up being captured by the tyrant and raised carefully in a huge, ginormous…… fish tank. The life of a fish was filled with all sorts of blessings.
Everyday, Mu Tianchi watched the little carp swim around happily, pondering when this fish would finally transform into a human.
The little carp didn’t know. It’s not that the tyrant had no heart, it’s just that he already gave it away to the little carp that accidentally saved his life.

- Immature, downright s*upid, lazy Gary Stue MC (only strong points are the knowledge of the OG plotline, the system and favour of the main protagonist including the protagonists' halo.
He leaves most of the work to the ML. There are missions where he's allowed to earn some brownie points, but those are menial tasks, fail safe and idiot proof.)
s*upid as in: being naïve to the point of you can openly call him s*upid.
Lazy; to the point that he doesn't want to lift a single finger after marriage (not that it was any different prior). All the paper works and management of the household is still the ML's burden.
Of course, that is one of the many ways for ML to pamper his fish wife but for the love of god, be a little more responsible, will you? He takes over as a playmate for his own children and a moral compass navigator, menial work is still mostly left to a nanny. He also constantly feeds his kids tr*sh, most of the time it's candy and snacks, no wonder they're all overweight.
t's also become quite an annoyance that whoever lays eyes on MC will adore and love him within seconds.
Besides just plain ass laziness, he's slacking in the matter of his missions as well. The rewards sometimes are a big help to save the ML and he just tosses it aside. (Referring to the visions he could see, the third time he received that reward, he just tossed it to the back of his mind.) This is also one of the biggest reasons why you could claim he's taking his ML for granted.
The Mpreg in this one is also problematic and wishy-washy. He's able to push out babies in his sleep but when it comes to normal pregnancy it became a huge "sacrifice" (-realizing what a huge sacrifice this was- a literal quote from the story). It feels like a mockery to all women especially because he desperately wanted to get pregnant (but the easy way, he knows and sympathizes with women who have to go through it, but hell, if you want children that bad, be at least prepared for some work).
He'd also have long monologues about moral rights and wrongs that contradict each other where some are obv. biased (for example he'd say a lot in favour for women's rights but when it comes to a poor princess that lost her home country and who was forced to marry the enemy as a concubine, he becomes extremely apathetic.
Not saying he should forgive her but at least understand...), it's a mess. He's condescendingly judging left and right like as if he in his position and life experience is the one to talk.
The first pod of children are also an issue. The 1st and 4th child are often talked about and given strong individual personalities but 2nd and 3rd child come often as a bundle and mostly for comedic relief.
When trouble arises, and ML takes on all the burden, MC often would write it off as 'male lead halo; therefore no need to worry or lend a hand'. Sure, he does worry and all that, but doing one thing and acting the opposite is just conflicting, he knows the butterfly effect is in place, nothing's fail safe. He doesn't even question his extremely smooth road so far either but feels rather he had suffered a lot under the system which he benefited from more than anything.
And even if all these points can't convince you, I can assure you for most of the time during matters surrounding life and death, MC will always think of f*cking first. That's where his priority lies, f*cking. Screw the kids, screw the mission, screw he himself the most. And this novel has no smut so... I don't see the point.
Don't get me wrong here, I love my pure fluff stories, but this is try-harding to implement other elements into the story that just doesn't blend together like water and oil. At every possible twist or turns the author will toss in fluff like a distraction while yet everything lays so transparently in front of you. Just... goddamn it, if you want to make it exciting, make it exciting without MC getting all h**ny all over the place.
-hasty and rushed relationship followed up with stagnant married life, with the stagnant flow, the flaws of the protagonists started to stand out like a sore thumb MC often will take ML for granted and has crappy priorities. There were some strong parts that was unique for transmigration novels that again like usual, got shoved aside for the only and biggest highlight, the fluff.
One crucial part I would to seen more of was the struggle the MC was going through over the fact that the system set him up with the ML, his intentions to help and flattery for the ML was for the sake of his own survival (which in hindsight doesn't stray far off from an average concubine's goals in palace intrigues). Before he could even think of the next step, ML manages to woo MC, so that guilty conscience was tossed far far away.
At the end of the day, their relationship was based off of misunderstanding like most system transmigration novels, MC keeps deceiving, ML trusts him fully and MC lives somehow with a clear conscience that ML doesn't know jack sh*t with a excuse of "it'll scare him" (as if the current excuse isn't ridiculous enough).
But yeah, overall, it has a strong strong fluffy note, strong to the point of numbing your senses. Certainly not the best fluffy novel out there but also not the worst. Amazing translations and cute little fan art of readers are a big bonus.
