Lin Jiang, who was cheated by his club’s contract, unexpectedly traveled back four years in time. Looking at the contract full of traps, he decisively tore it up and left, joining the league’s lowest-ranked team instead.

It is well known that OT’s starting AD, Shen Ju, is recognized as the “Crown Prince” of the LoL esports scene. He has a terrible temper and unmatched tr*sh-talking skills.

Everyone assumed Captain Lin Jiang would have a hard time keeping him in line—until the day of the competition, when Shen Ju was walking ahead and Lin Jiang lazily called out to him from behind.

“Puppy Shen, grab me a bottle of water.”

Shen Ju handed him the bottled water naturally, without a hint of hesitation. He even helped unscrew the lid.

The fans who were sitting and waiting for him to snap: ??

This novel has alot of emotional play... mostly outside of esports? Although the esports aspect was fun too, I think the drama outside of it is so rich. The character's backstories and sensitivities are so alive. The (sort of) antagonist He Gu is like a dual male lead, his story is just as prominent as the MC. It's done really well if you enjoy a novel with lots of feelings.

For me I just think after the part where he visits the MC at his apartment - it's a little over... more>> done. Their entanglement really doesn't need to be that deep. And also I keep getting irritated that MC keeps drawing boundaries to go no contact but then it doesn't happen. Like this wife chasing crematorium is NOT fun when the one chasing isn't the ML. I just don't think the love rival needs to be this annoying. I'm just glad this didn't go completely ape sh*t or something. Also it feels weird when the rest of the team is kinda noob at first. But that's just my preference when the teammates are already kind of really good. <<less

Well there was some angst with his former club owner. They know each for years and MC has done alot for him in the club but club owner was emotionally abnormal and didn't treat MC the way a lover should be treated, until MC's death his still doesn't realize what happened.

In his new life MC did everything he wanted and changed his life for the better, ML is just a licking dog, a dog that only controlled by MC, acting cute and clingy all the time.

Everybody family is tr*sh apart... more>> from MC's. One of the teammates is just so bad that stepmum was treating him so bad.

The game play takes the majority of the novel.

Teammates all get taught by MC to be world champions.

A balance novel with the game and romance. MC winning in both romance and the game this time, trying to have no regrets. I respect what MC wants he will try his hardest and what he refused he never looks back. <<less

This is a fun read! The MOBA game and tournament progression get significant focus, and I like that MC, while OP, cannot carry the team alone. The growth of MC's new team is a satisfying path for his second chance, contrasted with the gradual reveal of what happened in his previous life. It would be nice for MC to have an even cleaner break from his past, but his patience makes sense given his personality.

Despite half the cast having huge heart eyes for MC, they still manage to be interesting... more>> and likeable. The controlling character from his past is nuanced, at times both civil and creepy, slowly fracturing as the story progresses. The backstory is compelling, and does a great job depicting the character as rational but detestable. I wouldn't mind one or two of those backstory scenes centering on ML instead, though, even just to show the evolution of his tr*sh-talking.

I'm not a huge fan of the way the injury subplot

becomes a joke to both fans and teammates, but I do like that it has consequences.

While not given a glowing depiction, I don't think the Korean teams are written as expressly evil.
Spoiler

Refusing training matches is cold, but not dishonest. I don't know enough to say whether it is unsportsmanlike. The harsh fans are reminiscent of sports leagues where fans of perennial powerhouses are far more critical than fans of underdog teams. If they're not cheating, I think a secretive opponent makes sense in a high-pressure competition.

I was genuinely curious about how MC would tame ML, but it's really not that big of a deal. If you couldn't say ML had a crush on MC from their first previous encounter, then you could say ML fell immediately as soon as he caught a glimpse of MC's beauty *sigh

MC is fine, with ups and downs emotionally, and mature with the lessons he's learned, and determined to get what he wants. Kind, handsome, and victorious, perfect after his rebirth.

My biggest interest was in ML, a foul-mouthed character who... more>> braved winds and seas, who managed to carry his team on his own in the past. Obviously, he'd be overshadowed by the protagonist, but he still has some good moments in the game. Him being a MC kisser is a bit annoying; it should have seemed cute, but it seemed brainless. In fact, I almost thought everyone would become MC's children (he was seriously looking like a father at times). Or that he'd get a harem.

And that said, the story with that CEO was also somewhat interesting. In short, it's not amazing, but it's worth reading if you like successful revivals. <<less

It was nice actually, the regression part was good with how the story was paced. Romance wise it was okay, decent at most while the details in the game mechanics was nice at first but felt like the author gave up half-way and just slapped the characters around. Though I would've loved the author delving more in both the main characters families like what they did to the side character. The lpk arc kinda had some xenophobic feel which really didn't sit right with me though looking at it on... more>> how fans fight during the season, well it doesn't feel far-fetched. Now the best parts in the story, idk if its just the translator I used but I think it was kinda implied that they're a switch couple which made me go back and reread someof the chapters. It was a nice part although im not a hundred percent sure on that one. Honestly hoping that it wasnt a translation error on my part as thats the only thing that made me rate this one star higher than I would personally would like to rate this story to be. <<less
