Not that bad, since I know what I would get by reading the title, summary, and genre. I hope I get what I expect like more farming rather than the usual urban life and face-slapping scenario. I expect face-slapping, not just the execution.

This is a tough thing to review. By almost any standard this story is average and repetitive. It is decently well written, and the translation I'd give a 4/5 rating to.

It just scratches a certain itch for me so I enjoy it and will probably keep reading it. There has been ZERO harem so far though. The most recurring character besides the main character is the bank president.

Personally I'd like for the harem to start developing. Also, I want the MC to interact with more characters besides the bank president.

If... more>> you like slice of life things, with generous amounts of face slapping (figuratively for the most part), and don't mind a bit of Chinese pride bleeding overly into the work I say give it a few chapters to see if you like it. 10 or so should be enough to easily determine if you will want to keep reading. <<less

Good translation. The reason I didn't like this novel is the story started off with an interesting premise, then just degenerated into a repetitive mass of all the cool cars he's going to drive, how people are going to bootlick him, and ultimately how he's going to play cruel tricks and overwhelm everyone with the fact he has lots of money while still getting the girl. There are no true villains in the piece, and his actions are quite callous at times. It reads more like a teenager's revenge fantasy.

There... more>> is barely any relationship with his parents and old friends, which might otherwise inject some interest and colour into the plot. The MC has very little personality and it is pretty boring how he just uses his wins to socialise with the rich. Also - why don't any of these 'rich system' stories ever have the MC do anything for a charity (other than abandoned animals) ? Sad.
The overall theme of the novel is, if you have money everyone thinks you're wonderful. I could wish this was a satire, but it isn't. <<less
