Chen Ju, a high school student, is a fearless bully. Relying on his family’s wealth, he shamelessly pursued Jiang Zhou, a transfer student. He would wait at the classroom door after class and block him at the school gate after school. Unexpectedly, Jiang Zhou didn’t appreciate it. Chen Ju, feeling embarrassed and angry, used his cunning to find leverage and threatened Jiang Zhou to be in a relationship with him.

However, one day, a drastic change occurred in Chen Ju’s family. He went from being a young master whom everyone supported to being a burden that everyone despised. A few years later, Chen Ju transformed into an obedient child.

At a class reunion, Chen Ju met Jiang Zhou, who had become a big boss. The disparity in status and relationship made Chen Ju hesitate, and he could only dare secretly like him.

However, Jiang Zhou, who had always ignored him, seemed like a different person. He was very kind to Chen Ju. When Chen Ju was immersed in this happiness, he accidentally learned the truth. It turned out that Jiang Zhou came to him for revenge.

Heartbroken, Chen Ju cut off all contact with Jiang Zhou and left that place. However, a few months later, while he was eating a big watermelon at his grandfather’s house, he looked up and saw Jiang Zhou, dressed in a suit and leather shoes, standing outside the yard.

“Little Orange, I was wrong. Come back with me, okay?” Jiang Zhou’s eyes were affectionate, and his tone was gentle.

Initially cold, terrible, and sharp-tongued, later becomes gentle and dotes on his wife Gong×Initially innocent and adorable, a pampered young master, later becomes timid, naturally stuttering, and pitiful Shou

I have decided to drop this series, the sadomasochistic relationship between the MC and ML is just too much for me. In my opinion, they both need a whole lot more therapy before starting any romantic relationship, and ML's treatment of MC is just not acceptable for me, particularly since the MC is very mentally vulnerable throughout their relationship and the power imbalance just made everything a whole lot worse.

I know the ML has his own issues too but he went way too far with his obsessiveness and possessiveness, vut... more>> I do commend the ML for never hitting/stopping the moment he realize he's hurting the MC during his episodes of mania, can't say anything about the r*pe/non-con/dub con tho...

Overall, I guess this story just ain't for me, the MC is basically the combination of Naruto+Maxinilian when it comes to his vehement denial of all things bad (that was done to him) and his timid personality (maxi b4 riftan), and the disaster of the ML with his own controlling issue, I just can't bear to keep on reading this...

If you guys have the patience to wait for the ML redemption arc, which only really happen after 95+ chapter, you can give this a try. <<less

I haven't read such a steady stream of drama in a long time. The pacing of the plot is particularly good, if rather depressing. The story does have a happy ending of sorts despite overwhelming tragedy, various mental illness, and a very unhealthy interdependent relationship centre to the plot. I am happy to see that the characters here will actually seek out professional help and that the psychologists do not turn into antagonists. The characters do not handle things well even with help, but I'm appreciative to see a somewhat... more>> positive handling of the mental health field for once. This is overall a strong story well worth the read as long as you know the genre you are getting into.

Small note about the second male lead:
Spoiler

His brand of subtle green tea didn't offend me at first, but I for once came to hate the 'gentle supporting protagonist' more than the 'overbearing paranoid ceo'. The moment that killed his character for me was when he sought a romantic promise from the MC right after his mother passed away. Making a move on someone you supposedly love when they are emotionally vulnerable just because you know you don't have a chance is just low. On that note, kudos to the author for making the standard arrogant young master cannon fodder an important and almost likeable character.

Usually I'm a sl*t for these wife chasing novels etc but this one was just too much! The ML is so unbearable in this... I get that stuff happened to him but the way he treats the MC after 100+ chapters STILL not to mention how consistently horrible he was in the beginning.. ughh.. also

Spoiler

I kept reading because the summary made it seem like the MC would realize earlier and LEAVE but where I stopped in the story he's still being trapped fr... I just kept waiting for him to to escape but he literally can't leave it got too frustrating. I love these types of novels because I know the ML has to suffer a whole bunch to balance all the pain at the beginning and I'm not sure if that happens in the last 60+ chapters or not but honestly at this point I feel like regardless of what happens to him it would still not be enough for me to like him so I'm stopping now 😭😭😭 baby runnnn

If you're more patient than I am and can wait 100+ chapters for character development and like stories of these genres then I would still give this a try because it does have a lot of elements that people would like from this genre.

Ill rate it 1.5 or 2 stars, all I can say is the ML is shit, he's gone too far too many times. I thought it would be a normal and typical plot MC misunderstood the ML then run away then get coaxed, then get back together but bishhh nah, the amount of trauma and problems the MC had gone through because of the ml, im surprise he didn't go insane. A good ending for me is Jiang Zhou dying (cuz he's sick, a psychopathic bich, and an obsessive lunatic)... more>> and the MC spending his days in the countryside.

This is just too much, the drama tho is kinda addicting to read. I'm dropping this and plans to skip to the last chap so I can see the ending. <<less

This is the first novel where I think the ML is totally crazy. I don't know how the author intends to remedy the situation, and I'm not going to stick around to find out. The MC has a very... weak personality? soft? forgetful? because after many things happened he still had illusions with the ML, until something happened and the MC broke, but I don't know if I want the MC to forgive the ML.
