This is a depressing story about broken people, and it's doomed to end unhappily from the start. Don't expect to find normal people here, nor healthy relationship, nor character development, only endless whining. The weak-minded MC pursued hedonistic life while abandoning her morality and brought irreversible tragedy to her kingdom and its people as consequence of her selfishness. And, her harem members mostly grew up being abused by those in power, hence the twisted personality. The smut was mostly r*pe and violent acts.

The plot was average. The beginning was still okay although the reason to wipe out an entire kingdom was unbelievable, but it began to be super exhausting to read when tragic childhood stories of each harem member was being introduced one by one. I skim-read most of the part because their inner monologues were just too depressing. The only redeeming point is that the author doesn't try to beautify the ending.

The translation is just slightly polished version of mtl, so it's better to read at the official website if possible. In the raws, the scenes from original timeline has different background color, so it's easily distinguishable from the current timeline, but in the translation, those scenes are put within bracket, which is not easily recognizable.

Edit: Thank you to the translator who has made huge improvements to the translation quality and formatting. It's much more readable in the recent chapter.

Final thought: Don't bother to read the main story. Just skip directly to 4th side story which took place in modern era. It doesn't have any connection with the main story, more like a new story, but it's pretty good (in a kinky way) and not angsty. I would have rated this lower if it's not for this side story.
