I came for smut but the plot is funnnnnnnnnnnnn! The smut is written well and our MC is so cute!

To maintain the whole misunderstanding about his strength and his unusual background, the author was bound to give MC the inability to properly explain himself and the feeling of 'just let it happen' when it comes time to cause misunderstandings...

... So, I suppose that personality issue is a bit 'sweet-potato'-like, but the outcome from each misunderstanding makes the smut sweeter so I'm enjoying it hahaha

Pretty standard JP rpg yaoi with the usual tropes from both genres, unfortunately including the JP yaoi standard noncon. Other than some stuff that personally bugs me (will list them below), it's actually not that bad. While I would personally put my enjoyment at around 3/5, objectively I can probably put it at a 4 or 4.5. It helps that the TLer did a good job.

  • Normalized noncon/lack of consent as something cute or attractive.
  • Low self esteem 'soft boi' uke that constantly puts himself down.
  • Japanese dialogue, which isn't actually that bad, I've just gotten less used to it so all the "Fwahahah!" stuff just sounds cringy to me now.
  • Everyone thinking the MC is adorable for doing the most basic stuff.
  • Usual "black hair+black eyes is special", this time it's "black hair+black eyes is super sexy".
  • "Humorous" misunderstandings that aren't exactly forced but do feel very awkward.

Not rating this since I'm only 5 chapters in, but there are no reviews so I thought I'd share my initial impression. First 3 chapters are a comedy of errors. Everyone misunderstands each other and it's pretty funny, but I also feel like it's going to get old REALLY fast. Chapter 4 gets smutty and is dub-con, but I figured I'd give it a bit more to see where things go. Chapter 5 is pretty much r*pe and at the end when he repeatedly thinks about how many times he... more>> "cried out for them to stop" it just made the entire chapter leave a sour taste in my mouth. Based on some speculations he made in chapter 5 I'm pretty sure there will be more r*pey threesomes to come (where they continue to disregard his wishes and treat him like an object) and that is decidedly not my cup of tea so I'm bailing on this one. <<less

typical below average JP smut

not much you can say about the writing, its not great, in first person, and dialogue is just lines and lines of quotation.

H content is pretty average too, not too descriptive, majority is just an abundance of sound effects and "fwah! Ah uah ah!" - its also dubcon / r*pe but not written seriously, pretty typical for JP and CN BL.

Plot is subpar, MLs find MC and decide to ask someone they think was trained to be a s*x s*ave to join them as knights (uh... more>> what?) and MC just goes along with everything for no apparent reason (including s*x lol)

a lack of common sense is needed to be able to enjoy anything other than the H, but I doubt anyone is reading this for plot anyway lmao <<less

the ML treats MC like a fragile glass. They don't even let the MC catch a single thief. (Hello?? They believe MC is stronk but banned him from catching a single street thief??).

They don't wanna hear when MC tries to explain why he's doing that. Like they're guilt tripping (?) him. No negotiation.

The noncons, woww. Like, MLs act like they give endless pleasure to MC but not asking whether MC likes it or not.

MC is... maybe because of his growing up environment, he's kind of like an idiot? Forgives everything MLs did to him because of their faces (?), Is he a face-con?

MLs seems to have shame play kink. They like to see MC being embarrassed/ashamed when doing it. Everytime they did this I always winces, like, where's MC's dignity?? Can't you at least let him covers his face/mouth with his hand, ok?

MC seems to has a face filter on 24/7. Everything he does looks cute in other people's eyes.

Dudeee, just have 3 person talk already, talk about what can be done and not.

I really enjoy it 😂😂 there are a lot of misunderstanding and our MC is cute 🤤

Our Mls (yas Mls 🙈) are super cool and I love them

In general this story is enjoyable so you read that you won't regret it 🤩

It is pretty classic JP yaoi novel but it is also good when you want to enjoy different type of genre >v< after all JP yaoi has kind of different vibes because of the routin, plot, characters' different thought process (especially for the mc). It is also easy to get harem/3P or platonic harem (siscon, brocon, friend-zone etc) :3 :3

So yeah I'm going to recommend that for you ~~
