I wish KnoxT would proofread and edit their translations more. This isn't the 1st or 3rd novel-TL from them where each chapter is rife with mistakes. It has come to a point that when I see that the TL is from KnoxT, it turns me off from reading.

I get that they do fan translations and they use MTL but even so, even if they're doing it for the love of BL, there should still be standards to uphold. And frankly, it's really not the readers' responsibility to correct them every... more>> single time.

As for the story, the reason I'm dropping it is because of the subpar writing and the unlikeable ML.

The ML isn't a bad person per se, but the way he's going about with his feelings for MC creeps me out. Mind you, the MC is literally 19 years old while the ML is 28. Such a wide age gap, not to mention the gap in their power & influence, with MC being a newly debuted rising star and the ML being the music director in the company. On top of that, the MC lacks experience and was even shown to have low EQ and being unaware of the intricacies and dynamics of social interactions.

And yet, the ML doesn't seem to have any qualms about wanting to engage in a relationship with MC. No acknowledgement that the MC is too young & too inexperienced. Again, the ML is not evil. He actually does take care of the MC very well, but it's just so uncomfortable reading about him having s*xual thoughts about the MC or wanting to manipulate situations so that he could touch some tofu or something.

I've read stories with wide age gap CPs before and enjoyed some of them too. They were either (A) the older ML is outright a creep and doesn't care about the power dynamics and imbalance in the relationship, or (B) the ML is aware of it and gives the younger MC breathing space and room to consider things properly. Here, it's simply ignored and glossed over as the ML continues with his antics.

And that doesn't sit right with me because the author wants to keep this lighthearted and heartwarming, but such a glaring red flag is left unaddressed. Maybe towards the end, it was mentioned or something but I stopped reading at 80% and I don't see the point of pushing through the remaining 20% when I didn't enjoy the 80% in the first place.

To be honest, the barely edited MTL also shortened my patience for it and I really couldn't find the energy to keep scrolling. <<less

It started off good and the relationship dynamic was fluffy. It just felt flat to me - it had a lot more potential but just when things were starting to pick up, the author just wrapped it up in a paragraph lmao. I guess it’s good for a fluffy read (a nice break from all the angst) but don’t expect anything deep or substantial plot-wise
