Master’s Favorite Hobby Is Standing on the Precipice of Exhilarating Danger and Hopping Up and Down
The Repentance of an Evil Disciple: My Master Was too Delicious

Ten thousand years ago, there was once a sword cultivator named Lord Yunzhen. He caught hold of a little sword spirit with outstanding talent.

Filled with joy, he became a master for the first time, assiduously raising his disciple. He could be called the very model of the profession, so dedicated that it was a little weird.

His disciple found his master so sweet and delicious that his heart turned black, and he became the lord of all demons.

***

The process: all sorts of exhilarating thrills that can’t be described in Jinjiang Literature City.

The result: My account got deleted, and I had to start over.

***

Ten thousand years later, Lu Yunzhen was a broke college student studying computer science. He met a terrifying high-level demon with outstanding talent, who wanted to take him as a master, and wouldn’t take no for an answer.

Mo Changkong acted honest. “I have pure intentions.”
Mo Changkong swore, “I’ll listen to everything you say.”
Mo Changkong was a practiced salesman. “I can slay monsters and demons.”
Mo Changkong guaranteed, “I’d never lust after Master’s beauty.”

Lu Yunzhen believed him!

Then one day, he recovered his memories, and realized his disciple wasn’t a loyal hound, but a possessive freak.

Lu Yunzhen: “???”

Mo Changkong: “Sorry, no returns allowed.”

***

This is the story of a loving master and loyal disciple, who stay that way so long as they’re not in bed. They fight monsters shoulder to shoulder, protect the public, and become heroes of the nation. In bed, well, that’s a different story—pillows and sheets go flying, and they quarrel as lovers do.

Lu Yunzhen: I love the world, it’s happy endings no matter where you go.

Mo Changkong: Master and I are the world.

It's simply not possible for me to be objective about this novel. I adore it.

For people who likes misvil, this one is less dark and more episodic, but it's got all that hurt/comfort mutual obsession loveliness that the author is so SO good at. Had me crying by the first third of the story. Wonderful ride all the way through.

My tagline for it: obsessed x obsessed modern cultivation found family sitcom. Come for the nerd being followed by a devoted puppy, stay for the lesbian bee, the "holy sh*t he... more>> went THAT far?" and the family that tells you you f*cking deserve to be happy, damned it. Spoiler for people who are looking at this because they think it's like 2ha:
Spoiler

It's more or less the anti 2ha.

Yes the first chapter basically speed runs 2ha up to the 2799 steps but basically everywhere meatbun decides to maximize the angst fyn said nope. Cwn thinks he's old and decrepit and a bad person for liking his disciple? Shizun here doesn't have that. Chu Fei thought he was hated. Shizun here doesn't think that. Cwn was crying and suffering after he traded himself for xm? Nope MC had a good time and was just embarrassed about the whole thing. Txj marked cwn with an earring? Shizun has branded Mck's soul over and over again because he's f*cking obsessed. Xm's relationship with txj irrevocably breaks? Not here nope Shidi never lost faith in him and spent ten thousand years searching for ways to prove that Mck was a good person and to have the chance to apologize for not helping him when he was suffering. Cwn feels guilty because something bad happened to Moran and he didn't know until it was too late? Shizun also feels guilt but it is based on Shizun making an active choice that directly damaged their relationship.

It really, really does not feel the same.

Very surprising story by the author of Mistakenly Saving the Villain. Basically scum MC, but I didn't find out he was scum till the end.

Spoiler

MC knew that he was abandoning the villain. MC basically doesn't care about anyone other than ML. His other disciples were accepted to help enrich ML's life. You think MC is a goody two shoes but he's just trying to earn good karma points to help ML.

[collapse]

Villain is vulgar and is vulgar because of the life he endured.

Spoiler

The Villain is a rat demon and the whole cultivation world despises rat demons. So he lives a life of humiliation and being looked down upon. Sound familiar? The plot of Mistakenly Saving the Villain? He goes insane and forces ML to r*pe MC multiple times through heart demons. He hates MC for taking ML away from him.

[collapse]

I was very disappointed in this plot. Author took all the morals from Mistakenly Saving the Villain then decided to tr*sh it and make this story. I feel like it wasn't the villain's fault, but at the same time he did unforgiveable things. I didn't like MC at all. ML is really dumb so I have no opinions on him. *Shrug* <<less

I read this novel and was planning to translate it until I saw that someone else already started, lmao. That's what I get for sitting on it for like six months without making much headway... but on the bright side, now I can re-translate Mistakenly Saving the Villain like I really wanted to.

So this novel wasn't as good as Mistakenly. It really dragged in the middle, but the ending made everything worth it, imho.

Spoiler

The stuff the author said about the sword, the gong, also needing to be handled and controlled by its master brought the gong/shou dynamic farther than it was in Mistakenly. There's no such thing as a pure dom or sub in this world, we all have places where we need to give up power... this was the depth in this novel.

[collapse]

I wanted to translate the novel just for that, but I guess I'll just wait until after Mistakenly.

Spoiler

Also the stuff about the villain pissed me off. Like, there's a qualitative difference between clean things that fall into filth and creatures born from filth, that's what you're saying? What happened to tabula rasa? I felt so bad for the f*cking rat, I just wanted someone to come save him. Like, I need a fanfiction where the deer guy meets him earlier.

[collapse]

Anyway, still worth reading. I wish the author was allowed to write p*rn. <<less

Really enjoying this translation!! Another fun master/disciple pairing from the author of misvil, it doesn't feel all that original yet but that doesn't stop it from being very enjoyable
