This story has a hard to understand narrative. The narrative often jumps from one character to other character. It goes from MC's present to MC's past. There is no clear indication when it happens. So you need to guess each time.

Grammar of translation is also not the best. There are often errors with he and she pronouns.

The plot is more or less standard for this kind of regression story.

The author tries to insert psychological aspects but it is not well executed.

Started off mediocre at best, first 30 chapters were something, very stale.

World building is barebones and nonexistent at times, mana apparently cause monsters to appear any and everywhere even from people's bodies if they don't control it or have too much, like such a s*upid concept.

By far the most boring part of the novel is the MC, I find no characteristic of his noteworthy nor a plus. Doesn't help that a kid can supposedly take on monsters and humans that are super strong. Constantly have the little sister interaction... more>> shoved into our faces like we are supposed to awe over.

Worst of all that finally turned me off was the author turned this in a political farce of a novel, author thinks rich people act like royalty and such, lots of chapters will spend multiple chapters of a party with people standing around like those cheap k dramas waiting for MC to do the slightest of movements so they can say something.

Keep hearing Gift, but author doesn't even elaborate because even they don't know what the gift is, nothing is explained properly.

I could go on and on about this this absolute dumpster fire or a novel but I won't, though if I was forced to read this or Martial God Asura then I rather read MGA cause even though that novel is tr*sh it's less sh*t than this one.

also it takes a hundred chapter just to see our MC graduate as a elementary kid kinda annoying, author should skip some part instead of adding filler

The translation is alright, its readable

But the story took a decline since chapter 90-ish

The main chara feels like become a bit useless at a time even though he really shine in the first couple of chapters or arc, its personal opinion but it doesnt give satisfaction feeling from most of the arc, maybe some of it are just the way to give the novel more depth but it feels like there are ways where the MC doesnt have to be sidelined and be the MC that we deserve

The main strength of this novel is that it manages to combine two common but usually quite distinct subgenres: determined regression protagonist who obsessively pursues strength and the regrets of their past, and the cute emotional healing journey of a protagonist that is reborn into an environment full of love and care. It's lampshaded, but the protagonist has Detective Conan level cursed luck for being caught up in events, which I personally am not a huge fan of. There may eventually be some sort of explanation involving twisted fate or something, but as of now there's a bunch of stuff that just seems incredibly improbable to have happened to the same person. <<less

It's a good story. The main character development is good. It has a well writed storyline. The translation work also superb.

I hope someone will continue translating this gem, as the previous translator dropped this due to personal reason 😭

I personally like it! Other people might disagree but I like the fact that the past and present is jumbled up and sometimes even forgotten cause that's life.
