In a world of shallow-minded, materialistic mortals, what would one from humble beginnings – whose face had been stomped on, spat on, oppressed for the longest while by the arrogant, pampered upper echelons of society – do, when a mysterious application pops up on a brand new phone that was meant to be the birthday gift of an ungrateful girlfriend? What if the application takes the form of a chatroom where its occupants, bearing the names of mythical, fictional beings, start giving out ‘Red Packets’, all the while spouting nonsense?

This novel is just Red Packet Server, but worse. People argue that this came first so it isn't a copy, then you can consider Red Packet Server an improvement of this. They're both nearly as bad as each other though so I would recommend fending them both off with a six foot pole.

I question whether this is a Chinese novel or Japanese novel. Most of the girls have little to no purpose in the novel, just there to join the harem because in this novel more girls = more "awesome"... more>> MC, as if the number of girls that you have are a valuable commodity that shows how much of a man you are. He does bullsh*t violent actions at times and even little orphans girls are praising how awesome the MC is for it. Not to mention the author treats s*x with a blindfold, covering his ears shouting "Lalala". The MC seems to be Japanese as the f**king sky itself will come crashing down just to cockblock the MC.

I have no problems with the MC getting overly op items from deities and it is better than Red Packet Server as he doesn't get whatever he needs one chapter later every time. However it is far worse in comparison to what he gives them. He sells them spicy sticks, not in the packets they come in, but individually, for sky high prices. He literally buys a packet of spicy sticks and sells each stick individually as if each was a national treasure.

This is even worse when these deities, who have been cultivating for anywhere between millennia till the beginning of the world, have the personalities of children. I can understand them showing appreciation toward something new and enticing, but they treat these common confectionary as divine treasures. What happened to the heavenly food full of spiritual Qi and such? The whole setting is so unrealistic it's off putting.

A final point is that if you have read Red Packet Server, you have read this. I say that because the plot lines are almost identical with different names and deities. MC moves his parents to live in his new mansion and has his spirit pet he got from a Red Packet look after them (happened in both novels) face slapping at the jade rock auctions (both) along with many other events. There are changes in some of the details, but the plot lines are almost identical.

It has also now started moving towards the standard chinaXjapan racism. I can read GDW, the king of racism, and enjoy it, but this is just forced plot lines done in the completely wrong way. <<less

At first, I thought that this was the same novel as Red Packet Server, but I was wrong.

It's worse. way worse. I don't know which novel came first but it feels like the Invisible Dragon version of Red Packet Server. And not in a good way. In the first chapter alone, he gets dumped by a bitch for no reason, grows an extra arm and his reaction is I will use this extra arm to get more red packets....

In the beginning, the series was a solid 3.5-4 for me. However as the amount of ridiculously OP items and godly luck kept piling up, the story started losing my interest. Female characters are introduced just for the sake of starting some arc that will inevitably end with said lady added to his harem. Speaking of which, even after having 6 ladies in love with him (some of which openly offer themselves to him), the deed has never been completed due to some equally heaven defying interruption.... every single time.

The... more>> enemies, combat, techniques, cultivation, etc. seem to be there just for the sake of proving how OP the MC is at using objects gifted by the gods... literally.

Even after all that, I could still manage to continue reading. However, at some point the author turns the story into a China vs. Japan, nationalistic garbage. Racism becomes blatant and the MC then becomes the paragon of "China is better".

As others have mentioned, Cultivation Chat Group is incomparably better. <<less

Even if you make a new page to reset the poor reviews...a bad story is still a bad story... all you did was remove all of the positive views that initially were garnered by the story when it first came out...

A ridiculous harem story where women all just randomly fall in love with the MC, leaving you thinking, quite literally "wtf"...

It started with something that sounds like it would have been a great story, but the author just wreaked it. If you literally have nothing to read at all, then... more>> I might suggest looking at this one.

Cultivation Chat Group is like a 1000X better than this story. <<less

I normally don't bother writing a review for novels but I really had to write one for this novel.

Apparently, people in this novel have an on/off switch with their emotions and manners. Either you revere someone and be extra polite or you tell them to f&*k off. No middle ground. OK, not everyone is like that but far too many to be realistic.

MC is literally a human trash. Very narrow minded and unrealistic. So he hates those overbearing young masters when he was poor and being bullied. So what does... more>> he do when he gets rich. Of course, he's gotta join the gang and be one of those trashy people.

Romance is also rather stupid. Actually, it's not really there. Kinda an after thought.

Author really loves his MC. Everything about him is godly and everyone loves him. C'mon now, he was just a poor sob a while ago. Don't turn him into an asshole over the course of one week.

Anyhow, it won't get better, so read on at your own risk. <<less

In this novel, things happen without proper explanation. The MC is instantly adapting (in a very strange way. Emphasis on 'instantly') to all the weird sh*t that happens around him. He 'instantly' knew that the users in the group are actually _THE_ famous deities in legends... Huh? Wot?. That's only the tip of the iceberg.

The way this novel was written could only be described as bad. I tried to read this because the title looked strangely similar to Red Packet Server, so I was expecting it to be... more>> a copy -or the original for all I know- but I was not expecting this level of work. I actually feel sorry for the time I wasted reading this crap.

I'm writing this because I fell into the trap. If you have nothing to do and want to read something, I say any other novel will do but stay away from this one. Even if you want to waste your time, this novel is not a good way to do it. <<less

Perhaps if this novel came out earlier than Red Packet Server, I could give it a higher rating, but unfortunately after reading this and RPS, the similarities and differences between the settings, characters and plots are very obvious. I think the MC is good at adapting, however it's not been written a way acceptable or near to reality. Many times I exclaimed, 'oh, so similar to RPS but a bit rushed, and a bit forced'. For some of reason I can't find the dialogues and interactions interesting. Now I can't... more>> help but think that REGOTTR is a slightly downgraded version of RPS. <<less

Honestly the series itself is not bad. I mean its no master piece but at the same point in time it's not complete retardation, just read it for some mindless fun. The MC is your typical CN web novel MC. Gets looked down and screwed over in the start, then right after he receives a life hack. OFC he figures out what it is in less than 5 min without questioning it, gets op because of it, and runs into a world shattering beauty, whom happens to be from a... more>> super op and wealthy family all in the time span of about a few hours.

Following said events a bunch of mindless fun starts where he gets rich and op and has a bunch of hot chicks, whom happen to be the greatest beauties that every man drools over.

Like I said all in all the story is not that bad. What is bad however is the translations.

Reading the first few chap's and then mtling the rest of the chap's you will notice that the translator decided to make every arrogant young master swear like they know no other words. It just idk brings the novel down a few notches for me. It is not needed and just ruins the experience. Other than that I've seen a few mistakes, but since my grammar is not the best I won't comment on those, but imo it's nothing that a little editing would not be able to take care of, it just makes you wonder if QI actually cares about the quality of their product.

All in all with everything considered I'd give this novel a 2/5. It would have been a 3/5 but the translation and added vocabulary dropped it down to 2. <<less

I forced myself to read up to the last chapter available (11), and it left me disappointed. Everything so far seems unnatural, with already several cliché situations in a few chapters (op items, MC saving the damsel in distress, arrogant young master, luck as high as the heavens).

As it is only the beginning, I can't give less than 2 stars ; maybe it will grow better later. As for myself, I will drop this novel for now.

Honestly, it's got a solid start and the whole idea is just great. I wonder why the score is so slow. Could it be because it's from QI? Well, despite the score, I'm sure a lot of readers would like this, especially those who enjoy harem and like the idea of a chat group full of deities in the modern world. I mean, if you enjoyed Red Packet Server, give this a chance. It's quite similar to it.

It's a fun story about a guy with strangely incredibly good luck. The story's main concept of a chat group giving life changing benefits has been done before, but I don't think that is really a negative myself, I found the story enjoyable to read despite it's cliche points. The quality of translation is extremely high and releases are coming quickly. The main character isn't very deep yet, but I am only twenty five pages in to the story, so I can't really fault the author yet.

For right now, I... more>> would say this story is a strong 3.5 out of 5. <<less
