A simple short story about a Shou and gong. Has comedic undertones... an ok quick read.

I like how the shou is referred to as shou and gong as gong! The ex-boyfriend is called cannonfodder ex boyfriend, haha.

Such lovely story!! The gong and shou, also called gong and shou in the story LMAO are adorable!

The gong is very cunning and tricks the little shou step by step from

The gong is the perfect gong. Hot, handsome, rich and successful, great in bed, great in the kitchen. The little shou had no chance.

This is such a lovely story! ❤️ The story is light-hearted, and the characters' thoughts and actions are refreshingly simple and direct. It's perfect for someone craving sweetness since there is practically no drama.

I particularly enjoy the straightforward (and sometimes awkward) nature of the shou, especially when knowing that this straightforwardness comes from the naivety of a country's bumpkin, not s*upidity. It's really endearing.

The gong is also very good at deceiving (lol), and his dynamic with the shou is entertaining enough. Overall, they make a compatible pair! 😂

Loved it! A short funny fluffy modern story, about a shou, his gong and a cannon-fodder. Yeah, it was funny that the author actually used those terms all through the story. I loved the narrative style: matter-of-fact, on-point, concise and straightforward. This style was perfect because it reflected exactly the thoughts, character and personality of both protagonists, who are decisive and straightforward persons. Cheng Xu is such an adorable shou.

A work place relationship changes one night when our MC heads heartbroken out of the house after finding his current partner cheating. The one night stand that results leads to awkward/intentional misunderstandings. Than it leads to a relationship based only on the physical.

The strength of the humor in this is all in the author's delivery of this story. Everyone in this is dissected down to their basic purpose in the story and called that except in dialogue. The tone of this story is perfect and always leaves me laughing.

I really found the writer's way of narrating the story very funny. Despite being a short Weibo story, the emotions of the protagonists invaded me and I came to appreciate the Gong very much. Luckily the Shou was uncool but brained and made a good decision.

Stumble on to this and I like it. It's a typical story one would find everywhere. But the writing and story and some comedy undertones made it enjoyable.

Both Shou and Gong (was used by the author in the story) have their own personality at least in my standard, that adds a bit making the story livelier.

It's pretty short and a breeze, so I would add this as a nice passing time read kind of type. If you are bored and don't want to read too much drama and going for... more>> something heartfelt warmth. I think this one fits the bill. <<less

A comedic sweet treat, but not diabetic coma sweet.

Shou meets Gong in a bar. They end up f*ck buddies. They reveal that they're co-workers, and as their professional relationship strengthens, so does their buddy status. Things happen that throw them together personally and professionally and help them grow as a genuine couple.

I laughed so hard at some things. One of them had me laughing so hard I cried.

MC, shou Cheng Xu, is a hard working programmer who's in a years long relationship. ML, gong Fu Xingwen, is a playboy director in his 30s. MC first met ML at a meeting. MC's company was trying to win a contract with ML's company.

Later, MC catches his boyfriend cheating and they breakup. MC's depressed and goes to a gay bar. ML picks up MC at the bar and they had s*x. MC didn't think it was good so ditched ML.

ML proceeds to pursue MC through the contract with MC's company... via blackmail and cajoling. MC moves into ML's home, they live together, and become a real couple later.

Yeah my writeup is dry but the author's style is very good. Give the novel a try, I'm 89% sure you'll be glad you did. 👍

The gong, the shou and the cannon fodder- literally what the author named the characters, although their real names were mentioned after a few chapters.

This is really a sweet treat! The shou and the gong's relationship is full of fluff, the shou's not a pushover country bumpkin while the ML is cunning but he's a sweetie. It's so funny how the shou always fell for the ML's antics. (๑ ❛ ڡ ❛ ๑) ❤ The translation is good and also the t/n's funny as well. A good short read! Enjoy!

MC and ML relationship started with s*x buddies which means "pao you" in Chinese, which is "py" and also shorten name for "Python".

A girl in tester group saw "py" in MC' contact and ask him what's does it means and MC said, it's shorten name of "Python Starter Guide"

That's how the title is named and there will be next part the same girl asked how is "py starter guide" and MC said " _______________"
