This novel was quite full-packed. I like the development of leads both their relationship and them as individual. From couple who got their own respective doubts on marriage alliance to loving pair with strong trust.

She was flawed character due to pressure from her country's expectation (as both Princess and only remaining Awakener) but met disappointments due to her initial weak power. At start, many readers might dislike her due to her initial doubts on ML... but for me, it actually understable bc it's initially a marriage alliance for peace & she thought ML got no feelings to her and just acting for his benefits. Honestly, I like her growth. On first few chapters, I was frustrated on her weakness and thought she wasted wasted her 2nd life by not straightforwardly dealing with traitor (her brother). However, she proved me wrong due to her strong will and sane mind (not focus on revenge) by dealing on enemies while saving innocent lives as much as possible. She's actually a very good Empress.

He was a very good and sweet partner to FL. Also, he was caring and doting husband... his only weakness was the FL esp his too much overprotectivess & got Yandere tendencies to her. He got his own insecurities (esp when talking abt loving FL) bc he thought of not being worthy to FL (Princess) bc he's just a previous sIave who overthrew the former Tyrant Emperor.

I like the reason of FL's regression was perfectly explain.

Both of leads were actually regressed. The ML loved the FL for two lifetimes... in first life, the ML became mentally unstable bc he can't protect FL. He killed FL's brother (Dariquit) to avenge and conquer the Arcadia Kingdom. To enter the Silver Forest, he need to be the King of Arcadia and to seek way for FL to be revived (come back to death). However, Silver Forest can't do that... but both leads were given 2nd chances while hoping FL to save the waning power of Goddess.

The ML suffered alot, being sIave for two lifetimes and underwent multiple battles just to be worthy for FL (who he loved and saved him when he was young sIave) :

  • FL: "All of them (scars) were made during the battle? It must have been hard."
  • ML: "It wasn't hard. It was a journey to reach you. To be a man worthy to marry you, it was worth it."

Honestly, this was a good read. Even the supporting characters like villains got depth. Almost all issues were answered and the flow of plot was actually good. Might have some plots but not that noticeable. <<less

The novel is decent. For me, the plot is light and straightforward. There is no unnecessary arc. Both MC and ML goes from overthinking character and liking make some assumptions to being a more honest and communicative person.

The story is quite short and has a lot of fluff going on. It is also not an R19 with smut novel, but certainly, it has a bit of a mature R17 element XD

Loved it! I enjoyed every moment reading it (also due to the great translation of course) and was pretty pleasantly surprised. The FL is really great. She is smart, she is a good person, she is strong and she is honest. The ML is such a cute, respectful guy. He was kinda adorable, being all shy and really respecting her boundaries without seeming pushy ... more>>

The two have great chemistry and a relationship I would actually call healthy (yes, I was shocked as well). They communicate, they are honest, and there were no annoying misunderstanding. Of course there were conflicts, but they just talked about the issues and solved them O.o Pretty refreshing, even though I also like some drama.

Apart from the romance, I also liked that both seemed smart and competent as rulers. I am sometimes a bit bored when the solution to a problem is pretty obvious to the reader but the story spends 20 more chapters until the leads do anything, and when they do the problem often just reapears because they did not deal with it properly. It makes the leads look a bit incompetent sometimes. I did not have that feeling in this story.

So if you like reading about a painfully sweet couple (I really got some cavities when I read about their shy handholding) with a little bit of a fantasy on the side I recommend it. <<less
