Reading this story really makes me want to smile all day long.

Because the story itself is basically quite simple, There are not too many problems to tell other than the main story of FL and ML.

But even so I still have hatred for the author, because there is no clear explanation at all about the real situation of the ML family.

Imagining that they can still live happily and don't get anything in return for what they have done so far, really makes my head hurt every time I remember it.

Idk if it's just my mood but I've been dropping novels for the past few days. It seems like the simple ones don't entertain me anymore.

Tell you what, I find this one boring. I can't be the only one to think of this: no matter how cliche a scene could be, if it's well written then it will naturally make the readers feel something—the same goes for the good or unique scenes, if they're written sloppily or passively then it will come off as wasted. This is... more>> what I feel for the whole thing and I don't have enough patience or energy to spare a few more chapters just to get to the 'good' part everyone is talking about.

But hey, give it a try. You might want to stick with it and find it cute and interesting. <<less

One of my top faves and this story is definitely my fave from Grumpy Crab. It's mostly fluff with melancholic flashbacks. I'm really picky about how the author ties up/fixes the past life in epilogues and it's very satisfying here.

Shen Xi (FL) and Su Hang (ML) are both #1 in miscommunication so some readers may get frustrated especially with Su Hang. The good thing is that Shen Xi tries very hard to fix this in her rebirth.

I have reread this story a handful of times already. It heals my soul... more>> whenever I get mad reading another novel (usually because of badly implemented conflicts about the ML and other women). There are no conflicts like that here. Just pure FL/ML loving. <<less

It's honestly so freaking good (quite emotional and very fluffy). It feels a bit short (bc you don't want to part w/ the characters just yet) but the extras helped a lot to complete everything.
It's a story about miscommunication and what repercussions it can have.
I really liked that Shen Xi (MC) in the original timeline never became a villain towards him and instead tried to actually make it work. As for Su Hang (ML), I want to hit him and tell him to stop being such a s*upid coward and at the same time just give him a hug and tell him that everything is ok. I actually cried during the extra when Su Hang showed that he finally understood his own value and was confident in himself and his love for her.

This was an absolutely amazing read.

I think the best thing about it was the characters. The FL was really well developed, and remarkably mature when compared to some others of the genre. She struggled in the first timeline due to her lack of information but kept on pushing, despite the emotional toll. In the second, she acknowledges the fact that she really didn't put enough effort into connecting with her husband and actually rectifies it.

I also really love how the lack of communication on the ml's part is dealt with... more>> as well. It's what causes a lot of misunderstanding and grief, so he actually learns that he should communicate his desires and how he feels, instead of bottling it up and playing pulling himself away to try and make the FL happy.

Instead of it being accepted as a cute quirk, he actually learns that its okay for him to be a little selfish and the character growth is amazing.

I also love the side characters, particularly the best friend on the fl's side.

She grows around her love and prioritizes herself and her other relationships to a crush, which is frankly surprising and really cool of her. Similarly, the SML does love the FL quite a bit but doesn't force his feeling and backs off when he accepts the fact that she is in love with the ml.

The third Grumpy Crab novel I've read - still satisfied with these stories (though not my favorite).
Though I would have wanted to know what happened to the Su family.
If you are a fan of transmigration stories, you should give this novel a chance.

I don’t usually review novels but trust me when I say you need to read this story right. It’s so so good.

If you’re into the josei genre with slice-of-life, then this is for you.

The ML and FM are so adult and mature. Yes, there were some misunderstandings, but they also get resolve within the same or the next chapter. These FL is a great communicator. Overall, this story is trying to tell you communication is everything!

At the lost, please read chapter one. You will be hooked!

I'm aware second chance novels often have an element of "fantasy" to them, but the mutation inducing jade bracelet? Please!! I don't expect all novels to be completely realistic, but this was such a ridiculous explanation. I'm not denying the possibility of a mutation saving MC, but the fact that it's actually (1) believed to be from the jade's good ore energy and (2) only specifically hit the parts of MC's DNA that contain the genetic disease (not even considering the fact that this mutation would need to hit similar regions of the DNA on ALL the MC's cells that have this diseased sequence is flabbergasting. MC is then in a limbo state where she has the possibility of organ failure, but also it could just never happen... like, excuse me? This plot point isn't resolved? Then before you know it, the novel is over? I'm not someone who demands a HE or BE, but there definitely could've been a better way to write this HE.

Short and fluffy re-do romance novel.

Synopsis was slightly confusing that I had to reread it a couple of times but basically:

Original timeline was a complete fail-misunderstanding relationship between ML and FL for 5 years before FL reincarnated to the day after their marriage. FL tries to probe ML's thought about her after hearing some hints from ML's best friend in the previous timeline at ML's funeral.

I especially liked the ending/short stories where the author showed what happened if ML in both timelines had a swap back on the day of... more>> the crossroads. <<less

In their first life, they got divorced and the husband died on a plane crash. On the day of the funeral, the wife belatedly known that her husband actually loves her.

The thunder clapped and then she went back on the night of their wedding.

This is where she had put on a strong resolve and tried to change their fate of failing marriage by actively communicating and understanding her husband.

I like how it was written. There wasn't much complexities or dog-blood drama. It has a touching backstory that lead up to... more>> the present events. Conflicts weren't exaggerated but the tragic events that surrounded the life of the ML are simply heartbreaking. (Poor baby)

The twist with the extra ending are definitely unique.

The 5 years couple of the past were actually given a chance to change their initial ending of getting a divorce. This is thanks to having the present and past ML swap their bodies.

Although, it's quite regretful that we are not able to see the love of the second FL. There was also not much drabble if their companies in the end were stable. But, I'd have to say that the ML here is very upright and law abiding. No killings involved. (Wow. That's refreshing)

Su Hang has very low self-esteem, but Shen Xi puts in effort to understand him and make him feel more comfortable. The novel flows really well, and I would still reread. I think I was just wishing for more. Not from Shen Xi, but from Su Hang. I think the reason why I still felt a bit unsatisfied was because I wanted to see Su Hang feel more comfortable in his skin, and more of an increase in Su Hang's self-esteem.

Suuper cute BUT

WARNING-----------!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SUPER FRUSTRATING!

You will be so frustrated you would want to pull your hair out, you will want to shake the male lead to make him spit a word of honesty but it's also cute how he overcame that and became confident being with the MC.

This story explains a very realistic thing that happens between crushes, how the lack of communication can make you waste YEARS of your life even if the person you like likes you back, even if that person is married to you.

Another golden from Grumpy Crab, I'm really a fan of Grumpy Crab novel.

The character are made very human with full of emotion.

Through out the story, I can't help thinking that the ML is very very kind. Sometimes silly, sometimes overbearing, and *cough*beast in bed*cough*.

There are many misunderstanding and no communication in the past, so MC try to make it up past regrets.

Damn, whenever I read Grumpy Crab's novels, I always makes sure I have enough tissue near me because she plays with people's heart like a f*cking pro.

All Grumpy Crab novels should be added to people reading list and be read over and over again.

For this novel, she tells about the misunderstanding between a husband and wife. FL finds out after the death of ML that she was the one he had loved all since the beginning. But because our ML is a find of a shy cinnamon moron, he always... more>> runs away and never confess. FL is given the chance of rebirth and throughout the story she learns more about the things she didn't notice from her previous life.

The fluff and love-dovey moments makes you wanna willingly eat dog food and it's worth. <<less

Gosh, I rarely write a review, but this novel is just Gold.

The ML is just such a lovable, selfless, and warm hearted man, he loves the FL so much and secretly does his best for FL's happiness.

As for FL, she actually also a kind and caring person, especially after she found out ML's feeling for her.

This story makes me happy, sad, and touched. It warms my heart as I read it, made me valued people around me more than before. I Totally recommend you all to read it. Trust me,... more>> you won't regret it.

fluttering in my heart happens when I read how the ML is trying to protect MC from ML's stepmother. ;) Better be safe than sorry. The ML blushes like a lot of time. One of the funniest part was when ML pretended for a whole full week that ML is not gonna follow MC to the birthday party.

IS THERE ANYONE MORE ADORKABLE THAN ML???? NO. Expert storytelling weaves a sense of realism and appreciation of the smaller things into a fluffy and feel-good story about a man's wish come true truly becoming a happily ever after.

Oh man, I normally hate stories driven by misunderstandings but this is an exception. The way that ML's character is built and his background explored really lets you understand the way he works. Of course, he's still an idiot, but a forgivable idiot that hurts himself more than others. Her thoughts and... more>> actions are also quite understandable, but again, they're an idiot together.

Technically the ML in this story is as CEO-ish as all the typical ones, but we really see his weaknesses. One bit in the story said it perfectly; anywhere else and in front of anyone else he can be the rich and powerful CEO, but in front of her he always becomes the child covered in mud without a penny to his name. And she sees, and comes to love, "that" him. I love how their relationship comes to be, and especially the bit when he was looking for her to prove their "fate". It's not about who you meet first, but also about who is willing to wait for you. Su Hang was looking for Shen Xi for 10+ years, and now she's waiting for him.

I also love the side characters and their relationships, especially Yun & Shang. I love their ending and their maturity, as well as the realism. And ofc hoping that Li gets a happy ending too! Best cupid (although Fang is also a strong contender). <<less
