Okay haven't rated this because I just can't read it. If you know anything about programming it's like reading a novel by someone who doesn't know sh*t decides to makes quick few google searches then pretends he's an expert.

As for the novel quality can't tell

Review as of chapter 10, story is fun but not yet into the main plot of the story. It is almost MC building up his character chaps, not enough chapter to do some deep review that will really evaluate the novel. I guess this is the type you want to see the development of the story but one thing for sure is the story is interesting it might be like the other reincarnated novel but this one got a charm that might be unique and doesn't have the other novels.

I'm giving this novel 5/5 and it's purely based of the story. In other words translator speed and quality not included.

World building in this story is rather solid and MC struggles to figure out how magic works while creating his own inventions based on popular hollywood movies like ironman and others. In a sense of being unique, you can't really point outanything new or innovative. Has same division of classes, appereance of guilds and nobles just like in a standard western novel and yet due to good pace and plot... more>> it is rather enjoyable read. (2 stars earned)

Main characters are rather unique and has memorable personality. MC is infatuated with Ironman and tries to copy some of his abilities or lines. He is rather calm and doesn't rush to kill anyone. Mostly he's on a defensive side. Female characters has some people with interesting personalities and they can add some good comedy into the mix. Enemies are somehow one dimensional and they don't have much development and try to do one thing that is to make MC suffer or kill him. (2 earned)

Overall ending isn't dissapointing and story isn't dragged out too much. (1 star earned) <<less

The story is approaches the study of magic in a way that someone learning how to program would. You would copy past lines of code (in this case magic characters) and keep trying until it works and then analyze why it worked or what he is missing and get better from there. There is notable comical moments as well.

Spoiler

The story in general is about a weak human being using knowledge and wisdom to carve his path in a magic world instead of brute force. He emphasizes this idea comically in the story as a man.

So I just read this from 0-43 and I got to say. There were some parts that Really, wore me down.

To start off with, at this point in time this feels almost nothing like a Chinese novel to me. It far more feels like s JP novel with some CN terms thrown in. But other than that all intents and purposes JP novel.

The characters are for the most part dull. The only 2 that stand out are the current love intrest and the MC.

The heroin is really annoying most of... more>> the time. Not tsundre annoying but still annoying. Uptill chap 37 she only thought of the MC as useless and needed protecting. And while I can see the reason behind it. It lasted way to long and just got erratating. She has the #1 worse attack I ever heard while this might be a minor

spolir so all I will say is. 'Spinning top'.

She is a money Gruber.

And While this might be considerd a character flaw it is non the less a bad written one. Keeping all the money to her self and when MC asks for any, she has major problems with it at the start of the book. When MC just made them the equivalent of 1million? I don't know exactly what currency. The translator said dollors but it is a Cn novle so it should be RMB I think. Might be getting mixed up with KR currency. But still brings me to my next problem.

MC is s*upid boneless wimp to all things irratating. Can he talk back. Nope, can he make real organic thoughts when it involvs any kind of plot. NOPE. Do we learb anything about him after first 10 chapters... nope. Typical JP template moving on.

There are no other charachter as of. Literally as of now only MC and heroin have been in more than 3 chap. There was slight bad guy for a few chaps. But I already forgot his name. Hell I already forgot MCs name.

Plot.

Well rather typical for most part. Has a few rather "unique" things thrown in. And over all not the best but far from the worst. So good enough for me.

World building.

Not enough to rate as of. Tho as of it is showing good prospects and foundation for a good setting. More than I can ask for with the things I read.

Translation

I can't really judge. From a english only reader. I find that alot of the concepts translate over very well compared to most CN novels and the gramner is good enough to not majory brake flow of the story.

Style. It has a pretty unique style. Because it is a CN novel and not JP there is just enough of a diffrence in troops that it feels fresh. By that I mean wuxia tropes in a jp reincarnation novel. The story is trying to be light hearted and succeeds some what. All the elements are there. Just for some reason does not feel the same to me.

Final verdict. Meh

If you like other genetic JP you wil like this. If you hate them you won't like this. If you are on the fence like me. Give it a read as of the most recent chapters alot of my problems I can see being fixed to some extent in some way. So I suggest reading as far as you can. If it gets any worse then I am going to drop it. If it gets better like think it is. Will be worth the read. <<less

To give a summary of what this novel is about, the MC who was a hacker dies and when he wakes up, he is in the body of a level 2 magician boy (closer to cultivation level than gaming level). The body of the boy is weak and frail and he has a girlfriend who is his master's daughter who is a level 2 swordsman.

He starts out in an incident where he is being harassed by a competitor to force him out of the magic store business. The MC uses... more>> his programming knowledge to help improve his magic and create magic scrolls faster. (Unfortunately the author does not seem to actually have any understanding of programming and it is portrayed more like you see on TV than reality)

Then MC makes a IronMan outfit and names himself Tony Stark as an alternative identity. (he also gets an AI which handles operation and he names it after Ironman's AI).

Overall it is a typical XianXia where MC rubs some people the wrong way for one reason and another and MC ends up killing them. It is though a bit unique in sense of the MC being a magician and not a fighter and the whole secret identity as a magic warrior. But other than that it is a XianXia in European medieval setting.

One of the biggest issues is the MC takes the whole thing as a joke. He is more focused on looking cool with his armor then actually doing anything.

Also to correct some people, this is nothing like a JP novel. Just because it takes place in a European setting and has magic does not make it a JP. It is a CN novel through and through. The MC is also not a wimp either, I mean he kills people without issues. The only thing he gets wimpy about is that he gets "henpecked" by his girlfriend. Other than that, the guy has no issue even stabbing himself without complaining one bit.

Even 77 chapters in it is kind of hard to say where the goal is as the MC isn't particularly aiming for anything. But he is already going out of his way to make it difficult for himself by claiming he is the contact for his alternate identity. Thus he is going to be forced to now juggle identities for reasons I don't understand why.

So far this isn't a novel about getting stronger or anything, its about a child who wants to look like a superhero while pissing off people in a typical xianxia fashion. They even have ridiculous scenes where MC comes into the house with 2 swordsman who want to kill him and he goes "give me a second" and walks upstairs and somehow has time to put on his armor and face them before they catch up and knock down his house...

To be honest, this feels like an English Cartoon written by a CN XianXia author. <<less

Ahhh...

This starts out pretty good (has potential), then slowly does dumb things, mostly chunni nonsense. It never exactly gets 'too bad', but I can easily people dropping this when the writer pulls some of his shenanigans...

The Good:

  • Somewhat entertaining
  • MC is mostly likable
  • Introduces custom world-building
The BAD:

  • Very illogical, chunni
  • Actually blatantly steals 'Iron-man' & 'Tony Stark' as image concepts for entirely too much of the plot (ongoing)
  • Occasionally breaks common sense, physics, logic, & math to force plot
  • MC is an idiot most of the time to force plot
  • Random powerful people suddenly become evil to force plot
  • Characters change goals suddenly to force plot
  • So much forced plot
  • Irritating FL. Hell, everyone is a caricature of some sort...
  • Most 'hacking'/computer knowledge is 'off' or very wrong
  • Initial setup (Earth plot) unresolved.
The Different:

  • Copyright violation?
If you can get past the weak bits (maybe think of it as some teen-agers first or second story- it likely is), then maybe you'll find parts of it amusing.

Don't expect too much, though... <<less

Novel suffers from eight grade syndrome that's the major reason I'm dropping it. Beside that:

+ good solid wordbuilding

+ interesting and almost original concept (look up Rick Cook Wizardy series it's the same basic idea) about how the magic works

- interaction between people is on level of ten 8 years old

- villains are idiots with no self-respect

I really wanted to like this story. I felt that there was a lot of potential in the characters, and I'd hoped that a CN rendition of a JP isekai storyline would man-up the MC beyond an endless beta herbavore.

Well, I was right and wrong. CN novels bring in their own tropes that can be a pain in the arse. Total ignorance of science, technology, or even basic highschool physics or logic - or in this case: programming and computer science - make it extremely painful to read if... more>> you have any knowledge on the subject at hand. But even working past that, the characters are simply idiots that wear you down by selfish, foolish, inconsistent and blatantly plot-armored decisions that suck the enjoyment out of the story. My score steadily dropped from a 5 star to the current 1 star as the trainwreck piled up.

Best way to enjoy this story? The worldbuilding is good, and the magic / crafting is semi-original, so simply take the background and write your own damn story with reasonable characters, or even the same characters making reasonable decisions. The author clearly put a lot more work and originality in to the worldbuilding then most do, but is lamentably bad at writing people. <<less

Chinese novels with the usual 'ancestor taking revenge for young master' trope with our wannabe Iron Man MC. For the sake of MC other character intellect has been toned down.... this would be fine but MC isnt much bright either. I found this really fraustrating to read.

Unlike some other reviews, I think the MC is quite faithful to the hacker persona. He likes coding but that is not his best talent. Given the fact our hacker MC died while trying to fend off enemy black hats it should be obvious his ability to code is somewhat subpar. The MC even admits he was forced to learn coding so he's not very good at self-study. To the people complaining about the MC's level of coding skill... Well DUH.

What the MC likes is analyzing and disassembling. He wants... more>> to use code to make junk into a masterpiece of ingenuity. If you look up the definition of "hacker" that is the true origin of the modern term. He's not just a guy who makes viruses for a living. That's what's called a cracker or security hacker.

Unfortunately, there is still a problem with this novel. The author tends to forget details and randomly adds them later. As things progress the additions and retcons have become increasingly blatant and annoying. By this point in the novel it is disrupting the flow of the story. It's already a major issue so I have a feeling it won't get any better as the novel progresses. I'm going to drop it @ chapter 70. <<less

Enjoyable read. Still amused after 20 chapters. Probably will be good enough to finish it. New characters that appear are interesting and intriguing.

Read till 142, gonna let more chapters stew before continuing to read a year later. Still enjoyable read.

Everyone in this novel seems to be quite s*upid. The villains are dedicated to evil for evil's sake, the protagonist is obsessed with being a superhero including having a secret identity (when there's never a reason for him to hide it), the other side characters including harem members are just way too naive. If he just wanted to make it like an old-style American superhero cartoon, that would be fine, but this "superhero" casually kills people and constantly does dumb things.

There are some funny parts, but there are more parts... more>> that are just annoying. <<less

Funny premise, OK characters and massive Chuunibyou cringe. The author admires Iron Man to the point it's annoying. The characters are dumb as rocks and writing is sub par. How can people be so Godd@mn s*upid?

Funny too that the author constantly refers to 7 magic elements while listing 8.

Terrible writting, constant breaking 4th walls and lowest iq ever seen in cn.

Spoiler

Each character is a trope and none are done well. MC is a fool an idiot and a selfish prick. World had hope but humans wasted the entire story.

Even worldbuilding is superficial and make no sense after knowing the empires names.

The main character of this novel is presented as a genius hacker transmigrated in a magical world. Unfortunately, the author transformed this genius in a dumb s*upid idiot youth (yes three adjectives are needed).

The author use brute force methods to solve problems and does not know how to make use of the universe he/she created.

This is a loss because this universe seems nicely done. The s*upidity of the MC destroys everything.

It is a decent read, a webnovel to pass the time. However, for some reason the story focused on a fight with a puppet for many chapters, there was nothing special about the puppet. The characters fighting the puppet are improving their fighting skills, but are not powering up compare to how the puppet as been the focus. As of now, the puppet has had more appearances than many other characters and has also been the most "developed" character besides the MC.

The story is pretty poorly researched.

The author seems to absolutely love spinning attacks and has the other characters act like they're mesmerised by it.

The "programming" that is talked about in the novel is a joke.

The author also seems to be completely in love with iron man and seems slightly like he's trying to convert his mage MC into iron man powered by magic.

Overall, 3/5 story, 10/5 cringe read if you like stuff like eighth grade syndrome.

The way I see the story progresses including the foreshadowing, it's like the MC is trying to replicate Iron Man in this fantasy world. The creation of his Hero persona is also the same as Tony Stark. You know when he was kidnapped to make a rocket, only to make the Iron Man suit. Here, the MC does the same using an old armor and some vases.
