To clarify, the novel isn't as terrible as what the ratings show. As I am writing this, the ratings are 3.4/5 which is quite low. I wrote this review in order to help readers give this novel a chance because in all honesty, it really isn't that bad to begin with.

To start, this novel can be regarded as a harem. Du Chengli's (Mc) soul split during his missions across different planets/worlds but he merges it all after completing all the... more>> missions he has accomplished. MC goes back into those planets/worlds in order to improve his weakened strength and reunite with the father of his baby.

I'm saying 'can be a harem' because before the reveal that the ML's were in fact just one (technically not a harem because they become merged), there was no proper indication that the lovers from his different soul fragments were related to eachother.

After reading the summary you might assume for Du Chenglin to be a cowardly scum, like most harem novels, where the Main characters don't clarify their relationships with their partners which causes a rift or misunderstandings in their relationship or don't explain to their significant other their past because they're scared of how powerful the are. However, Du Chenglum isn't like that. He tries to explain his situation (the merging himself into one after his mission) to each partner his soul fragments had and apologises to them.

Meanwhile the Male Leads are quite different from the stereotypical cold, black-bellied, super protective, rich gongs. So far they (MLs) are quite expressive and open with their feelings especially to Du Chenglin; they try to restrain themselves in bed (no s*x just sleeping beside eachother) and spoil MC to no end.

Overall, 4.4/5. A lot of it's themes and parts of the novels aren't original but quite unique. <<less

I don't know why there are so many bad ratings?? Give it a five stars to push it up a little~ I can't give a rating yet bc I didn't finish, but I definitely think it'd deserve no less than 4 stars!

MC is only in the first world, and there seems to be so much drama and stuff happening haha I love how devoted MC is/wants to be~

reading this first arc, made me so torn~ we will have so many different MLs (Eight?) who will then merge into one. With all these different personalities, how will ML look like in the end hahah

but yeah, I was so torn between the emperor and the pirate guy!! They both loved MC so much, but now they have to worry and share MC! As a reader, we know they are essentially the same person, but they perceive themselves as individuals so..!!! Ahh them fighting over being the father of the child did, made my heart clench a little QAQ

One small thing tho, they introduced the crown prince in the beginning, the adopted son of MC who recognized MC first, but he never appeared again until what I've read??? Like, either author forgot about him or MC did, the latter would be even sadder QvQ he was so happy to see MC again ahdksjs even after MC regained part of his memories, he never thought about what to do with the adopted son?? Just a small thing, that may be a small plot hole

The ratings are misleading, but the novel is not as bad as it appears. I don't know why there are so many bad ratings. The story is quite good and I have read all the way up until chapter 42. There will be many dramas because MC needs to find ML's soul. I am hoping that the translator continues to translate this novel as I can't find another translation.
