Written like a slice of life novel. It's written well and I like the story. But personally, it's just not my cup of tea

Great start! The progress of the history is slow giving the reader a good understanding of the characters.

This has potential to be very nuanced adventure/fantasy jianghu in modern day type of story. However, the trans were never completed and it makes you wonder.... If it's because of what will come to pass is absolute meandering bs (?) Bc according to all of the reviews from people who completed this novel, it goes downhill so fast.

Honestly, it would have been epic if he did stay in the village the whole time and created a sect where he eventually goes to the city to work/help/fight evil idk. The story is about a boy who is self-taught on cultivation. It is the adventures of his life. Mostly about mundane things that should be boring but somehow, I found it pleasant and calming to read.
