Su Tang crossed over into an unknown dynasty and found the original body owner’s skinny little brother crying beside her.

Their parents passed away and left behind a small restaurant. She finally established herself in the Capital after she joined a cooking competition with her prominent skill in cooking.

She had a habit of giving out a lot of food every day before closing her restaurant.

The Marquis, who has been very picky about food, doesn’t know how many meals he had from her.

Su Tang slowly discovered that there seemed to be more and more people coming to her restaurant.

The young spoiled masters, mistresses, and young military officers all of them can’t resist coming to eat every day.

All the people who ate her food praised her cooking!

Su Tang just wants to stay in the restaurant while lying around enjoying the sun, reading books, and being a little chef.

But the handsome Marquis kept looking at her strangely.

What I think that likable is Su Tang personality. Eloquent but not rude, Not greedy but doesn't let ppl take advantage of her, hardworking in order to become salted fish later. Also

There's some conflict like other ancient novel but solvable. Its not irritable as I hate too much drama. Its good just to add spice.

Love hmm.. I can see she doesn't have interest in tht yet. That's also one of the point I like.

Another story not to read on an empty stomach. I like that MC is mellow but will stand up for herself and her brother. Fabulous food descriptions. Am also enjoying how ML is being thwarted in his romantic pursuit, she wants to live a peaceful life and he is too high profile, lol.

i love this! It’s so fun reading up on different food and seeing MC slowly introduce them in ancient times (big thanks to the translator for even including pictures). MC is quite lovable too, she’s just out there living her best life cooking whatever she wants. She’s smart and strong— but not arrogant nor is she picking unnecessary fights. She tries to stand on her own but also knows how to accept help.

so far, it’s a pretty good story worth checking out (but beware, all the food might make you... more>> hungry ^^) <<less

So far it seems to be more of a simple slice of life story that mainly focuses on food, which is what I like, especially when it's in a historical setting. I also appreciate the pictures of the dishes that are included, I like being able to see what they were talking about in the chapter. Might feel a little slow for some people but that should be expected I think since it's more slice of life, and there are only 15 chapters out.

Relaxing, fluffy, easy, heartwarming read. Chef videoblogger FL transmigrates to an ancient China era where she introduces new cuisines and dishes and creates her own happy fate.

My favourite part was her generosity as an employer, and the friends she gathers around her. It's more of a slice-of-life story, villains are handled quickly, the FL is basically a foodie with a good heart.

It's not too bad really, just the Mary Sue halo shining through and through. Everything she does is successful, everything she says is a wonder. She's not greedy for fame or fortune, she's sweet, helpful, kind yet not annoyingly so to let others trample on her. She's more saint than human.

I've read all the way up to chapter 63 part 2. It's a really good story that makes the stomach ache with hunger. The romance is slowly growing. It's an adorable food and I want to try some of the recipes lol. I'm enjoying it. If you're patient and like a slowly built romance than this is one I would recommend.

Personal bias, I love food fics and this is about food. The good thing here is that the "food" part of the story is delivered 'nicely' ("simplified steps" w/o cheats. So food doesn't just magic out of kitchen.) and 'logically' (refer Strange World Little Cooking Saint on how bad tasting food is supposedly good or No.1 Chef in the Martial Arts World on how a grain of rice can cause people to go crazy for illogical).

This is a smooth sailing story with almost no drama. Even if there is, the antagonists are very super quickly removed and destroyed.

The romance between the FL and ML is the only saving grace imo. Its a very interesting premise where the FL who dislikes trouble knows that her status is not appropriate to be with the ML and so she struggles to not fall into his clutches but ML still courts her anyway.

Other than the romance, its actually a really boring read to me. The food is great but... more>> that’s it.

It is just too smooth sailing and most of FL’s problems are solved by the ML.

In fact, the translator is who saved the story as their photos of the food makes the story worth reading. When I MTLed it; it was even more boring without the food pics.

Giving it a rating of 3.5 for the story.

5 for the translation.

I like the book so far I’m only on 32 so I can’t really review the entirety of the book. I will say this book is written very nicely and the site that I’m reading it off actually shows the dishes being made so make sure you’re not hungry when eating this. The only complaint I have is how loose lipped the MC is.... more>>

I understand she wants to spread recipes to this version of China but I feel like she does it way to often regardless of her peers telling her to not do so. If it was me in this situation I would not spread these recipes especially if you’re trying to blend in.. Also like the people in the book say she’s literally losing so much money by doing this.

Don't read while hungry! A somewhat mindless but cute novel. The last 1/3 of the novel goes away from the food exposition and tries to do more plot and romance related things which I didn't like as much. However, I did really enjoy the first parts.

My favorite aspect of the novel is that by and large the people in power don't abuse it and cause trouble for her. It's refreshing to see an emperor that is mostly just a normal kid.

It's not fully translated but the last half or so of the novel is easy to read through MTL and that's coming from a picky reader.
