If you can push through Volume 1 the Translation does become readable.

Biggest issue is again 100% with the main character who's behavior is inconsistent.

    1. He wants s*aves, but even after he has them he can't control them cause he has no spine to speak up. He just stutters trying to say something while everyone just forces what they want on him.
    1. One moment he is caring with "I love you", but next ??? Do they like me, I don't know if they care about me... boohoo boohoo Pick a direction and... more>> stick with it...
    1. He actually tries to preach to the Hero how to understand his girls and give them the attention they want, and that he should love and cherish them, but then he only gives minimal attention 2 of the 5 s*aves, they other 3 are left to the way side. He only truly seems to affectionately care about 1 of them. HYPOCRITE......

      The one girl that fell for him first is left in dark with no affection, the little angry one actually gets more attention than her and gets no affection, and the last s*ave he goes full pe*vert acting like a 10 year old always trying to feel her up instead of giving her real attention.
    1. His lack of communication with people is 85% of the drama in this series and the other 15% is him being a doormat where everyone just walks over him.
    1. All his other skills level quick but as soon as he starts cooking his cooking skill never goes up why??
The story would be so much better if he actually treated all the girls the same and tried to make all their lives happy and brought out the harem romance, but I don't foresee it happening. <<less

The current translator for this series "Austin crus translation" isn't doing this novel justice. Its lacking Editing, Glossary for optimum Name Translations.... Its seriously bad. EDIT (6-14-2020) : Its gotten a bit better with succeeding chapters, but there are still grammatical errors here and there. If it irks you that much though, wait until he actually finalizes his edits on all the chapters he has released. Hopefully he cleans and edits all the previous chapters

Its a slow life for our MC, really, and him gaining a harem through s*aves. He's not the typical hero of "LETS GET STRONGER!" but instead finds his way to them through his kind gestures and albeit, laid back personality. As mentioned above, its pretty cliche'd but its a decent read.

The story progresses with him meeting up with several people, and being dragged into events/story progression. Although because of his nature, he'll always stick to inside a safe environment more than actually "adventuring".

Currently he has one milf-y s*ave girl, and a ninja cat girl. And living in a house.

The (Ganbou) part of the title is important.

By no means is this protagonist going to be able to live his slow life. Every time he thinks he can relax, something important (to him) comes up and he has to work his bu*t off to make sure it turns out well. In the meantime he makes the world a little bit better for himself and the people around him and fulfills his desires. He's also not really weak, just not motivated to fight. So he has s*aves. And strong friends that... more>> he can help with his crafting.

Warnings:

  • Game system isekai
  • s*ave harem (lots of friends who aren't s*aves though and not all women belong to protagonist)
  • Graphic cooking descriptions
  • Mofumofu
  • lolis (but not lo*icon, and not involved in the next warning)
  • s*x (not described, but it happens and that kind of topic comes up a lot in conversation)
  • Tournament arc (protagonist is not fighting)
  • Hot springs arc
  • Orphanage arc (+ festival arc at the same time)

Please, do yourself a favor and don't read this bullsh*t even if you have free time, there are a lot of isekai that are average but this is just too bad for that.

Let's talk about characters, here we have 4 kind of character:

-The MC: one of the worst i've read, he is the kind of guy that is just too "good" that you may think he is just s*upid or has brain damage. Literally someone tried to kill him and he risked lifetime s*avery to save her just because he... more>> is a simp

-harem: there are 5 girls, you are going to forget 3 of them because MC send them to work while he is doing anything and when they are not working you couldn't care less about them. The other 2 are cat girl who is more like a kid and wendy which is pretty nice but looks like MC is gay so he won't touch her even if she begged for that. They should seriously remove harem tag

-supportive extra character: seems like MC is really good talking because people just love him with a couple of words. The hero saved him and become his best friend because they talked once (even send magical items and precious minerals for free), the teacher is willing to fight anyone for MC even if they just meet last night, alave merchant found him feeding a s*ave on the street (which is not allowed) and now he is the support of MC, and so on

-villian: they are ugly as on every novel, you are going to forget them

I'm a fan of this, yes it's another fairly typical Isekai, but I like Isekai! The translation is a little rough, but the meaning is conveyed well, and it's clear the translator is learning/improving.

Not sure what to say about this story. I mean first off the MC is given the choice to pick whatever skills he wants from the skills offered by the goddess and get a unique skill. So before even asking the goddess what kind of world it is he decides he wants to live the slow peaceful life and therefore picks all his skills to be production skills except space magic so he can use storage magic and easily carry stuff around, oh and because he doesn't wanna work he... more>> picks a unique skill that gives him X money based on his lvl every day.

So to start of he's picked only work related skills and then picks a unqiue skill so that he never ever has to work again. Off to a great start. Then shortly after reincarnating he decides he wants to start a harem but do to that he needs to get money so he starts working to make money buy producing and selling potions.

Then some random adventurers at the guild he's selling his potions at get's mad and starts a fight with the MC after which they break some of the potions and the MC then demands money for them but the ppl have no money so then two beautiful adventurers, who has nothing to do with what happened or the ppl that the MC was oogling before, shows up and offers to pay for the potions, again for no reason, and the way to pay for the potion is to become the MC's s*aves because??? It's even mentioned the pair has a lot of money and are very successful and strong adventurers but the big busty girl wants to make things right so she can't just pay the MC for the damage and instead has to become his s*ave for life and the other girl also has to become his s*ave because she wants to protect her friend.

So now the MC has gotten two top tier s*aves for almost nothing and for the weirdest reason I've ever read in an isekai story, random girl wants to make it up to MC for random stuff some other random dude did and has nothing to do with random girl while 2nd random girl wants to protect the random girl so now both of them becomes the MC's s*ave harem. Oh and random girl also offers to spread her legs in the s*ave contract for no reason at all except for again she wants to make it up to the MC. Their the two girls on the cover.

This is pretty much the premise of the story and the first like 3-4 chapters into it. Now I guess this shouls be humour? But instead the MC just seems like a total a-hole by forcing a pair of girl to become his s*aves because he lost a bit of money and even treats them badly. I've also read some complaining about the beastgirl who also became a s*ave to protect her airheaded friend from the MC but I honestly have no idea where the MC thinks he can act the way he does.

In short this story would be okey if the MC was evil or at least portrayed as being evil but instead the author keeps pushing for him being a nice guy just trying to have fun and live a slow adventur life while he acts like he does and weird stuff happens for whatever reason and the plot is pretty much just the MC gathering a s*ave harem to sleep with and getting richer. <<less

This is a standard isekai harem story. There's nothing remarkable about either in a good sense or in a bad sense, which means if you're looking for a moderately enjoyable isekai harem story to read this one will probably suffice.

On the translation side though, volume 1 is very difficult to understand. It gets better in volume 2 so if you can push though that first volume know there is light at the end of the tunnel.
