Not bad, not good.

This type of novel has started to become famous and you often see similar ones on this website as well. This one doesn't really do anything too different than those novels, nor are the characters and the world all that amazing, different or unique. But on the other hand, it isn't too bad as well, so if you wish to kill some time while reading an OP main character with disciples who love him, well, then give it a read.

Beware that you should not go in expecting... more>> anything deep, or you will be disappointed. Take it as what it is, just some time killer. <<less

Typical novel, but different plots are smash together like (invisibility in my house type, invisible after having disciples and limitless Op Mc). But the best thing about this novel is Unique characters especially the disciples and MC, MC not being a blockhead and dense is very refreshing read.

One setback is I only found one source to read this and its paid after 104 till 600+ a bit Sad not being able to read it.😅

MC is evil for no reason. He destroys entire sects because like 5 people tried to kill his disciple. He did that twice so far. Then, when a super strong ruler comes out and tries to talk to the MC as an equal, not even being that rude, the MC demands that he kneels before him. When he refuses the MC tries to kill him. This guy not only did nothing wrong but he didn't even make h**ny comments towards the mc's disciples. The only reason the MC doesn't kill... more>> him is because the personification of the Dao tells him to not kill the guy. In which the MC calls the Dao weak, threatens it, and only agrees to not kill the guy cuz the Dao would throw him to the upper dimension. This MC sucks. He is blatantly sexist. Every person in this story is either a bad guy, a pretty girl, or a coward who worships the MC. This sucks, even as a garbage can for wish fulfillment novels I dislike this. <<less

MC is op till the last fight (he only struggles a bit in the last fight.)

The concept is well executed with an invincible domain as the core of the story.

MC is not a total low-key person, rather he is high-key type but with the cover of mystery. He takes action a lot to farm points in the guise of supporting his disciples.

... more>> Not much filler to skip in the story.

There's harem and there are kids in the end chapter but the romance part is dog shit.

The conclusion is not overdone or rushed but the concept is kinda meh. It could have been done better.

A 3.5 rating for the novel but 0.5 for romance. <<less

My assessment is suspicious since I like this type of story where there is a master who has his own disciples, I even tried to read the rest of the story (c825) using Google translate.

The author predicts that the work will end in chapter 1000 and that the next major arc will be the last and I agree because the level of power is already so extreme that if more dividing layers of powers are added the story will lose its meaning.

The Protagonist, as in other works of the same... more>> genre, manages to fight several kingdoms above his own kingdom and this disparity throughout the work only increases without ever decreasing.

The work also becomes more relaxed and with jokes added more frequently from chapter 150+-

The Work also has a harem but this harem is not one that disappoints me or leaves me disgusted or irritated, in addition to there being no arc for the harem, it is well distributed containing 1 to 3 chapters at most to develop the harem each time. Big arc and blended with everyday life. The motivation to create a relationship with the protagonist is different for each person, from their appearance, power, having been saved, living alongside the protagonist for hundreds to thousands of years, to having a sponsor who helps them avoid dangers., there are others but they are quite varied. Several women were rejected by the protagonist and he himself says that he is not interested in a harem but it simply happens naturally, after all, there is no shortage of time to nurture feelings since they are immortal.

There are only 4 problems that I see in this work.

1-when you reach the "immortal" kingdom you ascend to the superior kingdom by going through the tribulation but this only happens at this level, after that you can just go from one kingdom to the other passing through the void. This suggests that the author gave up on the idea of "higher kingdoms" for "planets with different levels of resources and forces". It's a good change but it makes Ascension irrelevant since it doesn't exist in other worlds.

2-the protagonist is already at a level where the laws of heaven and earth, death, life, spirit, time etc. Are all under his control but the author still wants to add a probable enemy of equal or higher level to the protagonist, a battle with this type of level it seems impossible to write and a higher level seems even more impossible to even imagine. In my opinion, the only way to increase the level even further would be with parallel universes or levels of universe similar and comparative to realms like in the work Wo Zhai Le Bai Nian Chumen Yi Wudi (of which I also read 817 chapters). So I believe the author exaggerated this.

3-Some things are not said in the work and they just happen in the background, for example, several large and small arcs after having already conquered a certain place and acquired the highest level of labor possible in that place and hundreds of years have passed. Passed, it is only briefly mentioned that the protagonist gave lower level techniques to himself and his disciples but still suitable to those people who serve him, this is a big event given the level of the techniques but it was only mentioned.

4-the work is very long so I don't blame the author for forgetting some parts, but there is a character who is alive and dead at the same time and I don't know what happened to him now that he found his own grave.

-

Google Translate made some mistakes but I ignored them and managed to enjoy reading, obviously if the work was rubbish or unreadable I wouldn't have read more than 800 chapters.

The 5th problem but not least, it's been 4 months since the author wrote a new chapter, I'm a little thirsty here so please give me some water. <<less

It's alright. It's not on the level of History Number 1 Founder or My disciples Are All Villains when it comes to storytelling and depth of characters but it's still an okay read. But I personally quickly got bored since there is basically no challenge to him. He is invincible. To make a story with such a protagonist interesting you need heavy setbacks like he'll die soon or he has to cultivate by himself and not depend on system. But everything is handed over to him. Also I'm not a... more>> big fan of the whole sub-romance/flirting thing as well. Especially when author think nose bleeding because you see some edge or revealed skin is funny. <<less

So, my actual review of this series would be 4 star for the actual plot.

For a cultivation series with a system, it's honestly surprisingly good. It's definitely not the best out there, but it's honestly surprisingly good. And it has a surprisingly good translation as well that's way more complete than this site lists currently. (as-in, it's actually completely translated.)

It's a pretty generic OP MC cultivation series, but with honestly pretty entertaining characters, and a main group who are honestly really fun. Especially the "... more>>

eradicating an entire force, then looting them, then cremating them and sending them on their way

" thing, which is a constant recurring "gag" so to speak. There overall isn't much bad to say about the overall main plot - It's pretty much what you should be expecting from a cultivation series.

However.... there's one MAJOR issue that drags this series down. And that is the absurdly badly written romance.

See that early romance tag over there? Yeah, that's a lie. Sure, there's a lot of elements of "MC's first disciple loves him" in the first bit of the story. But this is exactly WHY it's so terrible. So, we know that Yanran, MC's first disciple, is in love with MC. And we also know that MC... is attracted to her. Both of these points are made very, very apparent within the first like 10-20 chapters. But then... nothing. happens. for. hundreds. of. chapters.

But... that's only between the 2 of them. Which makes this even worse.

Spoiler

Within the first world, MC ends up finding some random dragon girl, who he basically immediately does the deed with upon meeting her, despite his disciple having already confessed to him at this point (at least I'm pretty sure that was after that...), and him having done absolutely nothing with her. So we now know that MC isn't some as*xual non-romantic MC like so many cultivation MCs are. And then, we fast forward to like chapter 300, and MC basically lets himself get drugged by his 3rd disciple, and then his system enhances the drugs, and so he does it with his 3rd disciple. Again, he still hasn't done anything with his 1st disciple, despite her having confessed to him, him being fully aware of her feelings, him being attracted to her, and him having basically only not done anything with her because she was his disciple. So, now, he's already crossed that line. So, you're thinking, ok, he's totally going to finally accept his relationship with her, right? Nope. Fast forward to chapter 490-ish. FINALLY. FINALLY she confesses again, and he agrees. They arrange a wedding. Everything is going well. And then... random plot BS happens and they have to deal with enemies. And afterwards... he's still totally fine with it, but SHE, despite her entire plot so far being her desire to marry him, says she doesn't want to do it yet. That's right. 500ish chapters later, they finally decide to get married, and then cancel it within 5 chapters. This is a romance that has been blatantly obviously mutual since pretty much the first 10 chapters of the series. And this is where I decided to drop it, because I just couldn't take it anymore. Especially since it feels like the author is getting ready for a 3rd girl to beat her to it now. And from chapter titles, it looks like there's probably no notable progress in their relationship for the next 100 chapters. So... 600 chapters to advance a relationship that was obvious from literally the start of the series. And the only "reason" given after MC accepts it, is already proven to actually be the opposite - She wants to get stronger so she won't need to rely so much on MC... but from both of his previous relationships, it's confirmed that "doing it" with him literally gives you multiple small realms of cultivation progress from a single session, which is arguably faster than even MC's cheat system usually is. This is honestly a 3.5-4/5 series, that is utterly ruined by a 0.1/5 romance that suffers from the single issue of "author refuses to commit for literally no reason.".

[collapse]

This series would've honestly been WAY better if the romance just didn't exist, or had been properly handled and then tossed to the side and forgotten about, rather than just... "constantly mentioned and brought up, but never committed to until near the end." It's like those series where the MC's wife/girlfriend/fiance is kidnapped by their family for half/all of the story, but without the kidnapping. It's just frustrating for absolutely no reason. Especially since we, as the readers, know there's absolutely zero reason to delay it, as there's no benefit to doing that.

So yeah. If you can ignore the terrible romance, or don't mind it, honestly it's on the upper end of cultivation series, though the plot does feel a little fast after

the first world

, but overall, it's pretty good. But if, like me, you just can't stand terribly written non-committal romances, that are actually notable parts of the plot, stay away. I don't regret reading almost 500 chapters of this, but I just can't see myself being able to enjoy it further at this point, due to my personal tastes and, well, experience as both a reader and writer myself. I'll never understand why writers think that plotlines that do literally nothing but frustrate your readers are good ideas - There's a difference between "cliffhangers and other such "reasons to keep reading"" and "simply frustrating plotlines". The romances here... are definitely the latter. <<less
