On the day Jiang Zhao won the Golden Orchid Award for Best Actor, the reporter who interviewed him offstage deliberately asked:

“I heard that you and Mr. Xiao Siye, the former film star, are brothers in the Film Academy. How is the relationship between the two of you?”

The whole entertainment circle knows that Jiang Zhao and Xiao Siye are rivals, and they have been tit for tat since their debut, but there must be fan wars whenever they are in the same frame.

Jiang Zhao held the golden trophy and smiled faintly in front of the camera: “We’re not familiar with each other.”

After the press conference, Jiang Zhao was walking in the empty VIP channel when someone suddenly pressed him against the wall.

The tip of his nose rubbed against the man’s bulging Adam’s apple, and he heard the hot breath falling on his ear:

“The one you’ve slept with, you’re not familiar?”

Jiang Zhao snorted coldly:

“Don’t be so naive, Xiao Siye, we’re both adults, so what if we slept together once?”

Not long after, Jiang Zhao opened his eyes again after a hangover, and his body was sore.

Xiao Siye was also sitting next to him, and looked at him with a leisurely look:

“What about when you slept together a second time?”

It depends on what you like.

I'm not into MLs that are creeping stalkers, constantly fabricating opportunities to "coincidentally" meet the MC who made it clear that he has no interest in the ML.

Worse, when it interferers with the MC's work, like it's the case in this novel, the only way to get away from ML would be to basically quit the entertainment industry by turning down major projects the ML managed to inject himself into.

Whatever kind of romantic relationship comes out of being pressured and cornered so hard, it always... more>> feels like the MC either just gave in after exhausting his willpower or developed some kind of Stockholm-like syndrome.

If you like the forceful-wife-chasing-formula then this might be fun for you.

I'd rather read about an MC that is at least indifferent towards the ML instead of outright disapproving of him but having to tolerate the guy's manipulation. <<less

I am so angry at the MC right now... your former friend who tried to r*pe you is now stalking you, harming people around you... and your solution is to get into a car with this deranged pe*vert? Why is the MC so s*upid and overconfident when this isnt he first time the stalker has tried to do something bad? Oh and most importantly, he didnt even inform anyone in advance that he was going out to meet the stalker. I'm speechless. Does being rich and famous make you immune... more>> to harm especially when the other party is clearly not acting like a sane person? He's clearly obsessed and not quite connected to reality... why would you go and give him what he wants? Report it to your parents at least... also thanks to his stubborn pride, no one knows about the attempted r*pe so the stalker wont even be a major suspect if you disappear... so smart of you to get into his car in the middle of the night to demand an explanation.

Overall I love the novel and the relationship between the two leads but this kind of villain really makes me uncomfortable. Taking a break from this.

Edit: Fortunately the resolution of the kidnapping arc was very satisfactory and cathartic... It also arrived very fast... I hate those drawn out dog blood plots where the MC is tortured for a long time and then given a very brief triumph which isnt cathartic enough... So I am very satisfied with this novel... also kudos to the MC for not being a quivering damsel and punching or hitting the villain multiple times when the chance arises... I like how he didnt sit around and wait to be rescued and did what he could on his end.

Also, I love how MC dealt the final blow to his tormentor by telling him that he can move past the trauma he inflicted upon him and that the villain wont be able to leave a permanent impression on his heart... I really enjoyed the way he denied the stalker of his deepest desire and thus inflicted the most effective kind of damage without stepping outside the bounds of the law. Even if MC had imprisoned and tortured the stalker, it wouldnt have bothered him.. rather, he would have enjoyed the attention, so this was the best possible solution for the situation. I am so proud of the MC. <<less

The whole story is based on. ML already liking MC but not telling MC. MC knows that ML likes someone and does not want to acknowledge his feelings, because ML likes someone.

😂😂 Although I find it really funny. Only if ML did not tell MC that he likes someone, the way would have been much more easier for himself.

Moral of the story - think before you say anything.

There’s a lot psychopath in this story. But it’s also alot of ‘entertainment’ plot in this story. If you like this genre is ok. There’s are some dog blood and drama, but it’s quickly drive through. Normal bg, ML is op. MC is tsun. Lol. Story good for passing time. Thank you

I'm loving it so far!

i really love this trope, a playful, sunny, but secretly a black belly ML and a tsundere MC!

i also like that the misunderstanding solved pretty fast.

oh, and the translation is really good, the translator did a very good job!

It's a pretty good novel so far! MC is kind of a big tsundere towards the ML (who is slightly black-bellied, very protective over MC and a little manipulative, slightly cold-blooded when it comes to other people) but is a little cold to everybody else. My favorite character is the cat.

the MC's stalker yandere childhood friend, who's been obsessed with MC ever since MC saved him from bullies. Before MC became an actor, he was extremely good at piano, but during a competition, he missed his grandpa's last words because his childhood friend had his phone and didn't tell him about the missed calls. He later kidnaps and confines MC because he wants to marry MC, but MC is rescued by ML before that.

ML's half brother. ML is an illegitimate child of a rich family, but was brought back to the family with his brother from another father to become the heir when his half brother's legs became disabled. The half brother's goal isn't the family inheritance, but ML/family affection.

Translation has some mistakes here and there, but is mostly readable. It's not a bad read if you are bored! The extras after the main story are about their honeymoon and two different AUs. <<less

I don't have a problem with the ml's personality actually I don't mind it at all. I don't exactly agree with one of the reviewers who mentioned ML as a stalker, which keeps me from reading this for a while, but tbh it wasn't to that extent. The only problem in this story is that it's hella bland. Most of the parts are good elements of the story but the narration was made very blandly and lacks the variation which would have perked my interest. It's not bad but would... more>> not reread this so only read if you want to pass on time <<less

I liked the slow development of the relationship. Some of the chapters feels like filler chapters and I think they should have been shortened and combined instead, but overall, it was a nice read. Honestly, I was a little annoyed by the main character at first because he was mean to the main lead over the pettiest and tiniest issue, but as he slowly softened up to the main lead later on (I think around chapter 40-ish) and begin properly developing feelings for the main lead, he became more... more>> tolerable. Some scenes are straight out of your typical shoujo drama tropes and it didn't feel as romantic, but that may be due to me being a bit numb to the cliché-ness of it. Other than that, it was a good read. <<less

Sigh, I was looking forward to binge-reading this because the summary seemed like it was right up my alley. Firstly, thank you translator for your hard work.

Started out pretty good, I liked the bickering-vibe between the MC and ML but the plot just got all haywire as soon as they introduced that 2nd ML (?) /villain.. it's like his main purpose was to be a contrasting comparison from the ML so ML can generate more goodwill from the MC (or just make ML seem less unappealing? I mean, he does... more>> his fair share of being a bit creepy too). I just felt that the direction of the story changed, the story began with MC and ML meeting "for the first time" at their teacher's place and were going to be introduced to a famous director - unfortunate that in the chapters I read, I hardly got to see the MC act, the most he has done was be in a variety show but that was only a few pages worth. As soon as the villain got in, you get your cliche attempted stockholm syndrome.. ML showing his domineering side...

Novel seems more focused on MC/ML dancing around each other, flailing over misunderstandings, rather than their careers.

Honestly the novel would only be 10% of what it is now if ML was just straight-forward with the MC- but of course it has to follow the common theme of: speaking in riddles rather than confessing. MC, bless his low-EQ soul, cannot stop misunderstanding either - wouldn't have in the first place if either party initiated some communication. I do understand that MC is quite prideful and a whole-lot of tsundere so we of course get a lot of circling around..

Bonus points, I guess, for MC escaping his attacker by himself. That was nice. <<less
