In short, our MC here is a drama queen, a sulky brat who escalates small issues into unforgivable ones.

It actually had some potential as he's not your typical beta MC. His true nature is basically repaying malice with more malice. When someone hits you, you hit them back with even more force. Yes, he's not afraid of using violence or underhanded means. But because these actions, at one time in the past, resulted in his childhood friend being bullied, he put a mask on himself to be always kind and... more>> unprovocative. This story starts with him forfeiting that mask as he realizes that he'll just be a pushover with it.

What he did with the "fake confession" was honestly very satisfying. Unfortunatly, it's the aftermath that destroys the whole story for me. After MC put down his mask, he seems to expect others to understand him and accept his real self immediately. When people ask him if he could do them a favor (as he had done before) he snaps at them rudely to piss off. And when people want him to become his kind self again, he becomes angry as he thinks they don't accept his real personality, and he won't forgive them for this (note that MC had his mask on the whole time. So, can you really expect others to see a sudden violent change in personality and accept it as in "ah, that's his real self"?). Finally, when his teacher criticizes his sudden new behavior (note that she just wants to help him), he gets furious and asks her with what right she can decide how he should behave. And as if that's not enough, he actually insults her goal of why she became a teacher when she told him that before.

I don't say that the behavior of the supporting cast was commendable. Some were obviously wrong as they only rebuked the way he repayed the false confession, not even losing a word about the vicious act he was submitted to. He was and should rightfully be furious about it. But the whole melodrama about his real personality is really just a mess. MC basically gets angry at everyone who doesn't understand that his current personality is his real one and who criticizes his "new" behavior in any way. And somehow, the people involved regret their own behavior and how they haven't understood him immediately?

Sorry, but that's it for me. <<less

Regarding letter's review on plothole, it's quite clear he/she didn't read properly since in chapter 4, it was clearly after Shiraki's 2 friend confessed it about being a lie on Shiraki's confession which cause a slight meltdown in MC which result in him reaching his phone in the pocket at the same time as he question them when it's a lie etc. For people that doesn't know this but in japan high school, AV Club is also typically known as Broadcast Club and those room are typically not locked in... more>> general. In Chapter 7, teacher did call him like what GreenRiver mention in his/her review but yea, he didn't get any punishment for it.

So far reading it, the story seem interesting and for the 2 FMC, I honestly don't feel that bad for them as it's their own fault for causing this issue. FMC Shiraki chose her scumbag friends over her own true feeling when she clearly love MC so that's on her and FMC Childhood friend is probably the worst in my opinion as she herself chose not to reveal her own feeling to MC when she had all this time and she confronted MC with her friends on having MC to break up with Shiraki without telling him anything (which could also implied she might potentially know it was a prank) and she watches her friends diss MC for not wanting to break up Shiraki when they refuse to give any reason. MC's sister is legit bit*h imo as she kept on refusing to telling MC anything even if she know something then expect MC to take it down just because what MC did as revenge was out of hand. After all this happen, MC was excluded in his class, FMC Shiraki get no sh*t since she is the popular girl so all is good for her while FMC Childhood instead of being sympathize with MC, she kept on saying it was MC's fault that the class exclude which was legit a bad move considering the timing as it only happen in like a span of 1-2 day if I'm not wrong. So far both FMC seem rather garbage imo but who know what would happen as the story progress but yea, the story seem interesting so far. <<less

I tried my best to read through it but at one point it just made me want to slap the sh*t out of the author. The MC was improving just for the author to put him right back to square 1 for a bullsh*t reason. 1/5 anyone who disagrees can SMD.

Here "good person" basically means "beta boyscout". He takes abuse in passing, and always helps those around him. Which, just gonna say, ALWAYS helping EVERYONE sounds like a deceptively massive burden.

He gets a girlfriend, and his childhood friend (who loves him) and sister (who's supporting the friend) start tr*shing him for reasons they refuse to explain.

Then his own friends and family blame him for making someone's misdeed public... I mean, he's hurting, ya know? And a Victim has every right to expose the actions of a Villain. But for... more>> some reason, the people that claim to love him turned on him for not being a simp beta male?

Pertaining to the plot holes Letters pointed out:
Spoiler

Getting Dumped: He only started recording the conversation where he's being dumped AFTER the conversation starts, and he did it covertly. So he missed the first few lines, but gets her to repeat most of the juicy parts.

AV Room: It is REALLY strange that no one tries to stop him from broadcasting the false-confession confession (he got her on tape dumping him and explaining her evil plan like a bond villain).

Punishment: Letters said that the MC hadn't been punished for hijacking the schools broadcast system, at the time of that review only C6 had been released, the MC gets called to the teacher's office in C7. Yeah, stunts like that grab attention...

This story is seriously tr*sh. I had some hope since this MC seems to fight back against his tormentors, but he is just a big baby. More than a drama queen, he really is just a piece of tr*sh, and his self deprecation is just so silly and nonsensical.
Spoiler

He literally somehow develops a split personality at ch18, and after forgiving and making up with his close friends, he has a voice that speaks to him telling that he should just close himself off, after him quite literally just feeling happy and wholesome. Dropped this story, its ridiculous and s*upid. What happened to him doesn't reduce a person down to this.

I can say that I am up to date with the raws, it is a tenderly cathartic series.

more than the romantic theme that the two people who posted earlier talk about, it's about what society expects of us... and how liberating it is to just be yourself.

now, of course the writer is not fedor dostoyevsky but, he fully accomplishes his goal.

Bit early to tell but poison testing it to c6 and it seems alright. It's another 'betrayed but it's all misunderstandings that build up' type novel but at least the protagonist finds his spine pretty quickly. Sadly unless I'm mistaken there's already a plothole or 3; ... more>>
Spoiler

MC records audio for a conversation he has no way to know he should (Though maybe he overheard some hint and I missed it or it didn't get translated?) to faceslap someone directly after because of course he also knows where the mic for the school's sound system is and there's no one around to stop him using it- but maybe it's in an AV club or something that has tons of students coming and going? More baffling is that no teacher seems to investigate it much less call him out for misuse of school equipment because he's the protagonist I suppose. Otherwise they'd at least scold him for wasting classtime- either by announcing it during class or by all the excited chattering at the start of class that seems to last and last whenever anything actually interesting happens in a school.
