“It was supposed to be life after being labeled as the villain, but…aren’t the heroines’ favorabilities a bit strange?”

Ryuoin Taketo, born into a wealthy family, mistakenly believed himself to be a special existence and caused trouble from kindergarten to middle school.

However, in an academy where one can progress from elementary to university via an escalator system, he was condemned during middle school by a new male student, leading him to become a loner at school.

After being defeated, Taketo’s family disowned him, and in shock, this novel’s protagonist reincarnated into the bedridden Taketo.

But rather than that, what’s more painful is the cringeworthy episodes flowing from Taketo’s memories.

Anyway, he doesn’t want to be bullied in high school, so he intends to live quietly and peacefully.

Despite thinking that way, the heroines keep getting close to him.

Just from reading the title and description you already get the impression that this is going to be a mid-tier "reincarnated as a villain" story. Which is fine, not every story has to be a deep and profound masterpiece.

What's not fine is that even with these lowered expectations the story fails to even live up to its own title. The MCs "evil deeds" amounts to being rude, the NTR is irrelevant since he's not the type of character to steal women, and the heroines are already secretly in love with... more>> the protagonist.

So why make him isekai into a villain if you are just going to throw out all the story elements that come with him starting off as a villain? If this was presented as your standard isekai harem story I would be willing to give it a three out of five, but since the author seems insistent on throwing away his own starting premise its gonna be a one from me.

TLDR: My expectations were low, but jesus. <<less

I'm amazed how a Japanese WN author had audacity to wrote something that utterly beyond dumb and then post it on internet, expecting people will praise it.

Spoiler

I don't know whether it was a mistranslation or not, but in Chapter 1 MC aka villain said that he lost his fiancee (in fact, even claimed to be stolen) in a duel to some sussy baka amogus righteous protagonist from the original game, but then in Chapter 5 the said fiancee still love him & the original protagonist who won the duel is not mentioned. How dumb she is?

[collapse]

Oh another moment where it shows how much IQ that author have :

Spoiler

The same one in Chapter 1, where our MC said that his parents are moving him to another town & school WHERE NO ONE KNOW HIM because he is afraid of being hated but theeeennnn in Chapter 5 when MC entered his new class SOMEHOW HIS CLASSMATES KNEW EVERYTHING ABOUT HIM INCLUDING HIS PAST DEEDS. Come on Author, how can you be so inconsistent?

[collapse]

The most brutally idiot moments of this novel is......

Spoiler

MC literally said in Chapter 1 that due to his duel with original protagonist in MIDDLE SCHOOL, causing the game plot to collapse since the game should take place in high school. BUT THEN AGAIN, IN CHAPTER 5 ENTERING HIGH SCHOOL, MC SAID THAT HE UNWILLINGLY PLACED IN SECOND HIGHEST CLASS BECAUSE IT IS PREDETERMINED DUE TO GAME PLOT. For Neptune's Ballsacks, author-san... you said that the game plot is destroyed, but why suddenly the game plot is being relevant again? Sigh...

Don't waste your time reading this puddle of puke, I swear to God. <<less

The biggest issue I have with this story is the number of times it retells the same event from an alternate character's point of view. I haven't counted, but I would guess that fully 1/3 of the content is this type of narrative. Sometimes it adds good context, but often it just states information that was relatively easy to infer on your own.

It's pretty standard harem wish fulfillment, except that the protagonist is actually highly competent (and I think he's supposed to be attractive too). It does try to have... more>> its cake and eat it too by circumstantially making the protagonist the underdog, even though he's superior to any of his rivals who have popped up thus far. His only real flaw is that he's kind of a well-intentioned jerk (offering genuinely helpful advice as criticism, having high expectations of others, etc). The translation is average to slightly above average, but if you've ever read a MTL story, you won't have any issues with that aspect.

Overall though, I think it's fine. It's nowhere near the best thing that I'm reading, but I'm also willing to keep reading it for now. <<less

You have to turn off your brain to read this novel really the story was already below average but the translation part sucks even more. It's like they have translated in a hurry and the story is also rushed also you can't connect to the characters at all. Their reasons to leave the MC and to make amends with him is really absurd and confusing. This light novel's story outline was really good if only they could add depth to the characters it will be an amazing story read this... more>> story only for fun purpose and not for a great story and emotional depth of the characters <<less

Story is a bit confusing with many details deliberately hidden but giving big hints here and there kinda not work as intended? The storytelling isn't smooth for sure.

MC is too detached from... Many things. His 2nd life, his family, wealth, interests, health, he's inorganic. It's funny that in a way MC has "high specs" and "never neglected to work hard" when there's absolutely no depiction of such hard work being written.

Regardless it's an acceptable read to kill time. Mild comedy, mild romance, mild misunderstanding, so and so. 3/5 but plus... more>> one more point for TL. Yes there are mistakes but still way better than most TL nowadays who excrete 30 turd quality chapters in one day, at least this here properly edit and PR (I can accept some misses) <<less

This one is boring. It starts out okay but the title is misleading. The villain is not a villain and never was. Unfortunately, the story is one of those where the protagonist has some strange midas touch with women (aka cardboard cut outs in this world) and goes around catching their interest as if they are pokemon. The antagonists, when they exist, have the depths and ability of Team Rocket!
