Due to overworking at a black company, I died from exhaustion. And now, I’ve reincarnated into the world of a youthful romantic comedy series, “Koibito Otome wa Fusegawa-kun ni Koishiteiru,” which I was totally obsessed with in my previous life.

In this realm of romantic comedies, it’s typical for the reincarnated character to have a cute childhood friend, get along with the student council president, and have a beautiful girl seated next to them in class. They become the protagonist who’s adored by the heroine. Everyone naturally expects such a vibrant, colorful youth.

But when I stood before a mirror—my appearance was dyed brown hair, multiple ear piercings, and sharp, stern features typical of the ‘villainous delinquent character’!?

This is the story of me, reincarnated as a villain in the world of romantic comedy. I’ll utilize the knowledge and experiences from my past life to avoid the impending bad end destined for villains, striving to lead a happier youth than the story’s protagonist

I really just feel genuine distaste for everything in the first 18 chapters that I would have dropped it even if the translation didnt end here.

As far as I can tell, villainous dillinquent just means poor, run of the mill school skipper, which is actually a normal backstory for the protagonist in a lot of stories. He wimpily tries to reject his friends and a girl who is nice to him, and they all accept it as him trying to do something good even though he had such a rude... more>> delivery. Then she takes off her makeup and it turns out she is the greatest beauty of all, and he does a 180 and immediately. Oh but "the world" causes her skirt to flip at the protagonist.

idk I'm just shaking my head every chapter, and I find it hard to even root for the MC when he acts like this. I noped out immediately when "the world" started doing things. I always hate this plot because it feels like agency is taken away from the MC an annoying and arbitrary way for no reason other than what feels like lazy writing. <<less

Impressive storyline.

It is generally included in the list of Isekai MC who transmigrated as a villain. Thanks for the original from "My dead flag has no sign of ending" I understand the fundamental content of this series.

It is generic, good, and written well. But that's how it is.

... more>> It is not quite original since the storyline has the same vibes of other ecchi Isekai tropes. But what do you expect? It is what the most popular trope in Japan nowadays.

For characters:

MC is pretty generic, same attitude, and lack of proper manners. Powers are the same from SAO like Kirito and Liam Banfield. He has an attitude of Leon Bartfold from Otome Game. All the same progress.

For starters, if you like the chinese and Korean MC, you can definitely see some copycats here. Japanese authors intend to simulate their character's brain into the lame attitude of Mc's. I'm done of saying sigma and chad. It is all the same.

Possible Ending: Harem.

4.5 out of 5. <<less

I... do not get who this is for. Truth of the matter is, the "rip from overwork, reincarnated in x world, this time imma live my youth" gained popularity due to a growing demographic of weebs in Japan that. Well. Fell like dying due to the overwhelming overwork they doing aint such a bad thing to dream about from time to time. From this comes the problem with this novel. It's. Simple. Way too simple. Yes, there's the annoying jap tropes, in droves even, but the novel is way too... more>> basic. Now, idk about others, but with years, taste gets more mature. At least this is how it was with me. Things I enjoyed 15yrs ago feel bland now. So here we have now, a novel with a premise such as the intended audience being the aforementioned demographic (since in no way can a real kid truly understand the pain of. Well. Missing out on "youth") written in a style and with plots that would only appeal to highschoolers at best.

Perhaps I got too old for web novels and the fault is with me, but I can't find this any other way than generic, boring and even annoying at times. The only reason I rated it 2* instead of 1 is because, as I mentioned, perhaps it might have some appeal to the younger, less experienced readers that only wanna close their brain and have a "fun" read while self inserting and thinking "this is how my life should have been if I wasn't the anime watching novel reading friendless loser" that most of us in here are. <<less
