TL;DR: Terrible in every way, especially the romance that is touted as the focus.

Honestly, I don't know what I was expecting reading a Chinese novel with this premise. At least in most Japanese novels with this premise, the main character has some reservations. Despite their feelings, they at least pretend like they actually want to help the s*aves and give them a better life, or whatever. In this novel, there is none of that at all. The main character is very clear that the reason that he wants a s*ave... more>> girl is so that he can f*ck her. There are numerous gross descriptions of the main character analyzing "figures" when choosing which s*x s*ave he wants.

He is also ambitious... in regards to building a s*ave empire. Yeah, you read that right, The overall goal of this protagonist is to buy a huge amount of s*aves and put them through backbreaking and life-threatening danger to make money.

Despite this, naive me continued reading.

The author clearly has no idea how to write romance beyond "this girl is forced to be here because she is a s*ave" so all of the interactions are very shallow. The girl treats the main character well and there are even signs of her developing feelings despite the main character doing jack shit. On the contrary, he even objectifies her openly. The only love that might be developed here in a real situation is from Stockholm Syndrome.

Another "bonus" for this novel, the main character has a system, and it is implemented horribly. It assigns him quests based on what is happening around him. For example, if his s*ave wants to do something, then the system gives a quest telling him to do it.

This would be fine, but the main character clearly is controlled by this system. He never thinks for himself and merely follows the system's instructions like a robot. Truly, one of the worst systems I have ever seen in a novel.

Also, this isn't even a romance novel! This is a harem, somehow. For those who come in the future, you're welcome that I updated the tags for you. I got duped into being here.

Continuing on, despite having his wolf-eared beastgirl, the novel is still full of descriptions of him looking at other girls creepily. In the chapter that I stopped reading, he actually ens*aved another beastgirl. Clearly, this novel is going to be about him building a male s*ave workforce to make him money while he sits in a palace with his army of female s*aves. Actually revolting concept.

I would recommend this novel if you are sick in the head. <<less

Just let me be clear: Take all reviews with a grain of salt because they can contain personal and sometimes biased opinions.

This novel has no major problems, the translation is good (can't point any mistake like the sadly common mispronouns or obvious wrong punctuation) and the flow of the history is clear.

If you have read other novels like this just be warned: shockingly enough MC treats s*aves as s*aves and just try to please those by his side. There's not that much of a hero complex or any at all.... more>>

MC is obvious in his desire but I don't see that as a drawback. He's not assaulting or forcibly using s*ave crests, choosing to make them lower their guard. He's playing his own game.

The system is hilarious. He got a system but it gives missions based on his current intentions as a tool to make MC take decisions instead of doing it later or cowering away. But sometimes the system misleads the MC:
