Don't let the low rating fool you. People only rate it as such because this isn't a "true" Gender Bender or "true" yuri. Though, I do have something to say about that, crossdressing and trap DOES properly fall under the Gender Bender tag. Read the tag description properly, it did mention that crossdressing is gender bender.

Then moving on to the review, I've only read a bit of the novel, but it does have an interesting Prologue. And despite the fact that the Protagonist is actually a guy dressing up as... more>> a girl, he (?) has literally lived his whole life as a girl. As could be told from the synopsis, he was raised by the church as a girl for fifteen years until the pope passed away and told him the truth.

Which is why, though he may biologically be a boy, he has a more feminine interest and his line of thought leans more towards the women's way of thinking. <<less

Just in case the synopsis and tags are confusing: The "hero" is a girl, the "saintess" is biologically male.

The story isn't really yuri since while the MC is raised as a girl, he considers himself a boy and gets embarrassed by things that male MCs typically get embarrassed by - just with a more stereotypical feminine reaction. Even the CN community (this is a CN story) labels it "伪百合, " or "fake yuri."

I love the MC of this story and hope a nice translator would pick this one up as Re:Library might chose Transcendent over The Saintess. This story sounds more unique and interesting to me as a veteran webnovel reader. Cross dressing is part of the gender bender and do not just dislike the story just because it is not full body transformation or body swaps. The story might sounds dull and boring to you who prefer face place or full actions like Chinese cultivation novels. For me, this is a... more>> nice break from those novels. I like how the MC is so feminine even though he tried to reject his feminine side and being embarrassed. I would love to see the story progress and wish he would accept his female identity because that was who he is. He is a girl through and through his entire life, just because now he realize he is not a female, that do not change his life experiences and his upbringing. <<less

It's damn near unreadable. The best way to describe it is imagine la cage aux folles without the humor and only one gag which is endlessly repeated. It just goes on and on over over. I skimmed the MTL and ahead and as far I could go, it was that same damn joke that wasn't funny to begin with.

First thing first, dang this is a better read than I expected. While there is only one gag (the Saintess being a boy), the author had used it efficiently without it became boring. Hence, the thought of the Saintess, who constantly stuck between the old identity of a girl and the new identity of being a 15 years old boy is actually very on point. Low rating mostly came from people who’re expecting real GB and yuri, not because this is a bad novel I believe.
