WOW I did not expect to enjoy it this much!!! It’s not only a fresh new concept, but it’s well written and comedic (which I wasn’t expecting to be that funny).

it really makes you realize how silly and strange we are in today’s society. I do feel bad for the ML for having to put up with how weird today’s society is lol, this poor baby wasn’t exposed to anything like what we have today.

After reading the description I thought “Oh, it’s gonna be about how the ML has to deal with stuff like having crazy fans, singing, dancing, etc. But it’s better than what I imagined. i mtl'd SO much of this, and suffered through shitty and incorrigible translation up until I truly couldnt understand it anymore and STILL enjoyed this. The plot was SO gripping for me, and definitely felt unique in its own "supernatural" take. MC has unique abilities, but the author is sure to build a world where his existence makes sense or has some deeper background, so rather than it feeling like the world is living in convenience for the mc's circumstances, it feels like the MC is living in a world... more>> that's not catered just for him. Also, how the author goes in depth with the world building is amazing, and im only 100 chs in.

also, this is just hilarious. Idek how tf the author comes up with half of the stuff that goes down. Like, , , for a showbiz novel, the author does NOT hold back they literally do everything. Like, ghostbusters, soul snatching saviourship, random cult following, religious photoshoots, MONKS, legal matters handled through oujia board type of beat, , , like, how tf-

MC is like. Funny enough that ill even let any of his actions that give me second-hand embarrassment slide (and I am SENSITIVE to that you know), and his denseness/absolute shamelessness and just overall "WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT" genuinely brings me simultaneous pain and laughter, especially because it makes sense. it doesnt feel annoyingly s*upid or irritatingly shallow, because all of this is very in character for someone in mc's situation. Also, I love that he's not a pushover- I just think he's funny.

and, the interactions and relationships that MC creates with ppl around him are rlly gripping. Theyre not all shallow, and a lot of them are inexplicably amusing due to misunderstandings or just the mc's personality and situation, but a lot of them are also really deep (but it's funny bc it's not even bc theyre compatible, but bc MC literally ties them down to him by secret 😭).

For those who are sick of reading your average 30yo Joe thrown into a fantasy world, this story is a breath of fresh air. The synopsis pretty much sums it up but essentially, Holy Idol depicts the life of a priest who has transmigrated into a kpop star. I really love the fact that the protagonist doesn't just "accept" his situation; he actively thinks about ways to travel back to his world-- so the story has elements deeper than its showbiz surface. The humour and comedy are also an absolute joy (TRUST)

Well, it is interesting. It is quite amusing and a good read. There is a fair amount of fantasy too, I guess that's the main genre. It's not just a showbiz novel with a quirky priest-like MC. The way he acts is amusing, but there is more to the novel. Although the way the idol industry works isn't super realistic, it is a novel after all. The story itself is pretty fun and addictive and makes me want to read more similar works.

We always see stories about people coming from a modern world to a medievel one, but here the opposite happened, it's a fresh well executed idea, the comedic aspect fits the situation brilliantly, I now it's not good the make a quick assumption with few disponible chapters, but I expect great things from the author, im already hooked and the translation is well done.

Go ahead and give it try, you won't be disappointed.

This is really a gold mining comedy genre. You will find yourself laughing so much while reading this novel, I have stopped reading this novel a long time ago since the translator hasn't updated the chapters for a long time. there's insight to idol life but also fantasy, adventure and intrigue mixed in too
