I'm telling you this, sorry if some people are offended (Looks pointedly at the five-stars reviews), but someone sane need to say this...

This novel is disgusting.

I'll list it why it's disgusting.:

... more>> - The MC started off good if not annoying with all his complaints and whines, but he's absolutely a degenerate fool with a case of Stockholm syndrome... see down there for more.

-The ML is horrible, he's a horrible person, a horrible man, horrible through and through. Now, I love some domineering, black-bellied, psycho ML, but this ML rammed pass the bottomline. He r*ped the MC and the original soul over and over, and never really care if he's hurting him. Because he's a self-centered prick who should die a horrible death.

He r*ped the original soul over and over, and people wondered why the original soul was a bit screwed in the head and drink wine all day? The original soul had ''such a perfect alluring and beautiful body'', his beauty could make even girls envious, but sadly, he was a 'waste' who only know how to act unreasonable, spoiled, and has a bad temper- But hey, he was merely a teenager the first time he came through the door (Or even younger?), maybe he deserved some beatings and got yelled at...

But he certainly didn't deserve to be r*ped. Times and times again, he got r*ped so much that his body had so many marks that wouldn't disappear over the year. (Why? Maybe because for the fact that THE MONSTER r*peD HIM FREQUENTLY?!?!)

If you ask me, it's perfectly within the okay-you're-pass zone for him to be hot-tempered, s*upid, and only drunk wine in most of his life. Hell, I'll give him my 'You-suffered-so-much-how-could-you-still-live-OFCOURSE-you-passed!' The servants didn't care if he's r*ped, never. They like to mock him secretly instead, because of his crazy temper, once again. Ha. Ha. Ha.

I mean, if I have to go through the same experience, I would risk to try and assassinate the ML and die trying. Or worse, I might as well kill myself with a quick slash through my neck, and may God forgives me for that for I might not be in my right mind anymore. I'D BE CRAZY, YES!!! The original soul was already very strong to stay alive! That child was so great that I might cry!

-When the MC ('s body, really) went to a change of personality because of the transmigrated soul, becoming more 'rebellious' as per I say (Because I can't say the MC is actually smart, no, he's s*upid, thoughtless, and just shout off his mouth randomly when he's angry. I don't see how he's 'better' than the original soul. He was just more courageous, and that's also because he was not the one sent by his own family to be a hostage and got r*ped since he was underage, underage which means the original soul was both physically and mentally not ready for that. Not that anyone would ever be ready to be r*ped. Ha. Ha.), and everyone thought that it's charming and interesting. The F*ck?

-The MC is an identity-stealer by admitting his real name and how he came to the ML, F*cking completely erased the original soul's identity out of this world, mind you. I hate this kind of trope the most, you're there, not only to live your second life but also to redeem the wrongdoings of the original owner as a payment (even if you didn't ask for it) for indirectly giving them your body to get YOUR second chance. There's only one exception to this rule to me, but that's because he only told it to ONE person, who is not- oh, A f*cking KING!

-The MC is HORRIBLE! He's the worst! He's so bad that I want to cry for the original soul! Why? Because the MC kept blaming the original soul over and over again about how horrible and 'evil' he was, THE MC HAS NO F*CKING RIGHT TO DO THAT OKAY?!! That child was r*ped, and ab*sed through and through when living in that hell hole everyone called castle. He was dead with no one loving him, NO ONE. He DID NO WRONG! He was selfish, yes. He was easy to anger and took it out on servants, yes. He drunk his days away, yes. But can you blame him?

NO! F*CK! With all those kind of s*xual and mental tortures, do you expect him to grow up to be a decent person with mild and kind personality? If your answer is yes, we need to talk, preferably with swords, let's fight! He's the victim here, it was normal for him to develop an unstable temper, no one ever taught him or bother to teach him making him s*upid and selfish, he drunk his days away because he couldn't stand the pain he was going through. He f*cking developed a psychological trauma and feared the emperor terribly- ofc he was a coward before the emperor! DON'T ACT LIKE FEARING THAT MONSTER WAS A PERSONALITY FLAW!!! He was not a suicidal person to provoke his rapist!

But... The MC blamed him without even a shred of sympathy that such a child had to go through all those traumas since they were young... No?? Not even a prayer for him? Oh, you're going to keep dissing about him, saying how horrible and s*upid the original was just to prove your point that you're much better than him? You're f*cking not, b*tch.

I hope the couple die, I already dropped this shit, I love the dissed and condemned original soul more than the entire novel combined. Everyone here is horrible pieces of sh*t. The masters, the servants, HORRIBLE!

The original soul deserved much better, I hope I can just hug him and love him... It's good that he died, he's free from all those a**holes, but it's sad that no one mourn for him. The only two who knew he's dead are two heartless a**sholes who thought they're better than others. And even more devastating that even in his death, he was still insulted and demeaned. God, I'm so mad thinking about it alone.

Read it if you like r*pes and forced/hate s*x. But the main couple was too extreme for me. Not only because of the forced/hate s*x things, but also because they're terrible people who should never be main characters. <<less

Please be aware Wife of Sovereign's review is for some other book. This story has absolutely nothing about the original body being r*ped or ab*sed. As for the criticism about MC "erasing" the original's identity by telling ML his name, uh nothing like that happened in the currently translated chapters, and even if it did, that's a weird thing to criticize a transmigrator for. (I personally prefer when transmigrators are honest with the love interest about their true identity.) The original is just some lazy nonentity that ML never gave... more>> a second glance to. I guess it's possible that a bunch of crazy stuff happened in the untranslated chapters, I have no way to know, but it would be a significant detour from the current story. In my opinion, there's just some confusion going on.

There is a forced interc**rse scene here but there's only one, and the depiction is pretty mild for this genre. If that's not your thing you already know it. The rest is standard "domineering Emperor ML sexually harrassing the hottie shou he likes" that you see in most BL. Not saying it's good or acceptable behavior, just saying it's common.

MC is sassy, but he's also rash and not very clever. After a few chapters he seems to forget he ever transmigrated (a pet peeve of mine) and acts like he's been a prince all his life. The second volume's translation ends in the middle of a subplot that's pretty boring -- MC doesn't seem to have any kind of plan for success so it's difficult to root for him. Overall, nothing here is very original or interesting. Anyway, it's certainly not some kind of demonic atrocity. <<less

ITS SO GOODDDDDD

I LOVE THESE SORT OF NOVELS WHERE THE PROTAG IS FEISTY, SMART, HAS SELF RESPECT, STUBBORN AND RIGHTEOUSLY INSUBORDINATE.

I feel bad for him, I really do. But everytime he triumphs a hurdle, I admire him much much more. Dont ever give up MC!

Vol 2 please!!! I wanna see how their relationship will develop :)

Thank you translator for your effort and work.

But...

I'm not fond of the MC of this novel, in my own perspective, he's unruly, idiotic and reckless. It would have been okay if it's done in a good way but it made me annoyed to the point that I could see him surviving this novel just because of his MC halo and plot shield.

I am not saying that the novel was not good, in fact it was unique in its own way but if you are looking for a novel with badass,... more>> op character or (black bellied and cunning) kind of MC... then well MAYBE this is not for you.

This is more on fluff and stuff. <<less

Honestly, I just went here because im looking for a novel that has the same plot as Feng Yu Jiu Tian BUT as I read this, I actually like it!

The MC is strong willed and he really opposses the ML to do whatever he wants on him. He's partly funny because of his characteristics and habits which I like about him!

The ML's characteristics on the other hand is like Rou Yan from FYJT which is domineering and see people's lives as not important.

I really enjoy this one but sadly and... more>> unfortunately the translations are not continued and I don't see any copies where can I read the other volumes. <<less

This story is very amazing and very much deserve a 5 star rating and what wife of sovereign write about this novel is very wrong. The actual novel that poser describe in the review is called Feng yu jiu tian which is really disgusting. Even though this this novel has a r*pe tag but that's only time only in a drunken state and the ML never give any attention to the original soul much less touch him. The ML only became interested when the MC cross over.

My name is silvana and I'm from Brazil I've been following the soap opera but unfortunately I do not know the English language so I use google translator, except that from chapter 4 on it was difficult since there is a certain block of content google does not can do the translation, tried in several ways to circumvent the unlock but unfortunately I could not or fortunately since the lock... more>> also serves as security of the content hahaha. The thing is...I hate to rate stories based on the translation skill, because I know translators are doing this for free and the only way for us to enjoy the stories. But at the same time I couldn't get past ch 1 because I could not make sense of the English. The past, present & future tenses were all the place.

I give it 3 stars, 3 neutral stars, 3 not good, not bad, waiting for more chapters before rating it higher/lower stars. So far there's only a prologue and a chapter and maybe I've become apathetic but I was not blown away by the story. I was not completely aghast by it either because I'm hoping that maybe, like in some animes, the first few chapters are a bit dull-ish because of character and plot introductions. No shade on the translator (s), it was a nicely translated prologue and first... more>> chapter, but I would wait for more chapters to be released before reading it. <<less

This kind of novel is really a hit or miss. You either liked it or really really hated it.

At first when I saw the synopsis, I thought this was gonna be a braindead, smooth sailing, comedic novel despite the tags. You know those stories when ML started off bullying MC but changed overtime. But no... this was a REGRET novel. The story is TRAGIC. It started off happy go lucky, MC has short temper and foul mouth so he always found himself in a bad situation and it was kinda... more>> fun for a short while. The more the story goes on the more his soul breaks. It's sad and frustrating. All the MLs, even the second (maybe third?) ML, are s*um bastards. MC is really unlucky surrounded by these arrogant sons of heaven.

So if you don't like to read tragedy and s*um gong reformation stories, I don't think you would enjoy this one. Personally I enjoy reading s*um gongs having an awful time drowning in regrets. Don't ignore the tags! It's pretty serious and can be triggering. <<less

Can't deny that it is tr*shy and the MC does act kinda dense and s*upid but I feel his actions are still kinda reasonable for his circumstances and he doesn't annoy me that much. The supporting characters are the real. Gem. In the story from the emperor's brother to the mc's maids

I’m thoroughly excited to see how this novel will turn out it reminds me a lot of FYJT but if the ML was Rou Yan instead. I like how the MC is quite feisty and stands up against the tyrannical love interest of the emperor. Though his lack of knowledge of the world and him being a magnet to trouble could turn into similar story lines of Feng Ming from FYJT or Ling Xia of TMCRVP. So it could be rough if he turns into that damsel always in distress... more>> bit. The ML is the typical evil emperor who has no problem killing a person who even looks at him wrong. And he is very forceful with the uke. However though There also maybe a second ML in the form of the emperors younger brother who treats the MC better than the emperor. I’ll be curious to see how the possible love triangle pans out. And how the MC and ML love story develops. Like will the ML become softer after being influenced by the MC. Or will the MC be more so forced into a relationship? Given the attraction is one sided at this point in the story I can’t really tell which way it will go. I feel this story go could go the way of a happy and or a bad ending.

But given I’m a huge fan of transmigration stories I was thoroughly excited reading through each chapter. So if you love FYJT, TMCRVP, or any of the many others out there I think this one will be just up your alley. The forceful love at least here in the beginning may not be for everyone so I can see where it would turn some away. But I feel it’s to early to stop reading based on that alone.
