I MTL'd it. Looking at the reviews, I was actually prepared to read an ultra boring plaid novel, but it was actually fluffy and cute all the way through though. Maybe it just didn't conform to the overly sweet rhetoric that's popular nowadays? Anyway, ML was mature but MC was a naive ghost! Still a slow and naive ghost! Ahahaha. The novel was very detailed and their daily life was explained very well. I actually liked the details but it may be boring for some. Like, I find reading things... more>> about cat paws and cat expressions and cat care cute and funny. If you don't like this, why are you reading a book about a man becoming a cat and finding an owner eh? Anyway, their daily life interactions were super cute imo. There was one chapter that described their daily ritual after they woke up. It was so funny and cute.

The ML bought a cat toothbrush and cat toothpaste for MC and he holds it in his left hand for MC to brush himself while ML brushes with his right hand. That picture is so cute. OwO

The actual reason for MC turning into a cat is very interesting and there was actually a mystery to solve. There was no useless drama and the antagonists were really deserving of hate and they didn't take up too much space. Face slapping was swift and proportionate. I actually like this ML a lot because even though he is jealous, he only does things to get himself some benefits and doesn't restrict MC. He acts spoiled and coquettish sometimes but only towards MC. It's so sweet. The side characters are ok. The entertainment industry aspect is sort of just a background setting. It's not that detailed. It's more about how MC & ML deal with his cat-transformation problem and in the meanwhile, fall in love~ I was very happy with the no insta-love setting! <<less

It has a good story telling, it filled up the plot holes well, most importantly it was fluffy~

Both MC and ML were very likeable, love their interaction, and their face slapping were not excessive, unlike the usual transmigration/rebirth stories. The other supporting characters were very likeable too. I like how the ML didn't fall for MC so blindly and illogically.

Oddly enough for this kind of genre, the face slapping was not done by ML or MC, but by other character. ML fell for MC after he learnt that MC was actually a human, unlike the usual cat/dog/non human transmigration stories in which ML usually falls for MC (albeit sometimes unknowingly) when they haven't know that the opposite is actually a humanoid or can morph into a human. I'm not saying that falling for non humanoid creatures is impossible, I can't judge other's taste.. but.. sometimes it's written like the ML can feel kinda aroused by cat/dog licking or just by observing a plant... it's just.. weird..? I can fully comprehend if it was only some kind of attachment like some few other non-human transmigration stories. I usually took these kinds of setting as part-joke/comedy since it was kind of funny, so I still read them, tho.. :9

After Being Turned Into a Dog, I Conned My Way Into Freeloading at My Rival's Place had too much focus on how dog MC relieves himself, and now He Woke Up And Became The Actor's Cat has too much focus on cat MC in heat. I'm starting to worry about what the next animal MC I read is going to be focused on...

Jokes aside, this is a pretty good light read. Some of the plot points start to fall apart when you think about it, but I like how events... more>> are foreshadowed well-enough that it's easy to follow why x happened. MC as a cat is adorable, and human MC does have some catlike attitudes but is also a serious, optimistic, hardworking guy. ML is outwardly the usual OP movie emperor slash cool CEO, but has a "girly" heart (loves fluffy things, writes cute posts for cat MC, likes to complain so MC will coax him, etc). Although they don't show up much, ML's friends are fun and you can tell they're good friends from their interactions. The antagonists are all pretty hateable, no moral dilemmas here. Everyone else is pretty 2D but fulfills their roles well. After the main issue of cat transforming is resolved and MC and ML get together, it's mostly just fluff and wrapping things up. It stays lighthearted all the way. <<less

the way the MC acts is so irritating he acts like a diva, like everyone is disrespecting him he’s allowed to feel ashamed that people wash him and treat him like a cat (he’s still a human soul after all) but the fact is he IS human and he is very rude to the ML who literally treats him like royalty even humans are not treated that way, how im I supposed to like an MC who treats bad someone who is the nicest to him the MC is an... more>> idiot who never takes in consideration the fact that he’s a cat and blames people for not knowing for example when he is served cat food he acts arrogantly and turns around angrily ?? Yeah indeed the novel is really good I’d say I like that there was no insta relationship.

There’s no drama here That’s what I can assure you for what I understand.

There was a misunderstanding but it’s not drama yeah.

I don’t know if it’s just me or I really never felt excitement while reading this or some kind of real fluff because sometimes the ML laugh at MC but it’s actually not funny.

I guess it’s just because of how mature they are they don’t act as an extremely intimate couple like other ones with extreme fluff. (This one depends on who is reading it)

But I’d say it was a pretty balanced relationship.

I don’t know if I’d really recommend this but I can assure you it’s quite a good read and nice way to waste time. (Just read it L)

The story went downfall and what I meant by that is that it just got way boring for me I’m not sure if I’d be the same for you but yeah I really enjoyed first half of the novel when the MC is still just a cat yeah quite cute.

The ML is being mentioned as having some kind of fluff extreme problem control something (he likes Fluffy thing ya)
but I think it’s not quite the extreme maybe it’s just because he is again “mature” within his age and I was kind of expecting extreme fluff and cute moments when it is said that ML yeah again have the extreme problem whatever

And don’t misunderstood me, there is indeed a fluff and cute moments but not EXTREMELY EXAGGERATED but you can expect a fluff yeah no kidding

I’m not sure how much of a fluff is extremely exaggerated to you in your fluffy scale but I mean like... Just know That there will be indeed fluff and cute moments

Pretty good. The story flows nicely and the relationship between the two feels legit.

Good thing is the drama is not that heavy. So this is a nice light read and a bit of fluff too.

At the first start the relationship is a bit rocky because of circumstances, but the build is quite good and furthermore after the relationship is locked became pretty sweet and funny.

No more comment to avoid spoilers on the MC and ML.

I usually like calm, strong, intelligent and hard-working MCs. The MC in this novel did not quite fit my standards, but I did not really mind all that much.

Xu Jian, aside from his relatively good-looking face and hard-working nature when it comes to acting, is just your regular Joe Shmoe with really low EQ and slightly higher IQ. He is pretty simple-minded and naive and in no way op. In fact, he seems to suck in a lot of things when compared to the Qin Chen, the ML. Aside from... more>> cooking which he is just okay at Qin Chen triumphs over him at basically everything, be it intellect, looks, physical activities or drinking.

The story progressed at a decent pace and the plot is also nice. The only thing I did not really like was how drawn out the variety show was that the two main leads participated in. But it might just be a personal problem as I have found myself getting bored while reading other novels during variety shows, too. Maybe I just don't like variety shows... Who knows~

Either way, I did not notice any plot holes. The main characters and side characters were likeable and antagonists were not all that braindead either. Some even got away with their bs for quite a while before being done away so their scheming skills were better than expected to an extent.

Since there aren't any major complaints I would say I could recommend this novel for any BL lovers. <<less

A very sweet and fun story, not too long.

The translation is also very good, but website has a few ads, in case you are reading from your phone.

No major relationship drama! It is all solved quickly. The ML is very soft to MC and MC is very naive, so if you don't like super pampering MLs and innocent MC this might not be for you. The cat transformation is very fun and MC sells lots of meng!

However, after the mystery of why MC is turned into a cat is solved,... more>> the cat aspect is placed into the backburner and becomes more about entertainment circle. It is also a bit rushed and tiny bit boring at the end.

The extras are very cute! The side CP needs a bit more love IMO but that might just be because I MTLed and didn't understand everything.

Just feel the need to write my current impressions after 55 chapters.

So...I'm actually struggling a bit with this story... The reason is the way the author has the ML behave and the positions that puts the MC in.

During the time that the ML thinks the MC is a normal cat, the MC is often put in really frustrating and/or humiliating positions by the ML. Some of these situations come from things a reasonable and responsible human might do to a normal cat, but for a... more>> human they're really frustrating or embarassing and I inevitably become frustrated for the MC. Not perhaps the ML's fault, but definitely the author's fault for making him the instrument of the MC's humiliation or irritation, and for liking to do it so often. The rest of the situations come about through things like the ML's stubbornness, stickiness, conceit etc. and that makes them even more irritating and prevents me from liking the ML as much as I'd like to.

Once the eventually ML knows he's really a human, most of those "reasonable for a cat but not a human" irritations go. However, the ML loves to tease - properly tease - the MC, who is pretty naive and soft. I find this an irritating trait in any person - I can't see anything kind in willfully making someone distressed for your own entertainment - but it's worse because, at least up 'til my current chapter, the ML is in a position of power in the relationship. He is more physically powerful than a cat, the MC is completely dependant on the ML, and the ML is also generally a bit smarter and more cluey than the MC - and he intentionally takes advantage of this. Whether it's teasing the MC to the point of genuine distress or putting on an act that he knows will distress the MC just because he's got a touch of that jealously possessive ML syndrome, I don't find it enjoyable. (It may be only short-lived distress, but it's frequent.) It prevents me from being able to believe in the ML as someone who genuinely cares about the MC more than his own whims or pettiness. And I do want to.

I should make something really clear here: I naturally have a very low tolerance level for this kind of relationship dynamic. I empathise with any MC constantly put in situations where he is powerless and embarassed in the name of comedy, and I feel the second-hand frustration and humiliation quite strongly. What I am describing in this half-review is how I personally feel while reading this story.

For many readers, this level of teasing would be very mild. The point at which the ML pulls back won't be too far for them. For some readers, they'd even find it hilarious or endearing. Even I don't think this by any means a really terrible and evil ML. The author is trying really hard to show other good things about him and the teasing is clearly intended by the author as something amusing and harmless. I think many readers would take it as such.

It's just that I suddenly realised I've actually been frowning while reading - for five chapters straight - while the MC is swung around by the ML's intentional selfishness. I don't want to be unfair, it's not without any break, but sometimes it's not a very long break.

I'm invested in this MC's story. I want to find out what happens to him. But when a story is making me maintain a subconscious frown, when I realise I've been enduring, in the hope that I will soon feel some relief from the irritation, rather than enjoying the story... Then I'm genuinely starting to feel like it mightn't be worth continuing with this.

This is not all there is to the story. There's the sometimes dim but not unthoughtful MC. Some will find him too "s*upid, " but for me I usually find him to be someone who is able to accept things and try to make the best of his circumstances rather than to question everything and get caught up in deep and negative thoughts.

There are some nice moments of ML care and consideration. Finding out more about the MC background also gives the story some interesting development.

It's a fairly lightweight story, written with the intention of being mostly amusing and fluffy, and it is overall successful in this.

It just happens to be one of those "light and amusing" stories where a lot of the entertainment comes at the expense of the MC's feelings. And so, although this is never intended to be something serious or heavy, it is the type of story I find myself struggling with, considering my poor tolerance levels for an ML putting the MC through distress for his own entertainment or relief. <<less

Finally finished... I read last chapters mtl 😋

In general it was a good story and I enjoyed it the only problem is it was so long and I'm not so good with long stories and sometimes really want to finish in blink 😪

But it had it own speciallity so when I was tired it made me curious again

... more>> The entertainment part wasn't anything special just about theur fans arguing and didm't explain MC's popularity clearely

Their romance was sweet and ML was my favourite because he is cool, possessive and clingy 😅

Full of Fluff novel!

It's really Fluff! But with few Unsolved Mysteries so far. I really wonder how the Author would make MC and ML find the truth. Because the Mysteries wasn't Dangerous or anything so far. But because we don't know if it really harmless, it made us (readers) somewhat worried.

Our MC and ML has Wonderful personality. Not Perfect but Pretty Good so far. Absolutely Lovable and Enjoyable characters. While the side. Supporting characters also pretty good. Don't take much space nor appear too little. And so far, they're nice... more>> to read.

The Romance was Builded up nicely. Not Fast, not Early, but also not Slow. The Identity reveal also definitely not Slow or late. There's no secret between MC and ML... Well, not really, if you don't count ML Not 'Saying' anything about his family background as a Secret.

Anyway this novel is more than expected in Absolutely Pretty Good way!! I'm LOVING IT!!!

Pray so hard the rest of the story is as Great and thr Translation won't stop!!!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 <<less

Turn into a cat or fish or other animal

And just like sooo many other novels that has reincarnation or transmigration or the system whatever that is

the MC has to be either super talented/OP/overly scheming or super dense to the point of s*upidity

and the ML has to be your typical stoic, rich, and possessive bastard but whatever

the plot is meeeeh, super predictable like the other novels

This is too sweet

It hits you with fluff, fluff and more fluff

And if your a plush control like Qin Chen you'll definitely like this

It's a quick read, not much drama and it focuses more on Xin Yuan and Qin Chens plush life than the entertainment circle

By 40 chapter ish

The entire plot is basically explained and now it just time to be fed dog food left and right

All in all it's a good shounen ai

The MTL is easy to understand so I continue reading it. All I can say is that the story is good and has an explaination on why MC turned into a cat.

One of the reason I read this is because of the MC being a CAT.

To be honest I have a mixed feeling with this one..

In one hand; I like how the author explained the reason behind MC's supernatural incident happened in fantastically logical way (if that makes sense).

In the other hand; I'm tired of an overbearing, double standard ML where they only see everything MC did was cute. I also feel author could make MC use his brain a little rather than leaving it as an organ that a living organism have. Oh wait, he's a novel character so MC might not have it.

I... more>> leave it 3* for the supporting characters since they were more interesting than an inconsistent ML and airheaded MC.

Loved it!!!! I MTLed the rest but it is quite easy to read. Once the novel is fully translated, I will read it again.

The MC and ML are so sweet. The interactions when the MC is a cat are funny and cute. When the ML know the MC is a human, there wasn't alienation and ofc they become closer. If you want to read for the romance, then this one is what you looking for. The side couple's story is also sweet and glad they finally have a good ending.

As... more>> for the plot, the reasons for the MC becoming a cat are explained. However, I wish there is more about the careers of the MC and ML. Also, I would have liked to see more of the ML's childhood friends and MC's best friends as there was actually potential for them to become more richer characters.

Anyway, I loved this novel! Highly recommended! <<less

It's really full of fluff and sugar. HE. I wanna be cat demon too. MC is so cute and fluffy 😻😻

I'm glad there is an explanation for the supernatural as I was just finished another book which ended without explanation why.

Oh very good, even though Xu Jian (MC) was revealed to be a cat earlier, Qin Chen (ML) did not immediately believe in MC. And their relationship also goes slowly and gradually. ML's love for MC was also not rushed and the misunderstanding didn't last long either. Our MC is really innocent in emotion and true said ML and Jiang Lin even if MC is kidnapped maybe he will also help count money. The MC and uncle's family are so sweet, I really want to see their moments again. Actually... more>> I was not satisfied because in the end I was still lacking, maybe because after they left the wardrobe a few chapters later the story ended. <<less
